This video has been removed from service and is an example of censorship….

This has become very normal for a lot of the Phillip Miles facts…

Oil Pipeline to China…

Eastern Siberia/Pacific pipeline...

Russian oil has started to flow to the city of Mohe, in the northeast of China via a new pipeline segment of the Eastern Siberia/Pacific pipeline. The oil is now on its way to the oil refinery in Daqing, China…

Before this historic moment, Russia supplied oil to China only by train. This has just been a moment of history and a tightening of the energy ties between Russia and China…

A well know rumor is that China has a real wish to procure all the Russian oil and gas that it can…

I do not think that is a rumor myself…

Emails and Coffee…

Coffee and E-mails...

This last few weeks I have received a whole lot of e-mails. These e-mails are not all the I hate you and Russia type of e-mails. Some of these e-mails are a change from that, but yes I do get the I hate you and die e-mails also… 🙂

The new e-mails have to do with, are there job opportunities in Russia? They are about what is happening in the USA. Unemployment is running out. This is the case in 6 e-mails and I have been told that they have been on Unemployment a year or more. I have e-mails also that express that they need to get out of a country that seems to be in a downward spiral…

I will not go into details because many of these e-mails are from friends that I would never embarrass in the least. Many more are from people I do not know and they are just grasping at straws. I would and will help if I am able. I will be answering some of those e-mails in the next few days and I will help anyone the best I can. If you show up in Russia because you went a little crazy and threw everything into the wind! I will be glad to at least find you at the airport, because the taxi drivers will drive you crazy… 🙂

I really hate to see that people are struggling bad enough that they have allowed the thought to cross their mind to leave America if the work is available somewhere else…

I did not leave America for a job. I left because I found someone who really cares about me, myself and I and I care the same back to her…

Russia is not a magic bullet of job security and the world here will leave you at a lessor level than you are use too. But that is OK with me because I am not a person who cares about material items to the extent that many people I know in America do…

The one area that seems to be available for English speaking people is teaching English. If you have the proper credentials then believe you me the jobs are here and there are many of them. Even for people who are just native speakers the jobs are here under the table so to speak…

Example is that we have had at least 4 English schools open up near where we live. This has happened in the last few months. The schools are packed and overflowing with students and teachers are few and far between…

Teaching English is not a piece of cake and I have done a little of it. I have many people that ask me to teach them English, once they find out that I am from America. It is a time consuming occupation and you have to have tons of patience. Many Russians have some English from their years in school and all you have to do is unlock those memories…

I am going to expound a little more on the English topic.

Ukraine, Russia and Georgia are in the middle of a huge English push. Russia less then Ukraine and Georgia. But Russia is starting to see a new need, that is growing because of their Silicon Vally Project…

Georgia and Ukraine have put out to the medias that they need thousands of teachers. They are making a huge push away from the Russian language and need the English teachers. This last trip to Ukraine brought me face to face with the prospect of Ukraine needing thousands of teachers to teach their doctors, lawyers, police and government officials. In fact the need is almost to the point of please we need teachers to learn English. Georgia has for a year now been doing the same and Georgia due to there issues lately have struggled to get any teachers of English to go there. Especially Native speakers…

What about other than English? Well the world is wide open. Russia is looking for the people to work at the Skolkovo Innovation Center and that is huge. Scientist, Engineers, Mathematicians, Computer Tech and so on and so on. Russia is a huge wealth of need as long as you are trained and can meet those needs. A person with a college (University) degree would do well in Russia…

Ukraine has abundant openings for web design, consultation and financial marketing. Ukraine is starting to get over being weaned off of America money and has started to stand on her own two feet again…

I want to end with these last few words. Yes the jobs are on this side of the world if you have what it takes to do those jobs. But it is more than a job. It is a whole new way of life and what I see as a downfall is that people come to Russia from America and or Britain (etc) and they cannot let go of the old. They find that life is squat toilets, no ice cubes, no Christmas, no Thanksgiving, trains, no air conditioners, no fans, no hot water three weeks a year (or no hot water at all in some towns), mass transit rules the road, Russians are some of the worse drivers in the universe, Russian do not smile, the Russian language is hard and etc etc etc etc etc…

They never get past the superficial things. So that means they are not capable of enjoying life on this side of the world…

About Us!

It was brought to my attention that some people seemed to think I am Russian acting like an American!!!

So I am going to let you see who I am and my Sweetie (Sveta). Now if you go to the older posts you will find that I have an article about my sweetie already.

