Maybe we should wake up?

Coffee-iconI have over the years talked about the US intervention in Ukraine…

Hello,

http://windowstorussia.com/from-russia-ukraine-and-usa-pull-bone_18.html

I was drinking my morning cup of coffee and checking on the rumors that America was messing around in the Crimea again. If you ever had any doubts that the USA was messing around in Ukraine then let those doubts be cleared up.

“In December 2008, Ukraine and the U.S. signed an agreement on defense and security cooperation, as well as the development of economic, trade and energy ties in the region. Under the terms of the agreement, Ukraine allowed the U.S. to open an office in Simferopol.”

Now lets get to the heart of this matter. Simferopol is the capital of the Ukrainian autonomous republic of Crimea. This means the Crimea is like South Ossetia and Abkhazia in Georgia.

That is not a good thing and it seems that Ukraine has every intention of causing an issue in a Republic that wants to be free from Ukraine. Most of the Crimean’s have Russian passports and have very close ties to Russia.

So what does this all mean? It means a lot of political tension that is not necessary and will help destabilize the area. Ukraine seems to have lost any common sense lately and by allowing the USA to open up a diplomatic office in Simferopol creates this type of problem:

“Crimean demonstrators had a bonfire on Wednesday at the Capital of Crimea. A Uncle Sam dummy was set aflame during a protest rally against Ukraine plans to open a U.S. diplomatic office in Simferopol, (the capital of) the autonomous republic of Crimea. The dummy, with a model cruise missile in each hand and the words U.S.A. written on it, was covered in petrol and set alight as hundreds of people attended a protest rally in front of the republic’s upper house of parliament.”

It seems that the Crimean’s feel that America will only be there to spy and help undermine the Black Sea Fleet Base.

Guess what? They are right!

PS: I hope on one of our many trips to the Crimea and Ukraine, that they don’t think I am the American dummy…

For years I have been telling about the Crimea and what will happen if the west continues to push Russia around…

The head of the State Duma committee on CIS affairs, Alexei Ostrovsky, said in April that Russia could reclaim the Crimea if Ukraine was admitted to NATO. Media reported that President Vladimir Putin issued a similar threat during a closed-door speech to NATO leaders at the Bucharest Summit earlier in April.

and this…

As I live amongst the Russians, I have come to conclude that there are several areas that are still considered Russian! The Caucus Region, The Crimea and The Black Sea are just a few. When you talk about areas like these, many Russians just automatically consider them Russian.

and this…

I was drinking my morning cup of coffee and checking on the rumors that America was messing around in the Crimea again. If you ever had any doubts that the USA was messing around in Ukraine then let those doubts be cleared up.

and this…

Ukraine demands Russia to give 72 hour notice on Black Sea Fleet movements. Ukraine passed a bill announcing that Russia must……. “restrict Russian warships at the leased military base at the Black Sea port of Sevastopol, saying the vessels` movements were subject to Ukrainian approval.” (Bad move Ukraine)

Ukraine to increase rent for Russian Fleet by up to 25 times. From January 1, 2009, the Ukrainian leadership is planning to up the rent for the Crimean territories where Russia’s Black Sea Fleet is stationed…… (Can some say, Stupid move?)

Why would Ukraine do this?

My only thought is that they want to lose the Crimea……

In Moscow, coverage of Georgia has so far drowned out the rumblings in Ukraine, but some Muscovites are clear where they stand…

“No one in my circle —and they’re rather well-educated— would say the Crimea is Ukrainian territory.”

What is happening in the world is not a surprise and is totally the west’s doing and fault. The red lines were drawn years ago by Russia and stepping over them by the west triggered the reactions that are happening now…

I have said before, “Russia does not bluff…”

America has reconfirmed the desire to continue the political meddling in the gas industry in in attempt to disrupt the business. This was already well known in Russia but ignored in the Western world. It will be interesting to see if the EU can show any independence from the Washington bull and circle of influence. Is the new EU presidential team, a political puppet of the , or a free thinking independent body?

