Old Man Winter woke up and decided to smack us all with a cold spell. The high for the next few weeks looks to be about max +20 C….

Not quite, but it could be on the downhill swing here in Russia! You just have to remember that I tell you, “Winter is almost eight months long and the other three seasons are four months long all together.”
Yesterday was +12 at the best…
Windows to Russia has finally been switched to HTTPS…
Svetochka worked long and hard to switch WtR to a Google friendly https (Yes, Google will slap you with many degrading penalties such as in search functions on Google with no https)….even though in Russia, Yandex says, “That is good to do, but we will not penalize you for not being https!”
Yandex rocks as a search engine…
It was not easy and Sveta said, “If anyone wants their site switched, they have to pay at least $100 cold hard cash, Dude!”
I think Svetochka listens to me talk to much in English…

We are back to Momachka’s home and will sleep well tonight. I fixed sliced turkey, seafood salad and fried pita bread for dinner and then we crawled in bed and soon were snoring away…

Regardless of trade deal or not at this point. Damage is done! The bully has been exposed and his tactics are unforgivable on the world scene. The shift away from trust in the USA has begun and will accelerate quickly…
China see their trade relations with US companies can be null and void after one tweet from President Trump. It will force Chinese companies to develop their own supply lines of components and services. Russia and China must not be dependent on one single component from the US…
With the sanctions on Huawei we see Android and other suppliers has been snubbed for selling to the huge Chinese market by the US. Huawei new operating system will be a fierce competitor in international markets…
President Trump will see and Tweet a trade deal with China as a huge victory, but the biggest losers has been US consumers and US companies that will lose significant market shares. And these shares are lost forever, for proof of reliability is hard to regain once you destroy the relationship…

This morning as I walked at 5 a.m., the swallows were chasing mosquitoes above the reeds and lake. These wonderful birds are the only reason that our Tiny Russian Village is livable in the summer. Otherwise the mosquitoes would use humans as a buffet everyday…
It is not long and I cut it, sized it, to make it easier to watch. My phone makes huge videos in size. Just too big…
Hope you like it. Walking is a pleasure when the animals all go about their business even when you are watching and walking…

Been very busy, too busy and Svetochka got after me and told me to slow down. Hard to do when you have such a limited lifespan and have to get things done…
So I walked this morning and waited to start working. I decided one way is to write a post, just some images and to tell you the status of things…

People in the village got testy with each other a few days ago. It has been hot and they started to get grouchy. See I am not the only one to be grouchy…
I fixed the clothes line (pole rotted off and I made it a third longer) and started to hang out clothes again. So wonderful to line dry things…
Otherwise, I have been repairing fence, ignoring the mad at each other neighbors, dodging horseflies & mosquitoes, repairing the new and old home, sipping coffee and wishing my sweetpea was here…

I got pretty sick from the hornet sting. Felt bad all day, but I still plucked along and got some things done…
First thing at 5 a.m. I walked. Then I opened up the new home and fought a battle with two more hornets. I won and found their nest. (Now that was fun, I have to tell you. I killed many more hornets, but they are all in a sack and buried…) They were inside the home. I thought that the nice lady who sent us the lilacs would like to see that they made it. The tiny pear trees have decided that we have a good home and are rooted well and growing like weeds. The outhouse needed some roof work, I feel bad because I used an old coat that turned out to be Sveta’s mothers raincoat and now I hope that they do not send me to the wood shed for being bad. I thought it belonged to someone else and they are long gone to heaven. I felt bad about being a bad bear….I owe her mom a new coat… 🙁
Then the morning view from the porch of our new home. I worked on the home before the heat set in and now at 8 a.m. it has gotten blistering hot. Well blistering hot for a bear and Russians…
