Starting to wrap it up for the summer…

Svetochka is taking pictures, as she is the best between her and I. She has patience, where as I don’t. She has little fingers, I don’t. She is calm and collected, I am not. 😉

I am a bear and my sweetpea is my compliment. It is always nice when she comes around to temper me and my actions…

We will leave for Moscow this weekend and I still have things to do, yet what has been accomplished has be almost a miracle at times…

I spent two weeks with a very bad infection, prostatitis, I ended up having to take NISE and that messes me up. It did help a whole bunch with peeing though and I struggled through it all. Sveta came with antibiotics and in two days it was kicked out and good. I will take the antibiotics for a month, the prostate is very hard to get under control and it takes an extended antibiotic regimen…

We have plans for next year to have Earnest the Grand Monkey Boy as a guest. It may not happen, but he needs to spend a month with the bear to get a different outlook on life and get some hands on real world…

We will see and at the same time we are trying to get Sveta’s mom to come down and next year we hope that both her and Earnest will come to stay…

I got the place (both places) ready and cross your fingers…

We are getting ready to spend a week in Armenia. We can’t wait and then come closer to winter it will be time to get to the Red Sea and soak up the sunshine and saltwater. Maybe two weeks at the Read Sea in Egypt?

Russians have the most supercalifragilisticexpialidocious tour packages to so many places around the world. Just a few hundred dollars takes a person for a week in fantastic places…

Time to go. I have much to do and the least of all is cook breakfast for my sweetpea…

Later today, we will grill a huge carp and and and Yummy!

Bats are kinda cute and useful….BUT!

So Sveta and I installed the new latches on the swinging shutters I built and we left them open last night to discourage our little flying mice (bats) to roost elsewhere…

Then we have to figure out how to keep them from this spot?

Maybe I will build a Bat House for them…

WtR

PS: I love sitting at night and watch the bats flit around and eating those nasty mosquitoes. As a kid we would spin paper plates into the air at night and the bats would dive for the plates…

But the USA created the WTO…

President Donald Trump has threatened to withdraw the US from the World Trade Organization (WTO), claiming it treats his country unfairly. “If they don’t shape up, I would withdraw from the WTO,” Mr Trump said in an interview with Bloomberg News. The WTO was established to provide rules for global trade and resolve disputes between countries. Mr Trump says the body too often rules against the US, although he concedes it has won some recent judgments. He claimed on Fox News earlier this year that

Therefore, since the WTO is a fruit of the capitalist ideology, actually fertilized and grown from the USA itself. Thus, President Donald John Trump is now criticizing a creation of his own perfect great country…

Coffee and just thinking (singing) in TRV…

She and Me

My wife and I live all alone,
In a little log hut, we called our own…
She loves tea, and I loves coffee…
I tell you what, life is fun in the bothy…

Ha ha ha, you and me, little brown coffee. Don”t I love thee…

I know my brain is messed up at times and today I am singing this version of Little Brown Jug song…

8 degrees this morning and my fingers are stiff and cold, But that is all good. Running the computer off of my Android phone. That shared connection stuff is wonderful and data runs at almost 5 megs a second way out here in the boonies…

I guess I could talk about how stupid the USA is, But no, I will not talk about more sanctions on Russia, accusing China of currency manipulation (what the US does daily), blockading Venezuela out of shear stupidity, nor about ten million other things that the US is doing to isolate itself from the rest of the world. You see my world is not the US and I thank God for that everyday…

People in the USA seem to not realize and or understand that most of the world is starting to dance to a whole different tune. I watch as the wind blows in a different direction…

It is definitely interesting to watch the power struggle happening all over the world. It is a power struggle that did not need to happen. The world is really big enough for us all and actually many more to boot…

I have no idea how it will all end up. I only hope that World War 3 is not on the agenda. I know it is not on this side of the world. At least as in far as being offensive type war. Therefore, China and Russia and Iran are working 24/7 getting defense weaponry in full swing…

Do not let that lull you, Russia can retaliate and the USA will glow like a light bulb from the radiation…

Sobering thought: We all die, but I promise you that Russia and China will not just sit around and smile about being attacked by the USA and everyday it is looking worse on the war front. People need to express the fact that they really want to live radiation free…

We have some crazy ass people running the show in America and most of the world for that matter…

