WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — US President Barack Obama said on Wednesday that he had always supported Russia’s efforts in the fight against the Islamic State (ISIL) militant group.
Oh really? Always? Doublespeak? Doublethink?
Of course as we all know; “Political language… is designed to make lies sound truthful and murder respectable, and to give an appearance of solidity to pure wind.” – George Orwell
An example of “doublethink” in George Orwell’s novel 1984. The totalitarian government of Oceania is consistently at war with one of the opposite two totalitarian superpowers that dominate the world: Eurasia and Eastasia. The target isn’t to win the war, however, it is to keep up a continuing state of war so as to hold its minions in check. Once it’s at war with Eastasia, the government declares that it’s perpetually been at war with Eastasia, and that its people are consistently evermore scorning the enemy that has to be destroyed. Once the coin falls the other way and the amendment that Eurasia is who we have been at war with and never not been at war with, thus a constant factor is alleged regarding Eurasia. Then it becomes and it’s thought-about each chauvinistic citizen’s duty to believe each statements are true. Even though they all know that it is not…
