A new type of visa added to the business, tourist, travel and others has been approved by the Russian government. This visa will allow up to one year’s stay in the country for any foreigners who speak Russian and desire to receive Russian citizenship. This allows them to have access to Russia and then fill out the applications and such. This visa may be renewed one time and only one time… (more…)
Morning everyone!
I thought I would spiel a few rambling thoughts this morning and I will start with our electrical situation in the Russian Village. Then I will talk about our new village washing machine and maybe wander around to anything else that excites me…
We were amazed and happy for within a day, one of the village guys (I call him Volva,) climbed up the tower and swapped circuits to put us back online. Then he called the power company and told them that they did not have to come out. That is how it is done in the village, for the power company would most likely have taken several days to get here, for it was not considered an emergency…
I have seen in the past how the villagers fix everything themselves, including messing around with the power lines. This same man who fixed the power in the village, ended up also rewiring around a power pole that broke in the storm the day before. He just does it and as with everyone, they all just do it. It is called survival… (more…)
In the period between the end of World War Two and Marshall’s meeting with Truman [May 12, 1948], the Joint Chiefs of Staff had issued no less than sixteen (by my count) papers on the Palestine issue. The most important of these was issued on March 31, 1948 and entitled “Force Requirements for Palestine.” In that paper, the JCS predicted that “the Zionist strategy will seek to involve [the United States] in a continuously widening and deepening series of operations intended to secure maximum Jewish objectives.” The JCS speculated that these objectives included: initial Jewish sovereignty over a portion of Palestine, acceptance by the great powers of the right to unlimited immigration, the extension of Jewish sovereignty over all of Palestine and the expansion of “Eretz Israel” into Transjordan and into portions of Lebanon and Syria. This was not the only time the JCS expressed this worry. In late 1947, the JCS had written that “A decision to partition Palestine, if the decision were supported by the United States, would prejudice United States strategic interests in the Near and Middle East” to the point that “United States influence in the area would be curtailed to that which could be maintained by military force.” That is to say, the concern of the Joint Chiefs of Staff was not with the security of Israel- but with the security of American lives.”Philip Weiss (more…)
I found this article and this article is a byproduct of a very sick world society. This article is being used to push the public and see what will be accepted. I am posting it because they removed this article after many people came down upon the 5TJT.com, Times of Israel. (Some of us do care and voice our opinion!) There is no link anymore and an apology is following the article from the author. The point is, this should have never been posted and many articles like this should never be posted and I am posting this article to make sure that we do not cover up the disgusting display of ignorance that we displayed in this article post on the world-wide web…
May we never accept genocide as a reasonable way to solve issues…

President Obama announced last week that he was imposing yet another round of sanctions on Russia, this time targeting financial, arms, and energy sectors. The European Union, as it has done each time, quickly followed suit.
These sanctions will not produce the results Washington demands, but they will hurt the economies of the US and EU, as well as Russia.
These sanctions are, according to the Obama administration, punishment for what it claims is Russia’s role in the crash of Malaysia Airlines Flight 17, and for what the president claims is Russia’s continued arming of separatists in eastern Ukraine. Neither of these reasons makes much sense because neither case has been proven. (more…)
It will be interesting to watch how long it takes to fix the transformer in the village. I have posted about this monstrous looking device in the past. Well last night it started to buzz real loud and then two hours later, kaput, out went the lights… (more…)

The new rules for blogging in Russia missed me. I have the traffic, but I write in English only and target an English audience. I also do not have any issues with compliance and will most likely check on if it is better to sign up or not, for mass media? (more…)

Have to give the Monastery credit, they are serious about working on the place and it looks like they are getting ready to roof the old cafeteria office building. It is fantastic inside and has an all brick curved roof, which if not fixed now, will collapse and I think that is the motivation… (more…)
I have no doubt that Russia while being hurt by sanctions for a short time will survive, because she has been switching directions for years now. Russia has been, for as long as I have been writing about them, looking east, while at the same time letting the west slip into obscurity in an orderly fashion. This is the same that China has been doing also… (more…)