The track record of the USA is to attack and while people in the USA (and Britain is included), mostly all walk around like life is perfect….it is far from perfect and far from ideal…

But money and material items rule the roost in many peoples minds…

I am sitting at Nikolai’s home typing this article. I have accomplished 80% of what I needed to do and in the next few weeks, I will try to accomplish the other 29%…

But I am getting tired and winter is almost here….seriously, fall is in full swing and I swear Old Man Winter was stretching his arms and legs the other day getting ready to get out of bed…

It is almost plum picking time…

We have yellow plums, red plums and deep purple plums. I am going to make plum jam for the family this year. Going to go plum crazy…

I found the old entrance cable to the home….it was in perfect shape, just needed to be replaced for standards of the electric company. I installed this from the work shed to the home. It had already installed on one side the original two socket power plugins for the home. It reminded me of homes when I was little, one light bulb and one plug in, at one spot in the house…

Nothing fancy and nothing wrong with it. You had to be creative at times and really you were thankful to have power at all. It was a very wonderful addition to the home and life became much better with a place to plug in the radio. Strange huh? Not for me…

I now have light inside the shed and I also put a outdoor light on the front of the shed. Now the front yard lights up at night. This was one project that Nikolai was working on. I got it done. Plus twenty others so far…

I still need to install a light out back. My thoughts on that are to put a pole light, at the barn area. It is really dark out there. I do not like lights by the doors, they attract a million bugs and mosquitoes are among those little devils. bad enough to bring all the moths around…

Yesterday was a bad day for me. Lots of pain and the weather was terrible. Today, I feel pretty good and will rest. I may go to the Fish Village and get a few supplies, yet maybe not. Maybe tomorrow is good enough?

Sveta and I are thinking about Armenia…

Russia has some fantastic deals for traveling to Armenia, very cheap and includes flight, hotel and food…

Very cheap…

Never been to Armenia…

Bread – хлеб (khleb)

Exactly what the loaf of black bread looks like…

I bought four loaves of bread for Vova in TRV….black bread was 15 rubles (23 cents) a loaf. White was 18 rubles (28 cents) a loaf…

These are 500 gram loafs of bread. That is a 1.10231 pound loaf of bread…

Not bad, not too bad…

Elimination of Intermediate-Range and Shorter-Range Missiles

Statement by the President of Russia on the unilateral withdrawal of the United States from the Treaty on the Elimination of Intermediate-Range and Shorter-Range Missiles

2019-08-05 15:00:00

On February 1, 2019, the United States of America launched a procedure to withdraw from the Treaty on the Elimination of Intermediate-Range and Shorter-Range Missiles. The six-month period set forth in the Treaty’s withdrawal clause has expired. When one of the parties withdraws from the Treaty, it ceases to have effect automatically. Therefore, as of August 2, 2019 the INF Treaty no longer exists. Our US colleagues sent it to the archives, making it a thing of the past.

It is with regret that Russia states that the unilateral withdrawal by the United States from the Treaty on the Elimination of Intermediate-Range and Shorter-Range Missiles under a far-fetched pretext and the dismantlement of one of the last fundamental arms control treaties creates major complications for world affairs and brings about serious risks for everyone. Let me emphasise that all the responsibility for what has happened rests with the United States. Instead of engaging in a meaningful discussion on international security matters, the United States opted for simply undercutting many years of efforts to reduce the probability of a large-scale armed conflict, including the use of nuclear weapons.

Russia cannot ignore the current state of affairs or satisfy itself with hollow peace-loving declarations made by its American colleagues or their allies.

In this context, considering the current situation, I instruct the Defence Ministry, the Foreign Ministry and the Foreign Intelligence Service to monitor in the most thorough manner future steps taken by the United States to develop, produce and deploy intermediate-range and medium-range missiles.

If Russia obtains reliable information whereby the United States completes the development of these systems and starts to produce them, Russia will have no option other than to engage in a full-scale effort to develop similar missiles. Of course, this will take time. Until the Russian army deploys these weapons, Russia will reliably offset the threats related to the withdrawal by the United States from the Treaty on the Elimination of Intermediate-Range and Shorter-Range Missiles by relying on the means that we already have: the X-101 and the Kinzhal air-launched missiles, the Kalibr sea-launched missile, as well as future weapons systems, including Tsirkon-class hypersonic systems. At the same time, Russia maintains the unilateral commitments it has assumed, and will act only when it has to respond. This applies to developing, producing and deploying land-based intermediate-range and shorter-range missiles. We will not deploy them in any given region until US-made intermediate-range and shorter-range missiles are deployed there.

