On September 28, a presentation and press conference dedicated to the start of the tour of the Moscow Musical Theatre named after K.S. Stanislavsky and Vl.I. Nemirovich-Danchenko with the legendary ballet “Swan Lake” took place at the Beijing Comedy Theatre, in which diplomats from the Russian Embassy in China also took part.

In addition to the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Russia and China and the cross-cultural Years of the two countries to be held in 2024-2025, the tour is given special symbolism by the 70th anniversary of the first performance of Swan Lake abroad by the aforementioned Theatre, whose ballet troupe came to Beijing in 1954 at the personal invitation of Mao Zedong.

In his address to representatives of creative circles and Chinese media, the Director of the Theatre Andrei Borisov emphasized that the current tour fulfills an important mission to support and develop humanitarian cooperation between Russia and China.

🗓️ The tour of Russian artists will take place at the Poli theaters in Beijing (September 29), Shanghai (October 3) and Shenzhen (October 7-8).
