Coffee thoughts and snow snow snow…

I am thinking…

Yesterday was a rough day:

Boza had issues and I felt like someone beat me with a two by four and kept beating me just for fun all day. Today though, both Boza and I are doing better. The weather has a bunch to do with how Boza and I are doing and it has been snowing and snowing. Getting deep out there in the arctic wonderland…

Want to talk about Linux:

We have found that there is nothing that we need Windows OS for. Now granted we are not big game players and thus, we have no games to worry about to make work and that seems to be the issue that most people have. Therefore, when I talk about no problems, I talk about no issues with normal usable software. Such as Microsoft Word, Adobe and many other Windows programs. I even have installed Microsoft Office and find it very usable if needed. But….not needed for there are many programs that do the same job and even better…

Everyday we work with Linux Mint and it keeps itself updated. The updates do not take but a few minutes and they keep everything running smoothly. I reboot about once a week just to start a fresh version of the OS and clear any issues up. I did find that sometimes the Firefox browser needs to be refreshed and keep it from jamming up…

Linux Mint: https://linuxmint.com/

Try it and you will like it. It is very stable and has a graphical front end that makes using Linux a breeze. The learning curve is small and you will find it is adaptable to almost anything you use for a Windows interface. Maybe tablets and phones are not usable and truly Linux Mint does not care to become usable on those items…

Any drive used by Windows, will be usable by Linux Mint. This makes it a great dual boot OS and will save your data as you struggle with Windows OS. Svetochka has adapted wonderfully to Linux and I breath a sigh of relief, for that has always been my drawback to deal with. Windows with all its issues, is still easier for non-Linux users to deal with. Linux has terminology that scares Windows users and a word like compiling makes for jitters to many…

It really is time for people to take back control of there lives and something simple and easy to do is to get rid of Windows OS off your current computer. People need to help themselves before they get help in a better life. Linux gives control of what you do on your computer and phoning home a hundred times a day to spy on you is something that you need to deal with. Windows OS is history and we need to send it to the dustbin…

Russia has their own OS right now…

Russia Developing A Russian National Operating System (RNOS)…

They have accomplished this feat and it is based on Linux. I really like the new OS and will one day even switch to it. I have talk several times about the system and used it for a while in the Tiny Russian Village. It had bugs back then, but from what I understand it has been made available and is rolling out now to all aspects of the government and schools in Russia. This will make Russia much safer from back door attacks by the USA, due to Windows usage in the past…

The bottom line truth is, Windows has been used to infiltrate other countries and governments have finally woke up to that fact….then again, Windows is used to spy on the people in the US and you should switch OS’s to get away from that issue…

Now I am not stupid and realize that Russia will do the same to her people. Thus, I use a world available OS like Linux Mint…

By the people for the people…

Joe Biden is all that is wrong with America… Quote from the “arse” below…

“Look at the state of Russia now. They’re in enormous decline. They’re—by any definition, these guys are on a toboggan run,” he smirked. “They have a second-rate military power. They have significant advantages geographically, where they’re engaged. They have a nuclear arsenal that is—can blow up the whole world. But in terms of their efficacy, their capacity is de minimis compared to ours. They’re in a situation where they’re an oil-based economy.

I use to feel like throwing up when I would see Obama and Biden together. One of them was bad enough, but the both of them was beyond acceptance to see. All that is wrong and all that is still wrong with America. Trump and Pence have followed in the same footsteps as these two guys…

Trump has only one choice, clean the swamp at all costs or get out. I voted to clean the swamp in DC and expect it to happen. Trump needs to take the bullets coming his way and do his job. Many of us voted for him to do just that. And if something happens to him while he is cleaning the swamp? That is when we will see a Civil War in America…

I am waiting to see Hillary and gang in prison. I hope in my lifetime to see Obama in jail for all he did and that my friend is what is wrong. To many people let bygones be bygones in politics….Any president and admin still alive that still condones what all we have done in the past? Have to go….Bushes included…

The U.S. Has Killed More Than 20 Million People in 37 “Victim Nations” Since World War II

