It is interesting to see western companies struggling with the profit losses from leaving Russia. IKEA has stated that they will open back up in Russia and many more including McDonald’s are trying to get the situation under control and get opened back up…
Good job McDonald’s, keep it up. Burger King is rocking and rolling…
Myself, I would like to see McDonald’s banned from Russia….but Russians love their McDonald’s and we will see. Words of wisdom to Russia, “McDonald’s is an undermining company against your society and they do it through their training system. Keep McDonald’s out!”
IKEA is necessary? No, you can get all the same stuff right from China and most likely at a better price and better quality. IKEA as I have said before on this blog…

One thing that Russians have to get through their heads is that western companies are under the wing completely of a tyrannical government in the USA and if you let them within Russia, they only benefit the USA and or the Oligarch in Russia whom is controlled by the west….they will simple put, “set up shop and undermine your countries culture and traditions to suit their needs and the needs of the western world!”
It is interesting to note that Coca-Cola is going strong in Russia and running full tilt. Coke is plentiful, whereas Pepsi, the cola that came during the USSR times, is struggling. Pepsi did not obviously expect this all to happen and did not set up itself accordingly to be optimized within Russia? But it seems that Coke is functioning fully independent of the USA mother company…
That is the key, the western companies that have stayed and or coming back, are companies that have divisions that are legally separated from the western world and are set up to be fully independent from western implications. It has been interesting to see which companies have the ability to overcome such implications that have been imposed…
I have noticed that many companies from the west simply stated that they were leaving Russia and changed the name and or still operate under the radar. Russia is a huge profit country for many western companies. Russia is a cash-cow, as per, the debt-cow that the USA has become…
Time is telling and telling in time shows that western business needs the world markets….for the USA market alone is a loss in most cases at the bottom line. It always brings to mind what my grandma would say, “If you owe someone for it? You only allowed to use it by them!”
As far as McDonald’s is concerned: as in my article below, McDonald’s was self-sufficient within Russia, years ago and they did not have to pull out. They did not nor do need the mother company to survive. In fact McDonald’s in Russia is a very profitable situation and I know all about McDonald’s…
McDonald’s did not have to leave Russia and that is that and that is what Russians need to remember about McDonald’s…
