Sometimes Sveta is not sure what to think about me….I study such a vast array of information, that I am sure she wonders if I am sane at times. I think constantly and it never stops, even in my dreams I will find that what I worked on during the day extends all night also….I have been looking at how important we are in the schemes of the universe…

Our tiny Sun is one of about 200 billion stars (actually perhaps more) just in our Milky Way Galaxy, that we live in. In the image above is 10,000 galaxies….give or take billions = 2,000,000,000,000,000 (Two quadrillion stars)….try that on for size…

But that image above is only a small portions of what we are able to see and look at with Hubble and like type instruments…

Our universe has about 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 (that’s 1 sextillion) stars (I personally thing it is much bigger). They don’t know yet because the guy counting them is not done. But he is working hard at counting… 😉

Still think we are special and alone?

Think again, shear mathematics says we are not alone…

PS: I must say, numbers this big do not compute with most calculators, even Google was getting messed up at times….along with super intelligent people seem to not understand that us laymen just want to see huge numbers and to hell with to the power times something something something….huge long numbers look cool…

Tidbit Time: MACS J1149+2223 Lensed Star 1, is the farthest individual star ever seen. It is only visible because it is being magnified by the gravity of a massive galaxy cluster, located about 5 billion light-years from Earth…

1 lightyear is 9,460,730,472,580.8 kilometers. and that my friend means 5 billion light years equals = 4.7303652362904e+22 kilometers??? and or so far that we still do not know where the universe really ends…

Better yet: 5 billion light years is 1533006969.018 parsecs and parsecs to light years is 1 p to 3.26156 ly…

That makes it all better, huh?

There is also the number “googol”. It has 100 zeros after it, and it looks like this:

Now that is a number and is close to the amount of particles in the universe and thus after that point anything else is basically stupid and worthless in our eyes….but we have those numbers and I decided to ignore them. called the “googolplex”

A googolplex is the number 10googol, or equivalently, 10(10100). Written out in ordinary decimal notation, it is 1 followed by 10100 zeroes, that is, a 1 followed by a googol zeroes…

We in the West love Mikhail Gorbachev. He was called later, Gorby by much of America and by us that discussed him. It was a term that we picked up from the West German participants. I was involved in many discussions about Gorby in the Soviet Union and many cups of coffee was consumed while discussing the Soviet Union and Mikhail Gorbachev… (Gorby)

I was a member of a think tank that was responsible for information gathering and discussion on how to derail the Soviet Union…

By 1984 we had already had our hopes pinned on one individual. Unbeknown to this individual he was supported in full by special interests groups in America. Even before 1984 we had supported press articles to promote this individual. Why even the Nobel Peace Prize idea was born during these think tanks. The groundwork was being laid to have a non suspecting representational figure in the Soviet Union…

The star of these talks was Gorby…

Then President Regan was instrumental to the whole plan and was also a guided presentation to the end goal. Luckily Regan and Gorby seemed to acclimate well enough together to make it feasible…

Now that is really all that I am going to say, except for how the Western press presented Gorby. We had a goal to portray Gorby as a christian, a moral person and the next best thing to Apple Pie, Coke and Chevrolet…

It worked…

Now the reason that I have brought up very old memories is that I now see a new situation in Russia that resembles the past. This situation has been planned. I see the same pattern and I see the bought off person in Russia right now…

So all I am going to say is, Russia needs to look around and watch who receives the praises of the West. For with those praises comes undertow intentions to her society…

Russia Says Full Pages Of Robert Mueller Report Should Be Public – Bloomberg

Russia called on the U.S. to publish in full Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s report, saying this is the best way to clear up allegations of Russian meddling in the 2016 U.S. presidential elections.“I’d like to read the entire report,” Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said in an interview with Ekho Moskvy radio on Thursday. “Let them publish it in full and at least we’ll find out what it’s based on.”

This morning as I walked, fifteen of then just along the main highway and there is an app for android and Apple. The app is how they get the car. Pay through the app and get the code to drive the car. Yes, you have to be set up in their account first though…

I watched a young man trying to get a car. He stood there and his girlfriend or wife was tapping her foot in a miffed way. The guy was under the gun and he knew it. He failed, someone walked out the flats nearby and unlocked the car with his phone and said, “Excuse me and goodbye!”

The gun went off (bang bang) and that pretty Renault, would have to become a Chevy….as a foot was tapping…

Interesting, reminds me of loaner cars so so many years ago and that turned out to be a sad affair actually, but lets keep trying…

I just had to open my mouth and say, “Springtime!”

I was waken last night from sleep. I sleep very light and many things will wake me. But last night I was glad to be woken..

