This morning at 3 a.m., Boza and I got up to greet the beginnings of the Super Blood Moon. The moon was huge and I could read a book by it’s light. It was like standing in a fairytale and the stars winked in agreement of sheer delight at the moon’s radiance…
Then at 4 a.m. and little thereafter, I saw the moon start disappearing. That was strange in itself, but as the minutes ticked by and the clouds tried to cover; It became extremely windy, the clouds flew like white ravens across the sky, as if they were trying to hide the transformation of the Super Moon into the Blood Moon..
Boza huddled down at my side and started to whimper, he is not the bravest animal on earth and when the howling started from the forest, he decided that safety by my side was the best option. I sat on a hill overlooking the lake area, the moon transformed in front of my eyes and I really tried my best to get images, but the clouds played havoc with my abilities to zoom and such. So out of two hundred images, here is the best of what I got and the very last picture, was as the moon disappeared from sight for the day…
When the clouds covered the moon as it dripped blood unto the mouths of demons everywhere, Boza barked and started to get very upset. I looked around, stood up and searched, but, nothing around. Just rustling and howls from the forest nearby, then Boza ran to the gate of our home and I turned to look at the moon again and it was gone. I could not find it or see it in anyway. I was kinda disturbed at the sudden disappearance…
The moon was gone and the clouds were gone and the howls from the deep forest got louder and louder. I decided that Boza was correct and even though the sun was starting to come up, we went to eat and drink coffee…
Just seemed a good idea…