Despite the recent developments, Russia still hopes that common sense prevails, and that our US colleagues and their allies have a sense of responsibility toward their people and the entire international community. It is our belief that the actions taken by the United States that brought about the dismantlement of the Treaty on the Elimination of Intermediate-Range and Shorter-Range Missiles will inevitably devalue and shatter the foundations of the global security architecture, including the Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty and the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons.

This scenario could signal a new start for an unfettered arms race. In order to avoid chaos with no rules, restrictions or laws, we need to once more weigh up all the dangerous consequences and launch a serious and meaningful dialogue free from any ambiguity.

Russia considers that it is necessary to revive without delay meaningful talks on ensuring strategic stability and security. We are ready to engage in these efforts.

Nikolai’s home became home…

First coffee made this morning…

No place like home…

Tiny Russian Village

WtR

I built a Tiny Russian Village Kitchen (TRV)

Could spend many hours talking over politics, life and friendship at a place like this…

Yesterday was a big day…

I had thought long and hard about changing things around. I realized that things had to finally become ours & well, I built a kitchen in Nikolai’s home…

I still have to get a hot water tank, a stove installed and a few final touches done, but it is done. Took me all day and lots of work…

You will find that it is very authentic Russian. Even down to the stools at the table and the look of slanted when even everything is leveled. The floor of the room is slanted badly….typical for addition rooms on a village home. This caused me issues to say the least and I had to be religious with the level to make sure everything was actually level to the world…

Even the kitchen table is two inches propped up on the window side to make it level. Many of these old porches turned to rooms are slanted intentionally to drain water fast. There is at least a three inch drop from right to left in the picture. It is all solid, just intentionally made that way….set a ball on the floor and it quickly rolls to the left against the window walled side…

This is what I started with and above is what I ended up with…

Today it will rain. I will lay out the plans for building a wall inside. I am going to block off half of the back room and make a storage area out of the back half and a mudroom out of the part that the backdoor enters. As with the kitchen, I will layout what I desire and try to envision what I want. Then I will build that wall. Maybe think today, move supplies and start tomorrow. It all counts on what I see, feel and desire…

I am trying to understand the design, partaking to trying to make a false wall with a door, but the door is not very visible to the wandering eye, yet usable on a daily basis…

I also have to think about moving a large refrigerator to mom’s home. By myself it will be a job, I no longer can just grab the thing and carry it like I could when younger. I found a large dolly and I think it will do the job. I just have to get it out of the home and across bumpy ground to mom’s home…

The refrigerator above is the one of four we have that will stay in Nikolai’s home. It works good….the one I will move is even better and really works good. Mom comes first…

Therefore, I will do a bunch of thinking and move wood supplies between homes today and the as we always say in Russia, “Zavtra” завтра- tomorrow….is another day and I will see if that day is the day I build a wall…

By the way, Have a nice day… (Кстати, хорошего дня.)

The purpose of Western Think Tanks and self-professed experts…

The impetus of all these so called western self-professed experts and western think tanks is of course to indoctrinate people to prejudge with disgust anything Russia and Russian to make sure Russia never ascends as an corrival to the West and the western way of life. To be in equality with the west is a sin in western eyes. Just look at what is happening with China right now…

It is so easy to see (If you open your eyes.) through their (western powers) real scheme, but most western people have lost the convergence with education and lack the worldly experience to do so and most likely most others simply don’t give a hoot about anything but where their next shiny trinket comes from…

This is predominant on all levels of the Western Empire…

Maybe the west should embrace toga parties and mass orgies….it worked so well for the Roman Empire!

McDonald’s comparison: Russia’s are cleaner, faster than America’s – Business Insider

I can vouch for this…

But upon biting into it, I was pleasantly surprised to find that it was hot, flavorful, and more fresh-tasting than a typical Big Mac. At McDonald’s locations in the US, I enjoy the fries, but I usually find the burgers to be a bit tasteless. The Russian Big Mac seemed to have the same ingredients as its American counterpart— two beef patties, American cheese, lettuce, onions, pickles, and the signature Big Mac sauce — but it just tasted better.