It seems that the US just has lots of extra money to throw around on more foreign bureaucrats and more pointless underhanded escapades.

Why does America care about the /Ukrainian gas ? (Nabucco alternative this has been the main objective of USA foreign policy since 1989)

Yuschenko has just received more billions of dollars in support from the best public relations US firm that money can buy.

Is this America’s part of ’s election campaign to stir up the issue of gas in Europe? (With out a doubt it is.)

Why would Yuschenko miss such a wonderful opportunity to create destruction? (He will not win the election so he might as well finish taking the country down the road to ruin and get as rich as he can from it…)

So as I watch the protests continue about UCLA raising tuition 32% and watch students being arrested – I also watch our government take billions in American tax dollars and pour them into foreign countries political games, instead of helping our kids get a reasonably priced education… Sad

I have a hundred articles talking about such issues and I have first hand have seen what the American Embassy is doing in Ukraine. The article below tells the facts after a trip to the American Embassy in Ukraine…

In Russia the American Embassy is 180 degrees the opposite direction. Give me the Embassy any time. Low profile and less flash is an attribute. The same job is accomplished with a whole lot less overhead.

One thing that stood out to me was the political undertones from the American Embassy in Ukraine that infiltrated into the section. America is and has been buying the Ukraine government for some time now. Biden just bought and paid for Ukraine’s help to rearm Georgia. That is a No – No and should be stopped. American politics need to stay out of Ukraine or any other country for that matter…

truthYears ago I told everyone what was happening and I was ostracized. I was attacked by the power of the US government in many forms, but I kept telling the truth and still tell the truth…

Recipe: Cabbage with Tomatoes stew…

This is my recipe of a delicious cooked cabbage as a side dish for any meat. I have seen this same basic recipe here in Russia also. In fact I am sure that I have seen it at My My (Moo Moo) a Russian restaurant. I served this one time to the governor of Georgia, USA and 4000 other people at a state banquet…

I have thousands of recipes from when I made a living as a chef and manager in corporate food service. So try this one out and you will find that it compliments your choice of meat grandly…

Lets make Cabbage with Tomatoes Stew…

Ingredients:
1 small (young) head green cabbage – shredded
1 one small onion – diced
4 tablespoons of butter
1 cupful tomatoes – diced
1 peeled garlic toe – crushed
2 tablespoons sour cream
salt and black pepper to taste
1 or 2 tablespoons of sifted white flour to thicken the mixture…

How to prepare and cook:
Shred the cabbage… (no more than quarter inch wide strips)

Cook the onion and the garlic in 2 or 3 tablespoons of butter in a large nonstick skillet until tender and browned…

Then add the cup of tomatoes diced into the onions… (I leave peel on but you may peel)

Cook until the tomatoes water out… (You may add water if you need to at this point… You should have around 2 tablespoons equivalent of moisture.)

Then add the cabbage and let cook uncovered for about ten minutes until the cabbage is tender but still slightly firm…

Now while the cabbage is cooking. Take a small nonstick saucepan, heat the remaining tablespoon or so of butter and blend in the flour… (make a thin sauce rue)

Simmer over low heat, stirring constantly until the sauce thickens…

Stir the sour cream into the sauce rue, adding salt and black pepper to your taste… (I like to add paprika also, it helps give the dish color and pizzazz.)

Combine the sauce rue with the cabbage and simmer for a few minutes to blend the flavors…

It should thicken and make a form of stew, made out of Cabbage and tomatoes…

Serve as a side dish for a main entree. But I find that it is perfect as a main dish all by itself and for those that have to have meat. Just add diced chunks of pork, beef or chicken and wallah you have a meal in one… 🙂

ISIS-IS-USA

Coffee-iconThe fact that we Americans gave and are giving right now, hundreds of millions of dollars and tons of equipment and tons of weapons and even their Toyota trucks they drive around in, to the terrorists in Syria, Iraq, Libya and many other places. Makes the idea of turning your back to such an evil and immorality of a country, a possibility, but, the flaw in turning your back is death or worse…

Hollywood makes a huge deal out of people turning their backs upon the scum in the movie. Good people (?) degrade and belittle bad (?) people in the world by ostracizing and turning their backs upon the person in question as they are expelled from the society or “What Ever!”

