America Finally Has its Mussolini and Military Parade…

by John Stanton

Democracy is talking itself to death. The people do not know what they want; they do not know what is best for them. There is too much foolishness, too much lost motion. I have stopped the talk and the nonsense. I am a man of action. Democracy is beautiful in theory; in practice it is a fallacy. You in America will see that someday. Fascist education is moral, physical, social, and military: it aims to create a complete and harmoniously developed human, a fascist one according to our views.” Benito Mussolini

Back in January 2017, I wrote that President Donald Trump should not be too hastily compared to Benito Mussolini, the fascist dictator of Italy who would come to an ignominious end. Well, I was dead wrong about that. America’s reasonable facsimile for Mussolini is Donald Trump. His mannerisms, posture and facial expressions, all call to mind the Italian dictator. Trump’s call for a military parade, being dutifully carried out by the Pentagon, closes the case for Trump-as-Mussolini.

You think that’s too harsh. Take a look at the clips from Mussolini and two of his fabulous, Make Italy Great Again military parades from the 20th Century.

Trump does not give a damn about celebrating members of US Armed Forces who engage in combat operations on a daily basis or the families that wait, and hope, that their son, daughter, wife or husband return in . The US military is a toy as far as Trump is concerned. He wants to one-up military parades—conducted based on weak political and conventional capabilities–the world sees yearly from Russia, China and North Korea to suit his own pathological ego. “Mine’s bigger than yours,” is what Trump is all about. Trump’s gaudiness is revolting.

Here’s a guy who used deferments and some sort of foot ailment diagnosis to avoid service in Vietnam, like one of his predecessors, Bill Clinton. They both feel compelled to show off their military challenge coin collection, perhaps to compensate for the fact that they were draft dodgers. Trump’s collection sits on the table behind his desk. Clinton had his depicted in his Presidential Portrait.

How Much?

So how much cash is the Pentagon going to spend on this project? Fuel costs for the inevitable Army, Marine and Air Force aircraft flyover and tactical wheeled vehicles will be pricey. Could we not put those funds to better use in Afghanistan? Is Trump going to have Minuteman III or Trident D-5 missiles on display? Or how about showing off the Army’s Army High Energy Laser Tactical Test Truck or the Polaris MRZR military all-terrain vehicle with a tethered drone during the show?

You know the F-35’s will show up overhead along with unmanned aerial vehicles of the type used for Intelligence, Reconnaissance and Surveillance.

Will White House proconsuls Chief of Staff John Kelly (USMC, Ret.)and LTG HR McMaster be standing in a modified Humvee waving and saluting to the citizens, and cameras, that line the streets. The same John Kelly who suggested that the Northern and Southern states could have compromised to avoid a Civil War to end secession and slavery?

I’m a pro-military person. I agree that the Nuclear Triad should be upgraded. The Nuclear Posture Review was a great read. I like the F-35 and the next generation Columbia-class submarines and B-21’s that will be fielded when I’m ashes in an urn. I think Secretary of Defense Jim Mattis is an exceptional military and historical mind.

Too Far for Me

Trump’s ongoing deification of the military, and his worship of those in and out of uniform, lifts the practice to a new and unnerving level raising concerns about the durability of civilian control of the military or even the American Republic. Consider the view of Major Danny Sjursenis, a U.S. Army strategist and former history instructor at West Point who did tours with reconnaissance units in Iraq and Afghanistan.

It’s worrisome when president after president defers to and all too often hides behind the supposed wisdom of active and retired three- and four-star flag officers. Don’t get me wrong, some of these guys can be impressive. No one is perfect, but former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs General Martin Dempsey was a gem with genuine scholarly and combat bona fides. But consider him and a few others the exceptions that prove the rule. Which is why civilian control of the military, and of the policymaking process that goes with military action, is not just a constitutional imperative but desirable for thoroughly practical reasons. Which, in turn, is why the makeup of the current administration ― with an unprecedented number of generals in key positions ― raises some serious questions. And yet the problem is so much bigger than that. Somehow ― and this should be truly unnerving ― Americans have gotten to a place where, it seems, they trust only soldiers.

Is Trump’s parade going to focus on the defeat of the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria? But wait, we only worked “by, with and through” the Iraqi’s and Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) as they blasted the Islamic State. Will we see Iraqi and SDF personnel marching in the militaristic celebration? I do expect we will see an A-29 Super Tucano with an announcer saying over the loud speakers, “Here is the A-29 flown by a pilot from the Afghanistan Air Force who has many combat missions under his belt.”

