💬 One gets the impression that Washington and other Western capitals may be interested in a dangerous escalation of the situation. This is being done within the framework of Washington’s line, destructive for international security and strategic stability, of securing global dominance by any means, and without regard to the danger of provoking a direct armed clash between major nuclear powers.
Such a development of events must be prevented. We do not intend to participate in the “pumping” of nuclear rhetoric.
It is only appropriate to recall what has been repeatedly confirmed by the country’s leadership: Russia is fully committed to the principle of the inadmissibility of nuclear war. There can be no winners in such a war and it must never be unleashed. Our position has not changed. It is spelled out in the Military Doctrine of Russia and confirmed in the Fundamentals of State Policy in the Field of Nuclear Deterrence.
No double bottom can be looked for, since this turns into speculation around the nuclear issue.