I say, “When it comes to America, watch your back!”

never-turn-your-back-on-monkeys

If you turn your back on the USA, they will smack the crap out of you, while you think they are your friends or suppose to be friends. America does not have friends, they have scared countries wishing to not be destroyed when they (USA) come around…

You should think and wonder why we want to be that way? We have been doing this sort of stuff for a very long time and maybe if we stop the crap, the world may forgive us…

Looks like it is too late, from what I see…

Tiny Russian Village vs Moscow…

indexMoscow; Culture Shock, no parking, pollution, people everywhere, but there is hot water, my Sweet Pea (Sveta) and everything is in walking distance…

Tiny Russian Village; Perfect except no Sweet Pea…

Boza and I wanna go back; Yesterday…

We both are in shock, literally…

There should be death penalty laws to who ever built a complex that holds two thousand people and only allowed parking for ten of those people… 🙁

Got tons to do and laundry is going now.

Don’t Wanna Go…

Coffee_MugYes that is me being a big baby!

* * * * *

I have to leave for a month from the Russian Village, but inside of me, I do not want to go. It is starting into my favourite time of the year; winter! This is the time of the year that I am at my best and happiest. Winter is the perfect season and in Russia, you get lots of winter and that is just right…

* * * * *

Today I pack some items and get the car ready to drive to Moscow. I have thawed the three last fish from the lake and will fry them up for a meal today. I have saved these fish for Sveta and they are just perfect in size. Boza already got the fish heads to eat, so he is going to be looking for a fish head, but there are none. Poor Boza… 🙁

* * * * *

Sveta has been actually stunned about how warm, cozy and draft free the village home is. But I have worked all summer on making it a better home and survivable for the winter. The home was not designed to be a winter home, but as with most Russian village construction, survivability is built into all that they build. You just have to tweak it a little bit to get the best out of it…

* * * * *

I finally figured out the system of how they have fresh fish all year around. It is really interesting to me and when I get back to Moscow, I will take the time to explain what I have discovered…

* * * * *

Thus, I am going to get things done. maybe lay down again and let Sveta have time to wake up. She likes to sleep twice what I do and Boza and I have already been out walking for an hour and a half. It is good to have our Sweety Pie with us and I have a lot to do in Moscow, before I get back to the Tiny Russian Village…

Have a good day…

No excuses people, the writing is on the wall for a very long time…

It is only foolishness if anyone did not see the significance of the lies that led the US to wage war in Iraq without the UN’s backing. Back then, the US and the UK really demonstrated to the world who they are: either the world stops them or we die and or controlled by tyrants and killers…

Cup of Coffee and now Hot Tea…

dog tail
Wag that tail!

At 5 a.m. Boza heard me grumble and he stood by the bed wagging his tail (I could hear the swish swish of a happy doggy tail.) It was pitch dark, the snow was falling, the sky was cloudy and the world was silent. I got dressed while the coffee water boiled and I looked out the window, a window into Russia…

The weather turned nasty and Vova ran to his girlfriend in the Big Village. The guy who was staying at the green home near us, left in a flurry (I guess he had enough,) I could not find anyone else in the village except the lady in the white house. She stays all winter, thus I was basically alone. Well, Boza and I were alone, for he and I were happy as two pigs in a mud waller. We left new fresh prints in the snow everywhere we went. How cool is that? Very…

