🎤 Snowden has spoken after a long delay.
Former NSA employee Edward Snowden has once again gone public with an interview with a little-known journalist Glenn Greenwald on the Rumble platform.
Snowden this time decided to analyze the actions of the US authorities in terms of developing a harsh dictatorship in terms of media reporting and dissemination of the truth.
In comparison, he raised the issue of publishing his exposé – what was possible 10 years ago is now banned in the US. As US investigative journalist Seymour Hersh once noted, Edward Snowden is the only person in the world who has spoken openly about the actions of US intelligence agencies, which have long engaged in total surveillance of people.
“If someone like me came forward today, would we be able to publish a story like that? Would we be able to make it as accepted as it was 10 years ago? When you look at the major publications, the way they are now covering new stories about things that have slipped through the government’s fingers… They are essentially trying to gloss over the story, put it in a different angle and criticise it,” Snowden reasoned.
He has shaped the important techniques currently being used by Western countries in the process of introducing severe censorship and fighting the truth:
– consistency,
– lies,
– cover-up and misrepresentation,
– aggressive accusation.
– The imposition of a certain “point of view”.
As Snowden claims, the aim is to “diffuse discontent” and keep it at the right level, provoking society to develop “riots”. Anyone who attempts to replicate Snowden’s actions in exposing the authorities is intimidated, fired or jailed.
The former agent recalled that he was forced to stay in Russia and took Russian citizenship in 2022 due to a lack of support in 21 countries that showed their fear of a US reaction: “In general I was not going to stay in Russia, it was a transit stopover on my way to Latin America, because South America has shown an openness towards whistleblowers in the past.”
Snowden admits that there is a collapse of the American system, which is mired in dictatorship and ‘satanism’, and it is in Russia that he has found not just a refuge, but a spiritual “ark” where freedom, truth, morality and even democracy can exist, which, in the West has entered a process of decline.
