In Moscow and a cup of coffee…

imagesSammy the Volga ran great and  we have ample power now to pass and fly with the traffic. We use to have to stay hard right on the highways and hope that a bicycle would not embarrass us as they passed us. Now it is hard to keep her under the speed limit. Top speed is probably around 160 kilometers per hour now and it will cruise all day at 120 to 130 kph. This is a huge difference compared to our lucky to hit 80 kph with the old engine…

Coffee! The only substance that eased my grouchiness. Oh so good and I will have another cup today…

There is still a few things to do, but it is like a new car for us and plenty of power to boot. Svetochka was just all smiles as we tooled down the road…

I was too, too and another “too” grouchy yesterday. Poor Svetochka and Boza. Moscow will be the death of me, for it is too crowded and not at fun, due to mass humanity. I love Moscow, but it crushes this country boy and as I have said in the past, “Moscow is not Russia and Moscow is a wannabe western city!”

Boza is struggling with no sight and new surroundings. We walked three times so far and he is getting the hang of the elevators and some stairs. He remembers enough about the flat we live in and Svetochka was really good to clear the hallways and foyer to allow him to get around to his food and bed…

Sveta is a good girl that way and she really loves Boza…

Got to go to the store and get some items and then get ready to escape Moscow in a few days. I have to leave Russia and be gone awhile. It is a cold hard fact that I have to leave and it makes no sense to me. But someone high up in the Russian government thinks that we expats have to leave once in awhile and well, I gotta go…

Therefore, posting will be thin for a week or so. I may post from where I am at or may not. We will see…

Besides, I am one grouchy bear. The trip from the Tiny Russian Village is no fun and leaving the village behind is even less fun. Vova hugged me and wishes me back safe and sound soon. Now they will be fighting with each other, because no one will fill the wells. 🙂

Gotta go, maybe write later today?
