Svetochka is gone for now… :( but :)

Photo0012Svetochka left Boza and I to fend for ourselves. Sveta came a the best time, Boza needed her and I needed help to care for Boza. Boza was very sick and Sveta came in perfect time to save the day…

Sveta did two things that made all the difference in the world. Walked Boza and weeded the garden. Well a few hugs and kisses are day and or life savers also! 😉

We made one last trip to the Big Village and got the last of the auto parts for fixing the Volga. The car made it home, but can no farther until I replace the water pump. I have food, parts and will work all week on the car. I have to work around the weather and the mosquitoes…

Sveta walked to the bus stop and took a taxi from there to the train station in the Big Village. I was ordered to stay home with Boza. Boza gets upset when Svetochka leaves and we wanted to keep the impact to minimal. Boza has been too sick to allow him to get upset as his mommy walks away out of sight…

I reluctantly agreed and just watched her disappear from sight and got upset myself. She was right as she always is and while Boza won’t eat this morning yet. We took a good walk and he is happy. He keeps looking for Sveta and sighs as he resigns himself to her being gone again…

Therefore, after I get a few things done today. I will start taking the front radiator out of the Volga. I plan on taking most of the week to do this, for I will rebuild anything I can as I find issues. I will also flush out the radiator and see what comes of it all…

I blew the budget for the next month, buying parts for the car. Total was about 5000 rubles for all parts, fluids, new belts and other goodies. That is 75 dollars for Americans and for this village guy, that is a months worth of food easily. It is a good thing that things here are cheap…

Our Volga is such a smooth road car and she is worth putting the money into. We bought her for about 50,000 rubles many years ago and has rewarded us with fantastic service. Time to get her feeling better, just like Boza had to get better…

I want to thank the people who have sent Boza donations. He has lots of good food, lots of medications and lots of love…
