A survivor of six heart attacks and a brain tumor, a grumpy bear of a man, whom has declared Russia as his new and wonderful home. His wife is a true Russian Sweet Pea of a girl and she puts up with this bear of a guy and keeps him in line.
This video is of the eternal flame for the WW2 monument…
All was good until I decided to kiss the ground and that stopped my desire to take pictures and videos…
So two days later, I am still hurting and grumbling about how life is unfair! 😉
Right now and for a few more days I will not take pictures. I cannot raise my right arm at all and afraid I will drop my phone. Knowing me, yes I will drop it…
Svetochka and I are getting the last few hundred masks that we have been stocking today (We will have around 500 masks). We are trying to get enough for her whole family and us of course. Then Geneva just put out a bulletin…
Geneva: World Health Organization officials called on medical supply manufacturers to “urgently increase production” to meet the global demand that is needed to respond to the COVID-19 outbreak rapidly spreading across the world.
“Supplies are rapidly depleting. WHO estimates that, each month, 89 million medical masks will be required for the COVID-19 response, 76 million examination gloves and 1.6 million goggles,” Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, director-general of WHO, said separately at a news conference at the organization’s Geneva headquarters. He said manufacturers need to increase personal protective gear supplies by 40%…
Again I am trying to get and stay ahead of what is happening…
I stocked the last food items this morning, we are also getting rubber gloves and other tidbits…
It does not matter if this is all for naught!
What matters is when the only way you will be able to travel and go to the store is to have a mask on, is what matters….like it or not, things are coming apart and I will error on the abundance side. Even though a mask is basically unable to stop a virus, that matters not when you are curtailed and home bound without one on your face. It is coming…
Time to get serious….this is more than meets the eye. What is happening is changing our world under duress and it will be never the same after it is all over…
Yesterday, I fell on the ice and tore my right shoulder rotator cuff. I was 6 kilometers from home in the woods and the little chickadees and squirrels heard some nice four letter English words as I got up and checked to see if I could still move at all. Ouch that hurt…
Getting old means that things tear easier and that I found out. Now I am still trying to get things done, like posting articles and gather supplies for issues and I really have to change the way I do things. Having one arm basically out of commission is a bad thing…much less I am right handed and it is my right arm…
What lift my arm above my head?
Not going to happen for a tiny bit, unless I want tears in my eyes and the chickadees to run and hide…
Why does a government even have a right to interfere in everyday products, living, goals, dreams and desires of life?
Political bias, hate, money worship and simply plain scared of the future, what is happening in the world over simple things like Google/Android is demonstrably true and in our face. Our system is so stinking broken we need to just take it out behind the Ole Barn and shoot it. Not once, not twice, not three times, but so many times if, if it is a Zombie Political system; It stays dead…
Tomorrow or the next day I will write a post about what applications you can use to replace Google and how simple it is to live without Google…
My Huawei Mate 30 does not have any and I mean any Google apps…
There is nothing that I cannot do better than if I had Google G-Apps and all the Google Framework installed…
Now the internet is exploding with financial doom and gloom and we will all die articles. These articles are building slowly and I suspect the crescendo will be something else to see…
With the outbreak of the novel coronavirus, the global economy is facing its greatest threat since the financial crisis, according to the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development’s interim economic outlook, released Monday. “The virus risks giving a further blow to a global economy that was already weakened by trade and political tensions,” Laurence Boone, the OECD’s chief economist, said while presenting the findings during a teleconference Monday.
China has started to get the virus under control and we find the west has now started to beat the virus will destroy the world drums. Seems to me that “beating the drums” over something in the western world is an illness in itself and the west does it a bunch…
It is starting to look like the world is going to grab the Coronavirus and try to use it as the reason that the world economy has to crash and only that reason…
Of course being in debt up to our yin yang and owing everyone everywhere so much money that paying it back would take 10 million years….has nothing to do with the world finances? Right?
Good quote: Debt, we’ve learned, is the match that lights the fire of every crisis. Every crisis has its own set of villains – pick your favorite: bankers, regulators, central bankers, politicians, overzealous consumers, credit rating agencies – but all require one similar ingredient to create a true crisis: too much leverage. – Andrew Ross Sorkin
It has been fun spending money we never had and running the printing presses 24/7/365…
Thus, I ask myself, “Self, what does the “Power too Be’s” have in mind after they destroy our system as we use it now?”
It is a job I take seriously: Get ready and do not think it is a joke. You can joke about the extra food later…
We are getting regular face masks and Sveta and I have bought several of these high grade masks, with eye protection. We also just had shipped replacement filters for these heavy masks. Not worth trying to take things lightly when a little precaution could save us in the end…
I just finished stocking staples for about two months of eating if necessary. Magnet grocery store was packed and everyone was grabbing eggs, noodles and cereals. I joined them and sneaked my way through the line and got out unscathed and all my body parts intact… 😉
Still have to grab some real chocolate bars for Sveta, but I am done. Now just everyday buying will commence again. Meats, fruits and veggies. The perishables are going to be a daily buying item, due to short life span of the items. If the SHTF, I will stock on things like apples, bread and such…
I decided to stock a couple of bags of rice. Good emergency food…
Better get going, it will hit you where you are at…
WtR
PS: Wow that happened fast in America…
Is it time to start the “28 days later” theme song?
Sveta was able to walk with me to Globus and we ate breakfast together and then I took her to the train station. It was nice to have her along. She loves to walk with me and since she was not in a hurry this morning to get to work fast….we could walk together…
Kinda a reverse walk pattern for me…
Sveta has two years left till she retires and then she will be able to walk all the time with me, for our health. I know she is looking forward to getting those two years done…
She works for the Gazprom bank system and is their boss of the server systems they have at two of their biggest branches…
OAO Gazprom has become the third largest company in the world by market capitalization. Gazprom stock gained 5.34 percent on the MICEX on May 8, raising the monopoly’s market value to $348 billion and knocking the Chinese cellular communications operator China Mobile, worth $341 billion, out of third place in the world ranking. According to Reuters, the American company ExxonMobil occupies first place on that list at $476 billion, and Petrochina is in second place with $447 billion.
I am not sure that they will be very happy when she has to retire. They can try to extend and try to keep her on for several years more (If she agrees!), but I know she is ready to get on with life. She has been working for Gazprom for a very longtime…
With her and my retirement, we can live very comfortable in Russia and or many places around the world. It is something we are talking about. A place like Ajman in the middle east is a serious nice place to live and enjoy good weather and good people…
NATO had held urgent talks on the crisis on Friday after Turkey requested a rare emergency meeting of members under article 4 of the alliance’s governing treaty, on the grounds that its security was under threat.
Turkey wanted Syria beat up, because Turkey invaded Syria and provoked Syria to fight back, to protect her (Syrian) home land!
You can’t make this stuff up…
Turkey attacked Syria!
Syria fights back against an invader (Turkey)!
Turkey gets a black eye!
Cries to NATO that Turkey is under a threat!
Wait: This is all while there are “no” Syrian forces in Turkey, yet Turkey has forces illegally “in” Syria…
Therefore, we are expected to believe that Syria is the threat?
You can’t make this stuff up…
Then as I watch the Russian News, it is like, “NATO? Turkey? Syria! Are you guys sicko – psycho?”
