At the end of 2007, the government resolved to establish the State Corporation “Rostec,” to which it proceeded to transfer a significant share of the country’s industrial assets. At the heart of the decision to create the State Corporation was the intention to support Russia’s industrial complex through hard times and make home industries competitive on the world markets.
