The Main Investigation Department of the Russian Investigative Committee continues to investigate the criminal case of a terrorist attack in Crocus City Hall.

The ninth member of the organized group was brought to criminal responsibility; he was charged under paragraph “b” of Part 3 of Art. 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (commission by an organized group of a terrorist act resulting in the death of citizens). Investigators continue systematic work to collect and consolidate evidence of the guilt of the accused, to identify their accomplices and organizers of the terrorist act.

Those accused of committing a terrorist attack in their initial testimony, during subsequent interrogations and other investigative activities with their participation, reported that their actions, both at the preparation stage and after the armed attack in Crocus City Hall, through voice messages through the Telegram messenger coordinated by a man who introduced himself to them under a pseudonym.

On the instructions of the coordinator, after committing the crime, the terrorists drove in a car towards the Russian-Ukrainian border to subsequently cross it and arrive in Kyiv to receive the reward they were promised.

The investigation continues to carry out a set of investigative actions and operational measures to verify the involvement of representatives of the Ukrainian special services in organizing and financing the terrorist attack.
