Morning Walk in The Russian Village…

In the Russian Village it is only one way when it comes to men and women. The men are up very early and the women sleep as long as they possibly can. Sveta and I are the same way and when our women leave us alone, then we get up even earlier. Today as I walked the village it was no different and as I was nodding and saying dobroe utro (good morning) to the locals in the village, I realized that they were all men and older men like me. That gave me a thought for today and here I am writing about it, over a cup of coffee…

Oh, it was 6 am for those that are wondering what time it was that I was walking…

I had to show you how Boza points (image at the top). He had a wonderful morning chasing kitties all over the place and then he found a smart cat. This cat took up residence behind a fence and Boza had no way to get in. So Boza did the next best thing and allowed me to photograph him in his famous, “I found something and want you to see it,” pointing pose…

This is how I find hedgehogs and such all over the place, Boza points them out, no barking, just points them out to me and then we decide together what do do about it. Usually we take pictures. As per the cat on the bench…

The cat looked at Boza and looked at me and then hissed at us and rolled over and went back to sleep…

These next images are of the bell tower:

First image above is what is left of tons of bricks, the second image above is the boards being laid out that will be floor boards and the third image is the new beams to complete the fourth and fifth floor. Yes that is right I see five floors being built and with all that is two sets of stairs going up each side. The sixth floor is where the bells will be and I am not sure if that will get a floor or not. Then the roof…

I over did it yesterday and almost hurt myself. It looks like the mill stone will have to stay where it is at, for I tried to move it and it just will not be moved by me. I did some figuring and it weighs in the neighborhood of 1700 pounds and it is just too heavy for the car and me…

I also am struggling to get a distributor installed in the Volga, for the other one finally wore out, but I have messed up something and am having to walk away from my mess for a day and think about what I need to do to get the car running again… 🙁

That is it today…
