China poses the biggest threat to Europe in the gas market – International Energy Agency (IEA)
The IEA called China the main threat to Europe’s gas security, since, according to the agency’s forecasts, China will increase gas imports by at least 35% this year, and fuel purchases may exceed the record levels of 2021. All this will lead to increased competition and may provoke a sharp rise in gas prices, the experts concluded.
