Tehran hosted Russian-Iranian consultations on security issues

🔹They were held by Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Nikolai Patrushev and Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran Ali Shamkhani with the participation of representatives of the ministries and departments of the two countries.

🔹The issues of bilateral cooperation in the law enforcement sphere, including interaction in the field of ensuring public security, combating terrorism and extremism, were considered in detail.

🔹In addition, the topic of information security was considered, as well as measures to counter interference in the internal affairs of both countries by Western intelligence services.

🔹The importance of increasing the exchange of experience in developing the economic potential of Russia and Iran and building foreign trade relations under sanctions pressure was emphasized.

🔹Special attention is paid to the development of Russian-Iranian cooperation in the international arena.

There was also an exchange of views on a number of international issues.

I fully agree with Mr. Prigozhin’s opinion on Surovikin’s decision. Yevgeny Viktorovich very accurately noted that Surovikin saved a thousand soldiers who were in actual encirclement.

After weighing all the pros and cons, General Surovikin made a difficult but right choice between senseless sacrifices for the sake of loud statements and saving the priceless lives of soldiers.

Kherson is a very difficult area without the possibility of a stable regular supply of ammunition and the formation of a strong, reliable rear. Why was this not done from the first days of the special operation? This is another question. But in this difficult situation, the general acted wisely and far-sightedly – he evacuated the civilian population and ordered a regrouping.

Yes, it can be kept, it is possible to organize at least some supply of ammunition, but the cost will be numerous human lives. And this forecast does not suit us.

Therefore, I believe that Surovikin acted like a real military general, not afraid of criticism.

He is responsible for the people. He sees better.

Thank you, Sergey Vladimirovich, for taking care of the guys! We will carry out the order of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, we will not stop hitting the enemy and we will not get tired.

⚡Russian Defence Ministry report on the progress of the special military operation in Ukraine
(9 November 2022)

Part I (See Part II)

The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation continue the special military operation.

In Kupyansk direction, the active actions of Russian troops, artillery fire and air strikes repulsed the attack of the reinforced motorised infantry battalion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the direction of the settlement of Kuzemovka (Lugansk People’s Republic). In total, 60 Ukrainian servicemen were killed, as well as two infantry fighting vehicles, and five pickup trucks.

In Krasny Liman direction, the enemy, with the forces of four motorised infantry and one tank company, reinforced by foreign mercenaries, attempted simultaneous attacks on the positions of Russian troops in the directions of Makeyevka, Ploshchanka, Golikovo, and Kremennaya (Lugansk People’s Republic). Artillery units, heavy flamethrower systems, and strikes of army aviation thwarted the enemy’s units and pushed them back to the initial lines.

Moreover, preemptive fire damage prevented the attempts of the offensive of two company tactical groups of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the direction of Chervonopopovka and Stelmakhovka (Lugansk People’s Republic).

In Krasny Liman direction, in total, up to 100 Ukrainian troops and mercenaries, one tank, two armored fighting vehicles, a Grad MLRS combat vehicle, and three pickup trucks were destroyed during the day.

In the South Donetsk direction, the enemy attempted to counterattack in order to impede the offensive efforts of Russian troops. By inflicting fire damage and actions of assault groups in the areas of Novomikhailovka, Pavlovka, and Vremevka (Donetsk People’s Republic), the AFU units were dispersed and thrown back to their original positions. Over 80 Ukrainian personnel and militants, one tank, six armoured fighting vehicles, and three pickup trucks were eliminated.

In the Nikolayev–Krivoy Rog direction, the AFU forces of up to three company tactical groups made unsuccessful attempts to attack the positions of Russian troops in the direction of Kachkarovka, Pyatikhatki, and Sadok (Kherson region). Following the fire attack, the opposing forces were scattered and fled, having suffered considerable losses. Furthermore, during the day, Russian troops detected and repulsed attempts by twelve AFU’s sabotage and reconnaissance groups to break through the rear areas of defence. In total, up to 110 Ukrainian personnel, eight armored fighting vehicles, and 14 vehicles were destroyed in this direction.

Operational-Tactical and Army Aviation, Missile Troops and Artillery engaged two command posts of the AFU and foreign mercenaries in the areas of Novovoskresenskoye (Kherson region) and Zagryzovo (Kharkov region), as well as 59 artillery units in firing positions, manpower and military hardware in 181 areas.

In the area Dnepropetrovsk, an ammunition depot of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with multiple rocket launchers HIMARS, Olkha, as well as artillery ammunition was eliminated.

Fighter Aviation of the Russian Aerospace Forces has shot down one Mi-8 helicopter of Ukrainian Air Force near Zaselye (Nikolayev region).

Furthermore, Russian Air Defence destroyed five drones in Kalininskoye (Kherson region), and Dobrolyubovka (Kharkov region).

