Russia reports zero inflation in last week of December!
prices showed zero growth in the week of December 22 through 28, the Federal Statistics Service said Wednesday.
Rosstat said inflation in the preceding three weeks was 0.4% and 8.8% since the start of the year.
That compares favorably with last December’s inflation of 0.7% and the annual 13.3%.
Furthermore, gasoline retail prices fell 0.5% in the last week of the month.
Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Vladimir Putin hailed ‘record low inflation’ for the year.With that said: I will say that gasoline for a trip yesterday was 17 rubles a liter. That equates into (1 US gallons = 3.78541178 liters)64 to 65 rubles per gallon. That is about $2.15 per gallon.Now I use 80 octane in our Volga wagon and she runs like a dream.