I went into the kitchen and got a drink of water and while I was pouring that water, I opened the window and I heard the train whistle in the distance singing her song as she traipsed into the night. Then while the lonesome whistle blew, the Orthodox Church down the road joined in the chorus and rang her bells in tune to the Whistle…

I sat at the kitchen table listened to the train whistle get fainter and fainter. The church bells rang their last ding. I drank that wonderful cold water and thought how lucky I am to have cold water to drink…

I have listened to trains blow their whistles in many countries. They always sound the same and in reality a train is a common denominator that is stable all over the world.

Whether in Africa, America, Mexico, Russia, Canada, Germany, Spain, Vietnam, Ukraine, Moldova and or one of the many other places I have been. The train whistle has always made me stop and think about how lucky I am. It just is the sound, far off in the distance that calls to me and touches my soul…

The song of the bells at the Orthodox Church made it extra special and gave me that memory that makes it so Russian…

If you have never heard the train whistle deep into the night, then you have missed out on part of what makes life interesting. The whistle of a train is a special sound and is part of the blues in America…

I travel by train a lot in Russia because it is the fast and cheapest way to transverse this humongous country. I love the train and am glad that Russian trains talk like all the other trains in the world.

It just makes the world seem a lot smaller when I hear a train whistle…

Look closely…at the image, see what surrounds him. This is the man who had a dream and he fulfilled it. This is the man who put Sputnik in orbit and….

Korolev’s unexpected death in 1966 interrupted implementation of his plans for a Soviet manned Moon landing before the United States 1969 mission.

It is said that he would have done the impossible and his death at 59 years old ended that dream…

The Soviet émigré Leonid Vladimirov said of Korolev: Short of stature, heavily built, with head sitting awkwardly on his body, with brown eyes glistening with intelligence, he was a skeptic, a cynic and a pessimist who took the gloomiest view of the future. ‘We are all going to be whacked and there will be no obituary’ (Khlopnut bez nekrologa, Хлопнут без некролога – i.e. “we will all vanish without a trace”) was his favorite expression.

Russia always amazes me. A few weeks ago there was a totally sufficient bus stop, not blocking the sidewalk. Then along came intelligence and decided that we need and new one and we need to walk around the bus stop and they stuck it smack in the center of the sidewalk. When the bus stop is busy, you have to walk around the back side in the grass….and soon an unsightly path will develop… 😉

Literally across the street from Sveta’s mothers home is our new home. We were given the opportunity to receive this home as a gift for being a very good friend to the owner who had died almost two years ago. Still costing us money to get all the paper work done and fees and taxes and whatnot, but it is ours. The big issue we have is that the original owners never registered the land….just the home!

Therefore, costs of just getting everything legal and correct will be almost more than what we have to spend. We even have to pay for survey of the property to get the land legal. The wife of Nicolai who is giving the home to us, has given Sveta full power of attorney and is helping all she can. She tried to get it all done in the past and it overwhelmed her then. But now Svetochka is on the job and one thing Sveta has is patience…

This is Sveta’s mothers home (below) and you know about this village home from years of articles with Boza, Svetochka and I living there…

So we have two homes to work on. We hope to get Babushka to come and stay the summer and since we have a little grandkid monkey and another on its way! (Yes, Sveta’s son soon to be daddy again!) The usage of the Tiny Russian Village homes is assured to be more active in the future years to come. I suspect that Pro-Babushka (Great Grandma) will want to come and stay a few weeks, at least while, the great grandkids are running the village…

So this summer is vital that we get both homes in tip top shape…

Next summer (2020) should be play time for Sveta’s number one grandkid…

They want three or four kids….hmm…

I stopped today and thought about something…

Coming to Russia was the hardest thing I ever did….but….it turned out after all, the best thing I ever did in my life for myself. My life was spent always doing what others wanted. From the government to family. Sveta opened the door and I made a decision and never regretted that decision…

Sveta is the sweetest girl in the world, Vova is the best buddy a guy can have, Nicolai (who has died) became the father I never really had and the Russian culture has embraced me and taught me about life again. Why I even learned a bunch about life from Boza our Russian Doggy…

Anyone who has followed this blog, knows that I have a very full life here in Russia. It is never dull, never terrible and most always an adventure of a lifetime…

It struck me today: Nicolai adopted me in the last few years of his life and him and I had some good times traveling weekly and shopping for things at the Big Village. He tried to show me things to make life better and life easier in the Tiny Russian Village…

Sad though, that he is gone: I mentioned once that death comes in three’s: We lost Boris, Nicolai and Boza (Our Doggy) and they were all very special. all in the same year and very very important friends to me… RIP you all…
