Snow, snow and well more snow in Moscow, Russia!

We still have our New Year Trees to look at while we walk…

Going to snow all week and probably next week….as it did last week and the week before and before that….it has been not the warmest winter, but a still a warm winter for us here in Moscow. Still frozen, yet only in the negative single digit frozen…

Again we are walking in the tree tops at times. The snow packed paths are over a meter deep in packed snow and ice. It is very interesting to find that you standard path, which the tree limbs were way above your head, have become able to poke you in the eyes as you walk…

People are having to break off limbs to get anywhere in areas….I myself can now see over literally all fences and see what treasures are hidden behind that fence…

More and more people are simply parking their car and usually upon a mountain of snow, then leaving it until God decides to thaw the place. It has become simple deadly to try to get around. All roads are basically one lane and rutted deep. Cars are bottoming out as they try to get around and trying to get out of the frozen ruts is nigh impossible…

So we walk and walk to get things done. The image to the right is a recent image from one of our walks and we just love this tree. It is a live tree that the people decorate every year and this year the snow is layered perfectly and creates a glowing tree….it is magical!

Svetochka does take some excellent pictures…
