Russia: Happy Birthday – International Space Station (ISS) !
Ten years ago on November 20, 1998 a Russian Proton rocket blasted off from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan. Its mission was to put the first piece of the International Space Station (ISS) into orbit – a 12.5 metre, 19.3 tonne Zarya module. It was the first step for mankind’s most daring space project.