It is not a Republican/Democrat issue: It is a very bad sickness that we allow to fester and it is called The Federal Government. Small is fine, gargantuan is just plain wrong. Yes, USA administration that is you….the USA needs to go back to almost all power at state level and nothing but coordination of national defense should be at the National Level…

States need to control themselves and the people will talk by where they live. If you live in a state that does not suit you then go where it does suit you. Believe you me, a Texas loving person will not be in Illinois. Believe it or not…

Sounds like it is time to get rid of the position of presidency in the USA…

I voted for Trump to get it done and will back him 100% if he does it….all the way to internal war if necessary and I am not alone…..it can be done nicely though. Lets do it…

We gotta wake up….lets get our house in order, before we try to get other homes in order…

Not going to happen though… Fear and being scared at the top of the list…

Biden is a perfect example of what is wrong with America…

America politics is nothing but graft, corruption and lies, sounds like much of the world politics…

When dealing with American politics, you try to follow the money, and that’s where it leads you. It doesn’t take you to the electoral college or to Princeton. It takes you down the darker alleys of American life. – Roger Morris

Yes and that road is always the low road in 99% of the worlds cultures…

https://www.zerohedge.com/news/2018-01-28/fbi-releases-docs-claiming-rt-founder-beat-himself-death-his-hotel-room

The FBI just released the results of their investigation claiming that the media mogul and founder of RT killed himself by repeatedly smashing his head and upper body into the ground.

Are we accepting this at face value? I don’t….I am looking down as you try to make us believe it…I am trying to stay on that highroad and see what is happening, but the slope is steep and slippery….sometimes we have to start climbing and sometimes we have to repeat that climb up the same mountain many times….but we must do it…

Now you know why DC attacks me all the time. I do not agree with what we as a country has become. I don’t agree with what many countries do to their people, but the land of the free and home of the brave should be doing a better job at presenting itself to the world. When you spout that you are the highroad? Then you must walk the highroad….otherwise…

I’m interested in anything about revolt, disorder, chaos, especially activity that appears to have no meaning. It seems to me to be the road toward freedom. – Jim Morrison

Washington Reaches New Heights of Insanity with the “Kremlin Report” – Paul Craig Roberts

In an act of insane escalation of provocations against Russia, Washington has produced a list of 210 top Russian government officials and important business executives who are “gangsters,” “members of Putin’s gang,” “threats,” “people deserving to be sanctioned,” or however the Western presstitutes care to explain the list. The absurd list includes the Prime Minister of Russia, the Foreign Minister, the Defense Minister, and executives of Gazprom, Rosneft, and Bank Rossiya. In other words, the suggestion is that the entirety of Russian political and business leadership is corrupt.

The Russians do not seem to understand the purpose of the list. Presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that the government sees the list as an attempt to interfere in the Russian presidential election. There is no doubt that Washington would like to reduce Putin’s public support so that Washington can use the Western-funded NGOs operating in Russia to present American stooges as Russia’s true voices. However, it is unlikely that the Russian people are stupid enough to fall for such a trick.

‘It’s like the Americans just copied the phonebook’: Russian officials respond to the U.S. government’s new ‘Kremlin list’

On January 29, the U.S. Treasury Department published its “Kremlin List” of senior political figures, oligarchs, and “parastatal entities” in Russia. The “detailed report,” which was required by the 2017 “Countering America’s Adversaries Through Sanctions Act,” was written in consultation with the National Intelligence director and the head of the State Department. The list names 114 high-ranking state officials and 96 so-called oligarchs in Russia. Treasury officials listed virtually every member of the presidential cabinet, every official in the presidential administration, the head of every state corporation, and nearly every major entrepreneur. Meduza collects some of the first reactions from Russian officials appearing in the news and on social media.