I was born January 16th 1959, In Marshal, Missouri. In the USA. I have a Biology Degree with Genetics as the platform degree. I have a Minor in History, Psychology, and Quantitative Management. I have a Degree in Qualitative Management and I am corporate Chef of the school: Cordon Bleu of Fine Arts. Lastly,I have a Associate Degree in Personal management from SEMO university…

I spent my working career in Food service, I was corporate management. I have a passion for computers and have worked on them as a sideline for many years…

I have found a new passion, Russia! I wish to make Russia my home for the last years of my life. I see an energy in Russia that has been lost in the USA. I see a desire in Russia that ended years ago in the USA. Russia is a growing and vibrant country. The people of Russia have the world at their fingertips but they do not realize it. They have more space to spread out than any country in the world. They have the resources to develop their desires. Russia has the ability to create a better Capitalist system. A system that actually works. A system that actually creates a better life for its people.

I worked all my life at a pace that almost killed me, I worked for years and never took vacations, I only had two days off a year. Thanksgiving and Christmas. Well several heart attacks later I am in Russia. I have found peace and quiet. I have found the most beautiful woman in the world. I have actually traveled, to Vietnam, Cambodia, Germany, Canada, Mexico, Russia, Georgia, Moldova, Israel, Turkey, Tunisia, Ukraine, Crimea and more. We plan on going to China, India, Mongolia, and I want to transverse Russia, all the way to the Sea of Japan.

What do I think about Russia?

I think that Russia is every bit as great as the USA, I like living here!

The ISS – International Space Station has turned 10 today…

International Space Station insignia.
ISS – International Space Station…

The ISS started active operation in 2000 0n November 2nd. The first crew was Sergei Krikalev and Yuri Gidzenko of Russia. Plus William Shepherd of the United States…

Since that historic day on November 2nd, 2000 a 189 cosmonauts and astronauts from 15 countries have called the ISS home…

Today the space station has been developed and evolved into a comfortable many-room “apartment” that orbits the earth…

The space station is really several years older than the 10 years because it floated mostly empty for a few years before being permanently occupied for the first time. So the 10 year mark is from the beginning of permanent house guests… 🙂

The current ISS crew are Russian cosmonauts Alexander Kaleri, Oleg Skripochka and Fyodor Yurchikhin, plus also NASA astronauts Shannon Walker, Douglas Wheelock and Scott Kelly…

Russia and WikiLeaks…

Picture of Julian Assange during a talk at 26C3
Julian Assange…

Just a tidbit of information that is passing around the grapevine…

It seems Julian Assange, founder of the whistle-blowing website WikiLeaks has decided to post some information about Russia, China and their current governments…

The rumor is out that the FSB (The KGB successor) will and can permanently silence WikiLeaks if need be…

The rumor is that the silence from Moscow about this rumor is a bad sign for WikiLeaks…

I believe that could be true. I would think that pissing off America would be enough for a while, but it looks like Julian Assange has a death wish…

Contacts in America make it clear that he is definitely on a tightrope and all that has been done now is put a target on his forehead. Then the blame can be instilled on Russia…

If you have heard about this let me know…

Oh “the web we weave”…

Ukraine Was Beautiful and Fun…

Sveta and I just got back from a visa trip to Ukraine. I have got to say that Ukraine is looking better every time that I go there, since the new president has taken over office…

Now Sveta and I forgot to take any real cameras so you have to live with the cheap cell phone camera that I had. But it worked and we have lots of memory pictures…

Sveta and I walked all over Kiev and found several coffee shops that had wonderful coffee and tea. It was cold and brisk so these shops were a help to stay warm. I found the coffee kiosks everywhere to be a good thing also in Kiev…

Kiev just felt great and the Cave Monastery that we visited was once again a trip that was priceless. The caves underground were wonderful and we spent a good hour walking around underground studying saints. I was able to get my 2011 calendar from the Monastery and we got some lamp oil to burn in our oil lamp…

I have a strange quirk about only using a Orthodox calendar from the Kiev Cave Monasteries! (Pechersk Lavra)… 🙂

Enjoy the pictures. Kiev, Ukraine is really a treat to visit and is very safe to wander aimlessly…

Remember This – It Holds True Even More Today!

The whole world needs to follow this!

China not Russia the Evil Demon Empire of Destruction…

Red Dawn a Remake...

American propaganda is still hard at work…

Hollywood is remaking the 1984 film called “Red Dawn”, but this time with Chinese as the scum invading country instead of the evil Soviet Empire….

Russia has lost her spot at the top of the heap of countries that will destroy America. But China has risen to the occasion and is now starting to surpass even the dreaded Muslims… 🙂

Looks to me like a  remake of the 1984 cold war teen action film, tells me much about America’s paranoia and insecurities…

A wonderful twist is that they did not have to look far for an inexpensive set to make the movie at. Much of the movie was shot in and around the ghost town we call Detroit. (Which is ideal for a deserted city because it really is a deserted city.) With unbelievable blocks of empty streets and abandoned factories that are the perfect real-life backdrop for the city’s war scenes… (They say it will cost around 40 to 50 million to make the movie, now that is a budget film in this day and age.)

Looks like Russia is going to have to work a lot harder to get back on top of that “Evil Demon Empire” list of countries…

We can’t have Russia letting down the old Soviet tradition! Can We?