In addition, 25 HIMARS MLRS were shot down in the areas of Zelenovka, Antonovka, Novokaira, and Novaya Kakhovka (Kherson region), Krasnorechenskoye and Stakhanov (Lugansk People’s Republic), two Olkha projectiles in the area of the settlement of Korsunka, as well as three HARM anti-radiation missiles in the area of Novaya Kakhovka (Kherson region).

📊 In total, 332 airplanes and 172 helicopters, 2,470 unmanned aerial vehicles, 388 air defence missile systems, 6,482 tanks and other armoured combat vehicles, 885 combat vehicles equipped with MRLS, 3,564 field artillery cannons and mortars, as well as 7,152 units of special military equipment have been destroyed during the special military operation.

The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation continue the special military operation.

◽ In Kupyansk direction, an attack by a motorised infantry battalion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, reinforced with tanks, was foiled by actions of Russian troops and artillery fire in the direction of Kuzemovka of (Lugansk People’s Republic).

🚁 Furthermore, army aircraft attacks targeted two company tactical units of Ukraine’s Armed Forces as they advanced to assault in the regions of Berestovoye (Kharkov region), and Novoselovskoye (Lugansk People’s Republic).

◽During the day, in Kupyansk direction, the Armed Forces of Ukraine lost more than 160 Ukrainian personnel killed and injured, as well as two tanks, three infantry fighting vehicles, and two automobiles.

◽In Krasny Liman direction, an assault effort by two battalion tactical units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine of Ploshchanka and Chervonopopovka (Lugansk People’s Republic) was thwarted as a consequence of preparatory fire damage.

💥Over 100 Ukrainian personnel, three tanks, five armoured combat vehicles, one MT-LB vehicle, two pickup trucks, and two automobiles were neutralised by Russian army aviation attacks and artillery fire.

◽In South Donetsk direction, the enemy undertook two unsuccessful counterattacks in the direction of Novomikhailovka and Pavlovka (Donetsk People’s Republic) in an attempt to slow down Russian troops’ onslaught. The AFU troops were stopped and dispersed as a result of the fire damage. Approximately 90 Ukrainian servicemen, five armoured fighting vehicles, one MT-LB vehicle, and two pickup trucks were eliminated.

◽In Nikolayev–Krivoy Rog direction, over the past 24 hours, the Russian troops overpowered nine attempts of Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance groups to breach the rear zones of defence. More than 50 Ukrainian servicemen, seven armored fighting vehicles, and ten cars were destroyed.

💥 Operational-Tactical and Army Aviation, Missile Troops and Artillery struck four command posts of the Armed Forces of Ukraine close to Krasny Liman and Terny (Donetsk People’s Republic), Kruglyakovka and Cherneshchyna (Kharkov region), as well as 64 artillery units in firing positions, manpower, and military equipment in 192 areas.

💥 Three ammunition depots, as well as rocket and artillery weapons, were destroyed near Kushchovoye (Zoporozhye region), Nevskoye (Lugansk People’s Republic), Vysokopolye (Kherson region), and fuel storage for Armed Forces of Ukraine military equipment near Lychkovo (Dnepropetrovsk region).

💥 One radar of Ukrainian S-300 air defence system was destroyed near Pervomaiskoye (Nikolayev region). The Ukrainian Buk-M1 anti-aircraft missile system was destroyed near the town of Visunsk (Nikolayev region). A US-made AN/TPQ-64 counter-battery radar station was destroyed near Ivanovka (Kharkov region).

◽ Three artillery platoons of the Ukrainian Armed Forces were hit during the counter-battery battle in the territories of Antonovka (Donetsk People’s Republic), Chervonoye and Belyaevka (Kherson region).

✈️ Fighter Aviation of the Russian Aerospace Forces has shot down one Mi-24 of Ukrainian Air Force near Novovoskresenskoye (Kherson region).

💥 Air defence facilities have shot down 1 Su-25 airplane of Ukrainian Air Force near Ugledar (Donetsk People’s Republic).

◽ Furthermore, during the day, seven Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles were intercepted over the settlements of Novokrasnyanka and Glotovka (Lugansk People’s Republic), Novoselovka (Donetsk People’s Republic), Lotskino (Nikolayev region), Kachkarovka and Stepovoye (Kherson region).

◽ In addition, 17 projectiles of HIMARS and Olkha MLRS were intercepted in the Gruzsko-Lomovka (Donetsk People’s Republic), and Antonovka, Chernobayevka, Krynki, and Maslovka (Kherson region).

📊 In total, 332 airplanes and 171 helicopters, 2,465 unmanned aerial vehicles, 388 air defence missile systems, 6,448 tanks and other armoured combat vehicles, 884 combat vehicles equipped with MRLS, 3,563 field artillery cannons and mortars, as well as 7,127 units of special military equipment have been destroyed during the special military operation.