It is what I say about Russians make everything now…

I call them TV dinners. This is something I have found before, but plain hand wrapped and they are put together locally and by a local person. Like within the store itself…

But we now have five or six types of factory packaged TV dinners. When I see one or something like this, I have to buy and try. I want to know what Russia is up to and at 49 rubles it is a deal…

49 rubles is about .87 cents American dollars…

Just to let you know what is happening in Russia. It is amazing what they are making, Russians have found an internal market that is growing and growing. This is what the sanctions have done to Russia. The Sanctions do not hurt, they are allowing Russians to expand away from the laziness that had over taken them, when they allowed the west to dump products everywhere and dump anything such as Bush’s Chicken

Halupki – Russian and or World Stuffed Cabbage Recipe…

Halupki, also known as stuffed cabbage in the Russian/Ukrainian world, is a dish made of rice, beef, even grains of several types and even pork wrapped in cabbage. My grandma Opal Stroud (German name of course said the horse,) taught me how to make this delicious food for the poor people we were. Every family has their own version of this traditional/cultural dish (all over the world.) I hope you enjoy these with mashed potatoes, corn and or even green beans, just as we always did in my family and the family I have now! Wrap it in cabbage leaves and call it Halupki…

Ingredients

1 head cabbage…
enough water to cover cabbage cut up…
1/4 teaspoon salt/pepper…
3 pounds lean ground beef, pork, and or whatever…
1 1/2 cups cooked white rice, even buckwheat (In Russia гречиха (grechikha))…
1/4 cup finely chopped onion a little bit of chopped garlic if desired and or leave this out completely…
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (Who cares really for this?)
2 complete eggs, shelled and slightly beaten…
salt to boil with…
1 (28 ounce) can tomato sauce or even tomato paste will do…
2 2/3 tablespoons white sugar (Really could do without…)

Directions

Place the cabbage in a stockpot with enough water to cover. Add 1/4 teaspoon salt to the water and cabbage. Bring water to a boil over medium-high heat. Turn cabbage every 2-3 minutes and remove leaves that separate from cabbage and place in a strainer to cool. Boil until all the leaves have cooked, about 15 minutes. they start to become translucent and flexible….Reserve aside 16 oz. of cabbage water…

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). While waiting to cook cabbage…
Trim thickest bottom vein off of bottom of each cabbage leaf. Before using…
In a large bowl thoroughly mix together, ground beef, ground pork, rice, chopped onion, fresh parsley, egg lightly whipped, garlic powder and or real garlic, salt, and pepper…
Lightly pack a small amount of meat mixture and place in the center of the cabbage leaf. on a board…
Fold sides over the filling and start at the stem and roll the cabbage up until the meat is covered with the whole leaf….Repeat with remaining leaves and filling…
Toss the leftover leaves that are pieces and place into the bottom of a nonstick roasting pan.
Layer the stuffed cabbage rolls over the cut/chopped/broken cabbage leaves.
In a bowl, mix the tomato sauce, reserved cabbage water, and white sugar…
Pour the tomato sauce mixture over the cabbage rolls…
Cover roasting pan with aluminum foil. Or a lid that fits if oven proof…
Bake in preheated oven until the ground beef mixture is no longer pink in the center, about 2 hours.
Baste stuffed cabbage rolls every half hour or better…

I like to cut baking time into half, by cooking the mixture first. Your choice…

In a large bowl thoroughly mix together, ground beef, ground pork, rice, chopped onion, fresh parsley, egg lightly whipped, garlic powder and or real garlic, salt, and pepper…

Take above and fry in skillet until done and browned and use to roll up in the leaves of the cabbage…

Can’t tell the difference in taste and definitely saves time. You also just adjust flavors in your mind to what tastes good to you. More salt, more pepper and tons of garlic. Yummy!

Add a can of corn, green beans and or what ever and cook at the same time. Just use your imagination and go for it. I will say this, “It is easy to make, cheap to make and leftovers are never a problem.”

Make a huge batch and freeze half of it for next week…

Now you know what to do with that giant head of cabbage?

Dagong Global Credit Rating Co., Ltd.