Trump’s military extravaganza will have to include high school marching bands and perhaps the Boy Scouts. Of course military veterans from prior conflicts will have to be paraded around. Who will provide the musical entertainment? And don’t forget the Defense Industrial Base contractors will want to be front and center with the uniformed military personnel. A military parade is not possible without Lockheed Martin, Boeing, Northrop Grumman, BAE Systems or General Dynamics. And movie or television personalities will have to be recruited to support the event.

Then there is the matter of the costs needed to secure the event. The military parade will be designated a National Security Special Event, the same as America’s Super Bowl and the Oscars. That means Washington, DC will not only be flooded with military personnel but they will need to be protected by Washington, DC and regional police forces, elements of the Department of Homeland Security, the FBI, and scores of other protective services ranging from the Secret Service to those who monitor for Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear weapons.

Oh, the irony. The mighty military has to be protected by civilians during its parade.

But in a country, where the perpetual menacings of danger oblige the government to be always prepared to repel it, her armies must be numerous enough for instant defence. The continual necessity for his services enhances the importance of the soldier, and proportionably degrades the condition of the citizen. The military state becomes elevated above the civil. The inhabitants of territories often the theatre of war, are unavoidably subjected to frequent infringements on their rights, which serve to weaken their sense of those rights; and by degrees, the people are brought to consider the soldiery not only as their protectors, but as their superiors.” Alexander Hamilton, Federalist Papers, 8.

Are you no longer of Mankind? We are all Homo Sapiens in the end…

I am thinking…

Homo “Sapiens” is an amusing misnomer if at any time there was one…

Homo is our Genus Homo Sapiens is our Species. Presently, the Homo Sapiens are partitioned into two species; the Neanderthals and the Homo Sapiens Sapiens?

Homo Sapiens Sapiens is our Sub Species – Modern people are Homo Sapiens Sapiens…. Homo Sapiens is our species…

On the off chance that you recommend to the hypothesis that Humans are isolated into subspecies, similar to Homo Sapiens Neanderthalis and Homo Sapiens Idaltu, at that point “Homo Sapiens” isn’t a mistaken proclamation. You could likewise order both of these, alongside Homo Sapiens Sapiens, as Homo Sapiens…

So all Homo Sapiens Sapiens would be Homo Sapiens, however not all Homo Sapiens would be Homo Sapiens Sapiens. Today, be that as it may, we’re all similar species….every damn last one of us…

Lets just say Homo Sapien instead of trying to analyze Homo Sapiens Sapiens… Homo sapiens sapiens – a subspecies of Homo sapiens; includes all modern races. Everywhere on earth, but we are simple Homo Sapiens…

Be that as it may, it is significant there is significant question over the presence of subspecies inside the Homo Sapien species, and numerous charged subspecies are all the more regularly named their own particular separate life form and not similar species. Or maybe, they are simply in similar variety. For example, a great many people distinguish Neanderthals by Homo Neanderthalis…

Homo Sapiens is not any more a term being used. It was initially beget to recognize individuals from our species when around 40,000 years prior, when we saw a move in social idiosyncrasies. What happened 40,000 years prior was Homo Sapiens interbred with Neanderthals….yes that caveman dragging grandma off to his home is grandpa…

Over the mediating time more information has brought about 2 things: 1) Neanderthals are presently named a different animal groups — Homo Neanderthal. Hence there is never again any requirement for a “subspecies” order of Homo Sapiens. 2) taxonomists started to desert the utilization of the grouping “subspecies”

Homo Sapiens is the subspecies to which every single living human have a place. The Neanderthal individuals are once in a while thought about another subspecies, Homo Sapiens Neanderthalensis, and there is another, Homo Sapiens Idaltu, thought to be the prompt progenitor of H. s. sapiens.

There is a refinement. Homo is our Genus Homo Sapiens is our Species Homo Sapiens Sapiens is our Sub Species Modern people are Homo Sapiens Sapiens, however there is a wiped out Homo Sapien called Homo Sapiens Idaltu. Homo Sapiens Sapiens are the main surviving sub types of Homo Sapiens. On the human development graph we are Homo Sapiens. Not that you asked, but rather here’s the way we separate: Domani: Eukaryota Kingdom: Animalia Phylum: Chordata Subphylum: Vertebrata Class: Mammalia Subclass: Theria Order: Primates Superfamily: Hominoidea Family: Haminidae Subfamily: Homininae Tribe: Hominini Subtribe: Hominina Genus: Homo Species: Homo Sapiens Subspecies: Homo Sapiens (Sometimes Neanderthals are marked as Homo Sapiens Neanderthalensis however they are additionally named as a different animal varieties; Homo Neanderthalensis)

We are all “Mankind” but you better call us “Peoplekind” and not get in trouble…maybe saying “Womankind” would keep you out of hot water?

