Today I have concluded several weeks worth of serious flashing of Android ROMs, be they custom and or stock firmware. I have worked on three phones, all different as night and day….but all android…

I just finished my final flash on a Galaxy s7 Edge and I did it only with root, no recovery such as TWRP and or CWM. I had stock s7 Oreo recovery and just a simple root done by CF-Auto-Root….no install recovery to aid in flashing…

I just flashed a Sac23 ROM for the s7. I will stay with this ROM. This is the third time on this particular phone, I have flashed from a stock Oreo Android firmware and went straight to a custom ROM without anything but root! I wanted to verify that it was not a fluke…

This link https://forum.xda-developers.com/s7-edge/development has given me dozens of ROMs to flash and I flashed dozens only by using Flashfire. All worked within their limitations. Many of the ROMs are not worth being a daily driver, but the Sac23’s are…

I will not go into details how to do this, for if you are trying such experiments as flashing with Flashfire, you better know exactly what you are doing…exception is this information below…

Tell Flashfire to mount partitions read and write, before flashing. It was the only way I could get anything to work consistently…

Options

• Auto-mount – Mount common paths before running update. Not usually necessary. Enable for A/B device OTAs, disable for all other OTAs. Some versions of the Xposed installer require this option to be enabled.
• Mount /system read/write – Mount /system read/write by default, rather than read-only. Doing this only once may break future OTAs. Enable when flashing custom firmwares. Some versions of the Xposed installer require this option to be enabled.
• Restore boot and recovery images – Attempt to restore stock boot and recovery images before flashing. May be required for some OTAs. Disable for non-OTA updates.

I do not tell you to do this and I expect you to do some serious homework before flashing Android in the first place. I have worked on Androids for many many years now and love a challenge. But, I have fried several phones in my time, called bricking them and some never come back to life…

This information is for someone who has TWRP’ed and CWM’ed your phones and flashed constantly like a monkey who swings through trees. I needed something different and needed to expand my knowledge…

I want to thank Chainfire for his development work on Android over the years….I have learned a lot…

Developers like Chainfire and Sac23 are the reason that us less intelligent have the ability to lean about things, such as Android…

Pryanyi Chai or Spicy Tea; now that winter is coming, it is time for traditional Russian warmup drinks. Did I just say Winter? I know, it is just Sept. 13th, but here in Russia, Autumn has arrived and it is time to get serious about Russian type foods. They are great for long hard winters…

This tea can be found while driving down the highways of Russia. When you enter a small village, look for the babushka sitting by the road. She will either be selling veggies in summer and or hot spicy tea, if the weather is getting cold. Makes the drive across endless Russia all the better…

Lets look at a great pick-me-up hot drink for those long winter cold nights…

Russian Spice Tea or Pryanyi Chai…

Ingredients: (Recipe is for a large group, adjust for smaller servings…)

15 tablespoons black tea leaves
3 tablespoons clove (whole)
4 tablespoons of zest of tangerine (Grated tangerine top layer peelings)
4 whole cinnamon sticks
4 quarts filtered water (one gallon)
1 cup honey
1/4 cup lemon juice (fresh preferred, but take what you can get…)

Make It:

Very simple; Place the tea leaves, cloves, zest and cinnamon sticks into a cheesecloth bag and tie the top tightly. Bring 2 quarts of water to a boil, add the bag, remove from the heat, and allow to steep, covered, for 10 minutes. Then add the rest of the water (total one gallon) and bring to a boil again…

After you let steep again for 10 minutes; Add the honey & lemon juice, stir and serve and or…

This tea may be made in advance and kept for two to three days if it is covered and refrigerated. Just warm up as needed…

Just cut ingredients in half to make smaller amounts. But….you will find on a cold day, that this tea disappears quickly…

I wonder about why anyone needs so much money that they could not spend it all? A trillion dollars?

Now consider how long it would take you to spend $1 trillion dollars. If you spent one dollar every second around the clock, it would take you 312,688 years to spend a trillion dollars. Spending $1 million an hour, non-stop for 24 hours a day, you wouldn’t run out of $1 trillion for 411 years. (I know some women in my past, who would give a trillion dollars a run for its money though…)

Remember when a million dollars was more money than the world? Now a million dollars is considered a poor person. Well this non-millionaire and his sweet pea are poor people and happy to be that poor. For if we had a million dollars, we would travel the world constantly…

Why….Svetochka and I could live the “Life of Riley” and all we need is a $1,000,000 and or actually a whole bunch less…

To live the “Life of Riley” in Russia and or in many other countries around the world, $100,000 dollars would suffice for your whole life….and I mean from birth to death and you would travel, eat good and dance the lights fantastic…

Update: Mayor Sergey Sobyanin has been re-elected to office after Sunday’s vote, securing the backing of Muscovites for a major program of city renovation. It was, however, more difficult in the Moscow Region for the incumbent governor.

According to official data, Sobyanin garnered just over 70 percent of the vote, meaning he has secured his new five-year term after the first round.

Communist candidate Vadim Kunin was second in the race but his support was much more modest, winning less than 12 percent of votes. A representative of another leftist party – Ilya Sviridov from the Fair Russia – was third with just over 7 percent and Mikhail Degtyaryov of the populist-nationalist opposition party LDPR came in fourth with under 7 percent, still more than twice what he got in his previous mayoral bid in 2013. Professional developer Mikhail Balakin, backed by the minor party Union of City Dwellers came in last in the race with under 2 percent.