January 16, 2018

Dagong Global Credit Rating Co., Ltd. (“Dagong”) has decided to downgrade both the local and foreign currency sovereign credit ratings of the United States of America (hereinafter referred to as “the United States” or “the US”) from A- to BBB +, and each with a negative outlook. The perennial negative impact of the superstructure on the economic base has continued to deteriorate the debt repayment sources of the federal government, and this trend will be further exacerbated by the government’s massive tax cuts. The increasing reliance on the debt-driven mode of economic development will continue to erode the solvency of the federal government.

The main reasons for downgrading the sovereign credit ratings of the United States are as follows:

1. Deficiencies in the current US political ecology make it difficult for the efficient administration of the federal government, so the national economic development derails from the right track. Under the political ecology which is built by the factional rivalries, factional interests are prioritized, and it is hard for the government to focus on the management of the national economy and social development. Therefore, the national economy is highly debt-driven. Nevertheless, the government did not discover from the financial crises that it is the debt-driven mode of economic development that has hindered the country from making ends meet. Instead, it continues to seek credit expansion through direct issuance of the US dollars, therefore serves as the “track walker” on the wrong track that departs from logic.

2. The distorted credit ecology that violates the law of value leads to the abnormal solvency of the federal government. Capital’s desire for profits makes the financial sectors of the United States strive for more profits through continuous expansion of the chain of credit transactions by designing capital products and trading structures, and the virtual value-added model of capital self-circulation that runs out of the real economy provides living space for the ever-blooming debt bubble of the federal government. The government has formed a virtual solvency by increasing new debts in the name of the United States through abusing the right of issuance the US dollar as the international reserve currency. Therefore, the distorted credit ecology has made the federal government’s abnormal solvency become its derivative product.

3. Massive tax cuts directly reduce the federal government’s sources of debt repayment, therefore further weakens the base of government’s debt repayment. The tax cuts act implemented from 2018 did not attack the root cause of the unsustainable debt-driven economy of the US, so it is projected that the US economy growths only 2.3% in 2018, and would grow even more slowly in the years after. Besides, fiscal revenue of the federal government will keep declining due to the tax cuts, so it is projected that the fiscal revenue to GDP ratio will fall to 14.0% in 2022, a 3.3 percentage points down from that of 2017. The rising demand for national defense, infrastructure and rigid spending will made it hard for the federal government to reduce fiscal expenditure effectively, thus it is estimated that the fiscal deficit of the federal government in 2018 and 2019 will rise to 3.9% and 4.1% respectively.

4. Using the rising debt to make up for the fiscal gap brought by the tax cuts will inevitably increase the credit risk of the federal government. The financial gap and the pressure to repay maturing debts raise the financing needs of the federal government. It is estimated that ratio of fiscal revenue-to-debt of the federal government will be 14.9% and 14.2% in 2018 and 2019 respectively, and the ratio will deteriorate to 12.1% in 2022. The government will then have to raise the debt ceiling frequently. In addition, the government’s realizable assets-to-debt ratio is merely 7.3% in 2017. That is to say, the government cannot stay solvent relying solely on its realizable assets and it has to resort to debt monetization to maintain the balance between repayment sources and debt. However, interest rate increase and balance sheet reduction of the Federal Reserve raise the cost of finance through debt roll-over. Thus to roll over debts is unsustainable.

5. The virtual solvency of the federal government would be likely to become the detonator of the next financial crisis. The serious imbalance between the sources of debt repayment and liabilities makes the federal government the weakest link in the US debt chain. Taking the advantage of its right to print money, the US strives to maintain its solvency by purchasing treasuries with newly-printed dollars, which, in itself, is a debt crisis. The market’s reversing recognition of the value of US treasury bonds and US dollar will be a powerful force in destroying the fragile debt chain of the federal government.

Debt economy model determined by US political system, strategy and economic base will not change; tax cuts have increasingly adverse effects on the government’s repayment sources; continuous reduction of fiscal revenue and increase of debts show that the government’s repayment ability is weakening. Hence, Dagong holds a negative outlook for both the local and foreign currency sovereign credit.

Dagong Downgrades the Sovereign Credit Ratings of the United States of America

Hmm…. No wonder the US is crying about China!
