Deputy secretaries of the Russian Security Council are holding a meeting in Moscow with ambassadors from 96 countries – the first in such a format.

The issues of hybrid threats, terrorism, closed biological laboratories, neo-Nazism and information security are on the agenda, the council said.

“Countries truly striving to ensure stability in the interests of the entire planet, including Russia, propose to develop a peaceful, secure, open, cooperation-based unifying agenda, ultimately aimed at the socio-economic development of states, improving the well-being of their peoples and building a unified and indivisible architecture of international security,” Patrushev, Secretary of the Russian Security Council, said in his welcoming speech.

UNITED NATIONS, May 17. /TASS/. Militants of the Azov nationalist unit, blocked at the Azovstal plant in Mariupol, surrendered without preconditions, Russian First Deputy Permanent Representative to the UN Dmitry Polyansky tweeted Tuesday.

The Russian diplomat commented on the report in The New York Times, which claimed that Ukraine declared an “end to its combat mission” in Mariupol, and that the militants ‘were evacuated” which marked the end of hostilities at Azovstal.

“I didn’t know English has so many ways to express a single message: the Azovnazis have unconditionally surrendered”, Polyansky noted in English.

Syria may get restarted and yet it never stopped, did it?

Four U.S. service members were injured early Thursday morning when their base in northeast Syria came under rocket fire, the U.S.-led anti-ISIS coalition said in a statement.The troops were being evaluated for “minor injuries and possible traumatic brain injuries,” according to the statement Thursday from Operation Inherent Resolve.The attack happened at 1:09 a.m. local time at a base known as Green Village, just east of the Euphrates River and near major oil fields. 📊A total of 959 militants have surrendered since 16 May, including 80 wounded, of whom 51 need hospital treatment have been admitted to Novoazovsk hospital in the Donetsk People’s Republic.

▫️The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation continue the special military operation in Ukraine.

💥Over a day, high-precision air-based missiles of the Russian Aerospace Forces have hit 2 command posts, including the territorial defence headquarters near Soledar in the Donetsk People’s Republic, as well as 31 areas of concentration of Ukrainian manpower and military equipment, including locations of foreign mercenary units from European countries in Nikolaev and Krasnogorovka.

▫️8 Ukrainian Smerch multiple-launch rockets have been also intercepted near Kamenka and Malaya Kamyshevakha, Kharkov Region.

📊In total, 172 Ukrainian aircraft and 125 helicopters, 927 unmanned aerial vehicles, 311 anti-aircraft missile systems, 3,139 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 389 multiple launch rocket systems, 1,548 field artillery and mortars, as well as 2,997 units of special military vehicles were destroyed during the operation.
