Casualty count in Russia train wreck up to almost 30

An emergency official said at least 27 people were injured, three of them critically, after an explosion derailed a dozen cars on a Russian passenger train traveling from Moscow to St. Petersburg late Monday. Original estimates reported ten casualties.
The derailment occurred around 9:30 pm local time, near the city of Novgorod, about 500 kilometers (300 miles) northwest of Moscow. (AP)
