Top of what is called Bald Mountain…

The weather warmed up, thus Sveta has been able to run around and take images that in the last few weeks I could not. The image above is Bald Mountain. That is what it is called by the locals and it really is not bald. Maybe at one time it was?

The image above is of the road going across Bald Mountain. As you see it is not bald, but the road is unused, because not very many 4×4’s could get up the southern face of the mountain, much less the twice as long, but less steep northern face. It is just terribly steep…

We are going to have two days of +2 and +3 temperatures. I hope to see some snow disappear and this morning it has really melted. Finally getting some serious melting. But as with all teasing desires that happen, we will then go subzero for the next few weeks, to bring us back to reality. We will have nice ice capades all around the Tiny Russian Village…

I am getting antsy and want to get working on my overdue projects that need to be doe. The warm weather brings that to the surface in my mind, but I know that it is just a teaser. I have several major projects that have to get done this summer…

I have to refoundation the outhouse and reroof it at the same time…

I have to rebuild the chicken coop…

I have to dismantle the fireplace innards and reline with new firebricks…

I have to dig out the basement area and insulate the underside of the home, after what I discovered, after Sveta told / showed me!!!! A huge basement under the home, but the entrance is almost closed / choked off…

I have to rebuild the firewood supply. It looks as if I will use three stacks of the four that I built up last year. I would say that is pretty good and this year, I will build a lean-to and fill it with all the wood, except for one stack by the front door. The Tiny Russian Village home did real good and when I am done this summer, it will be excellent for the next winter…

COFFEE-LOVERPlus 10,000,000 other things to do… 😉

Warmer weather just seems to have brought on a touch of spring fever…
