I have talked many times about how when you are diabetic, exercise is important.
I see too many people both in America and in Russia who lose a leg to something so easy to keep under control It is easy if you care about yourself…
This morning is a typical walk. I went almost 6 kilometers, did my shopping for groceries and ate a small breakfast at Globus. This is one of two walks I do everyday. Both about the same length and I do whatever shopping I need to do when I walk…
Here is a typical night walk screenshot below. I use Google Fit to keep track of myself as I walk. It really works good and I have a sim data card to take care of when I am not at WiFi…
I do not run, I do not walk as fast as I can, I just simply walk and enjoy life. My morning walks are the easiest for me to move faster. In the evenings I have more issues and must pace myself better. Many times I move slow to keep from suffering so much…
That is the key thing, do your best to enjoy walking and look at things. Do not worry about the speed…
I realize that diabetes makes it hard to walk. I had that issue and found it too easy to just act like my feet hurt too bad and walking was making it worse. First thing when diabetic is to take care of your feet. That means in my case, put on a good foot cream everyday. That keeps the diabetic cracking and splits away….wash your feet everyday, keep the toe nails trimmed and clean and do not ignore guts and abrasions to your feet…
One of the worse enemies to a diabetic is cuts on your foot and acting like all is wonderful. At one time I could not even walk on a sandy beach without being in pain. Now Svetochka looks on in amazement as I walk on pebbles, asphalt, concrete and beaches with ease. She is the one with grumpiness as I walk all over and do not complain. As she tries to keep up now…
If you are reading this and are diabetic?
Get to walking, take you medicine and watch what you eat!
Your blood sugar levels will come down and you will feel so good that walking becomes easy…
Yes you can…