Somewhere in our mess of a linage, we are all related and maybe that is the issue. Family likes to fight….just do not knock a woman over the head and drag her to your cave, no matter how she effects you. The “Keystone Cops” will hunt you down…

Then again…that is what succeeded to keep us on top and become the dominant species on earth. Dragging off your mate to your home…

Hmm…

Oh and yes, I am a biology major….I just hope I got it all correct. Still gets confusing at times….religiously, politically, genetically and socially…

Lions and tigers and bears! Oh My…

I have a front row seat…

I am thinking…

Many years ago I stepped out of America:

I had been crushed by a system that did not want me. It did not want my thinking, my questions and my search for knowledge. It wanted me silenced and tried to silence me in many ways. This silencing continued even after I left America. WtR has been brutally threatened and beaten to death over the years…. Why?

Because much of what I have to say, comes true:

I found someone who accepts me as I am and she happened to live in Russia. I found myself faced with going to Russia (that terrible evil place,) and or spending the rest of my years in America silent and hoping that no more bricks and no more houses would be burned…. Yes I have had homes burned to silence and threaten me…

In my life I have been beaten by Feds, bricks thrown through my windows, guns put against my head and yet I still tell things how I see them. Thank God, Russia does not chase me around and do the same as I dealt within America…

No conspiracy, a gun against the back of your head is reality and it is cold, a deep cold that you will feel into your soul. My family will never understand why I walked away when I did. They just do not see that America is an issue. They just say, “Leave all alone and no one will bother you!”

I left them alone and it is more for protection than anything else…

It is called, “The head in the sand,” syndrome….in Russia they do not have to keep their heads in the sand. Russia really is free. Yes it really is compared to America…

I talk about how Russia is 50 years behind America in its social destruction. But I also talk about how Russia is slowly working the same path as America has gone. It is inevitable I am afraid. Svetochka is amazed at how I talk about stuff happening here in Russia and or what will happen and it does. From seatbelt laws, mandatory to little rules and regulations that will implemented. they are happening, slowly, but they happen in Russia…

I talk about it and then it happens. Svetochka sometimes wishes I would not say anything, for it always happens….like someone is listening to me talk all the time… 😉 It is called, deja vu…

The difference to me is:

I will not be alive when Russia becomes what America is now, 50 years from now. I will be way and long gone. The world will have changed too much and I don’t care to see it anyway. For now, Russia is the olden ways and thank god, I have found such a home that accepts me…

I know Russia will still be 50 years behind the west and that will still make Russia a better place. Maybe, just maybe, Russia will stop the inevitable slide to rune and learn from what the west has become. I hope China and Russia learn, the world needs it. It is far from all good, but….what Russia and China are is a far cry better than the materialistic, immoral and extirpating western society has become…

I just tell what I see, feel and experience:

This blog has way over 6000 posts. Much junk to be honest. Much has been me growing in how I write and what I write about. I change how I write, when in the Tint Russian Village, I write more about everyday life as a simple villager. In Moscow, I write about world issues and world problems. All posts have a place in my life and all posts are very important. I write to express how I feel and what I see…

I live in a whole different world than many of my readers. At 2000 readers a day, I don’t talk about what you want to hear. I talk about what I want to tell you about what bothers me. Today, I expressed about Ukraine. I am sick and saddened at what America has done to Ukraine. Ukraine was a my home away from home and I no longer have that home to go to. Ukraine has literally been destroyed and to travel Ukraine is taking your life for a grain of salt. I am one who will take chances, but Ukraine has evolved to a situation that is not worth the time to travel. Ukraine and or Kiev to be more exact is/has become a cesspool…

Svetochka and I have been all over:

I am thankful that Sveta and I were able to travel (eg. Ukraine by car.) Twice we have driven all over Ukraine. Many times her an I have traveled many many kilometers and seen the sights of several countries. I have flown to many more and even driven all over Israel several times. We traveled to Ukraine back when Russians could travel Ukraine and have a good time. When I talk about what is happening in this part of the world, I talk from experience, not sitting in an ivory tower and making stuff up….as 99% of what you read from the west is nothing but made up trash to feed the western mindset and agenda…

I have a front row seat:

I sit and watch with my microwave popcorn. I watch the geopolitics, the games, the lies and the collapse of the west. I am far from understanding it all and much of what I write is, “Why?”