So, I sipped a cup of coffee, with a moaning doggy at the door. You know that moan like he is dying, but no one is touching him. I grumbled at him and he shut up for long enough to finish my coffee and with a bouncing dog on my tail, out the door we went…

It was only -2, but windy and we walked fore an hour or so. We rechecked the village for humans and did not even find a “kitty-Kat” to chase, everything was asleep and smarter than us two… 😉

* * * * * * * * * *

Coffee-iconI am now sipping a cup of hot tea, just perfect for after a long cold walk; I have to get ready for Sveta tonight and then we will leave Tuesday morning, back to Moscow. I know that there is most likely a few things to do around the home there and then Sveta and I are going to take a warm weather vacation. It is time for my Sweety Pie to swim in the ocean. Boza gets to stay with his grandma and she treats Boza like royalty…

Therefore tonight, I will have both my buddies with me and that my friend is a perfect night…

It is so wonderful…

The bell in the tower was calling service, the snow was falling so hard that you could not see the tower and Boza and I went out to play after it quit snowing…

snow4Boza promptly went out when the sun popped out and pronounced himself King of the snowy yard and told me to get to work, for the sunlight is being wasted on taking pictures… 🙂

I ignored him. Then took a walk, of course he followed me on my walk…

Have a nice day, for we sure are…

Tomorrow Sveta at the Russian Village…

I am so happy, Sveta is taking the train from Moscow to the Big Village (6 hour ride) and I will pick her up and bring her to our humble abode in the Tiny Village. The snow is blowing and it got to about -6 last night. Right now it is -1 and as I said, “Summer is gone!”

I cooked a skillet meal last night on the old wood stove. Just a single medium potato, one small onion, salt, pepper, garlic and some salami. The kettle started to boil and I made tea, about the time the tea was drank, the skillet was sizzling and after stirring twice, it was done. More hot tea and a bowl full of yummy…

I had to seal the facet better on the sink and I need to get a stopper so that I can fill the sink to do dishes better. The water is hot and this morning it really felt good to wash up with hot water. That is a luxury for me. I moved the mirror inside and now all personal care that was done outside is now inside. It is cold people…

I looked out the window not long ago and saw the neighbours home. They are not there, but the image shows what is happening outside, thus Boza and I are snug as a bug in a rug. We also have a little guest, he or she ate a pretzel I dropped and now has gotten brave enough to show itself. Going to nip that issue in the bud real quick. Mice and I do not get along. Now Boza does not care, he just watches while they eat his food… 🙂

Snowing in the Russian Village…

Coffee-iconYes I know, Russia and snow go together like a horse and carriage. But it still is snowing and Boza and I are very happy. Boza is running around like a crazy nut and I walked him two hours this morning, just to watch the snow fall. The ground is still too warm, but it is snowing and we are happy…

The thermometer I installed outside the front window said, -4 Celsius this morning when I got up. (-4°C×9/5+32
= 24.8°F)

Our Village Stove...I worked on the stove yesterday…

It works great and is warming the home right this minute, but…

I found a problem after I fired up the stove today. I have a loose brick inside getting ready to fall out. Bad news, I will think today and then tomorrow after it cools, I will repair the issue. I am looking at replacing the brick with a metal brace. The brick does nothing for the usage, just support of another metal brace. I will design and make today the support piece and fix it that way…

* * * * * * * * * *

Village sinkGot to do dishes today and that will be that last time to wash outside. I will install the new heater sink we bought and use that to wash myself and dishes for the winter. I have an idea where to put it and that is another project today. So tomorrow the stove and today the sink…

Time to make a cozy warm home, Sveta is coming Saturday night and I have to have it warm for her…

She will be grouchy otherwise… 🙂

* * * * * * * * * *

Time to get busy. Boza and I were astonished at the beautiful peace of the village this morning. Just an occasional raven yelling at us and all else was quiet as a church mouse. Boza and I walked over and looked at the empty fish house and then checked out the place where the pump is kept. Time to work, play is done…
