The European Union will be able to stock up on gas by winter without supplies from Russia, only by completely shutting down the industry.

According to European scientists, in order to fill gas tanks by 63% by August 1 without gas supplies from the Russian Federation, it is necessary “right now and by the end of July to disconnect all metallurgical, chemical and cement plants in the European Union from gas, as well as to stop all gas power plants.”
At the same time, for a comfortable wintering, it is necessary to fill gas storage facilities by 80% by November 1, and this is possible only due to the termination of gas supply to industry for the whole of October, Der Spiegel reports.