I see what is happening and yet I am not capable of stopping it and I am not capable of thinking as the ones driving it think….I am glad I do not think that way…

Today I ask why? Why cannot Ukraine be the safe and wonderful place I use to spend many days enjoying?

America? Could you answer why?

In 2010 I wrote about how Ukraine had finally started to get out of the doldrums…

We are a bad bad group of people and allowing this to continue as we hide in our fantasy world is not going to make it go away. We Americans started it, yes you did not try to stop it, and we own the issue…

“government by the people for the people” What happened to that?

In 2010 I wrote about how Ukraine had finally started to get out of the doldrums…

The article was from someone (me) who had Ukraine as a second home. I had spent many days and even years total of time in Ukraine. I had written about how Ukraine people had become sad and lethargic and life became hell itself. Then Viktor Yanukovych won the presidential election and things started to turn around…

It went from this article…

From Russia: Ukraine Has Changed!

and quickly went to this article. All in the same year…

Kiev, Ukraine – Depression is Leaving…

Viktor Yanukovych tried and tried to make Ukraine better, maybe not perfect, but after what they had gone through years and years before him. He was making inroads to a better Ukraine…

Then the Western Empire stepped in and destroyed what was again a thriving economy and people were getting happy there. This was all set back by money used by the west to import thugs to disrupt the flow of life and we all should know what happened then. It was cookies for thugs and nothing for everyone else…

America, doing what it does best. Destroying countries…

Ukraine one of the most ignored but worst situations we have allowed to continue…

Just a picture day… Moscow

Svetochka and I make all the delights that you can buy from all the stores. It actually in the case of the pigs in the blankets is cheaper to just buy them from the local kiosk. But….I like to know that there is quality in what we eat…

You never know what others use as food items in this world. When we make pizza, we put the cheese we like, the mushrooms we like and the sauce we like. Then bake it just how we like….with the oven we have, life is perfectly compared to a “bakery ala freshness”…

Papa Johns (yes we have Papa Johns pizza,) just does not hold a candle to what you can make and you can make pizza so much cheaper at home…

Moscow is snowed under….just look at the images above. Enough said…

Poor trees are uprooted everywhere. Limbs are snapped all around. Poor trees…then to add insult to injury it hit -20c below this morning…

Oh I love it!

“The largest Ukrainian machine-building enterprise lost the overwhelming majority of its workers after the conflict in Donbass began.

“Talked about this on the news channel NewsOne, Verkhovna Rada deputy Yevgeny Murayev said, the correspondent of “Political Navigator” reports.

I spoke with the Deputy Director of Azovmash. He said, “A large enterprise, once it was working 15 thousand people. I now about a thousand work here.”

I ask: “Where is everyone else?”

He said to me: “Eugene, you will not believe it – they took buses and trucks to the Russian Federation for all wagon-building plants.” then said “Whole families, whole workshops left with all the people. Because they were given apartments, they were given a “normal salary, no one from Russia ran after them with a grenade launcher in a mask, they got work and a predictable future,” Murayev said.

Hmm….something to think about…

The last words of the pilot of the Russian Air Force, Roman Filippov: “This is for our guys!”

As previously reported in Russian news by “Russkaya Vesna”, the militants released video of the latest fighters and killed himself with a hand grenade. The of the Russian pilot Su-25, which on Saturday, February 3, was shot down by terrorists in the Syrian province of Idlib.

The video is available, maybe…at link below… VK is particular about who sees videos…

Recall that the pilot catapulted from the burning “air craft” and was able to land successfully, despite the firing on it from the ground with firearms.

Major Roman Filipov managed to transfer his coordinates to the airbase Khemeymim, after that he shot back at the approaching jihadists with his automatic pistol Stechkin (APS), but was wounded, the terrorists surrounded him, and he decided to blow up a hand grenade so as not to be captured by the enemy.

The last words of the pilot of the Russian Air Force, Roman Filippov: “This is for our guys!”

His hand firearm was used and half empty and he fought back. Then went out his way…
