I am not going to get very involved in this because I have expressed my sentiments many times about Medvedev selling out to America (The West!) From China: The report of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) published by a Washington think-tank on Tuesday repeated the sensational claim previously reported by news media all over the world that a former Soviet nuclear weapons scientist had helped Iran construct a detonation system that could be used for a nuclear weapon.
But it turns out that the foreign expert, who is not named in the IAEA report but was identified in news reports as Vyacheslav Danilenko, is not a nuclear weapons scientist but one of the top specialists in the world in the production of nanodiamonds by explosives.

Brent Scowcroft, adviser to U.S. President George W. Bush: The Soviet Union went through a period of aging or unhealthy leadership, and Gorbachev brought the power to stimulate the system. Exactly how to promote, we do not know, and I’m not sure what he knew. But what he did in fact – he asks the question: “What must I do to the Soviet Union continued to operate?”

Makes you smile at the cringing Western media over the fact that Russia opened an important pipeline that secures energy for Europe. They know that they need this energy but to acknowledge it with open arms is not allowed with the Western governments…
Russia should be praised because they have secured energy for Europe to use with much less hassle than using a transit country that tries to play poker with the gas lines…

International Atomic Energy Agency /IAEA/ ignored the Iranian authorities’ letter, in which they voiced the readiness to answer all the questions before the publication of the most recent report, but the agency’s officials hushed it up, Ali Baqeri, a deputy chief of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council said Thursday.
“The Director General of the IAEA doesn’t mention our letter anywhere /in the report/,” he said at a news conference in Moscow. “We qualify his actions as illegal ones.”

Iran will never give up its legitimate right to develop a nuclear program:

In Russia – Stroganoff is a popular dish to serve to friends when they come over. I think that it dwells from the fact that you can use a tough meat and cook it until it is tender. I never see fine cuts of meat used and most of the time any meat is used along with the beef. So in effect Russians just call it stroganoff and no one worries about what kind of meat is in it…
Stroganoff in Russia is not just served on noodles as is common place in America. Stroganoff is served with french fries, rice, mashed potatoes, fried potatoes, pasta noodles, grechka, bread and anything else that catches your fancy. If it is a starch or grain it can have stroganoff on top of it. In fact many places that Sveta and I have gone to eat at use stroganoff as a side dish on grechka…
I saw in the grocery store five years ago in Russia when I first came here. That they take old french fries not sold for the day and put them in a plastic container. Then they take a stroganoff and ladle over top. The container is sealed and priced then chilled and sold as a meal. Cold like a sandwich would be sold and I see that most stores do this to use up left over foods. The restaurants take it to a new level and serve it as a main dish with all the trimmings…
So lets have a Russian favorite that will be easy to make and you can ladle it over top of just about anything that you so desire. Maybe even that left over pizza that you have from last night… 🙂
Lets make a simple Stroganoff…
Ingredients:
1 lb stew meat or any meat and cube it
1 pkg brown gravy mix (store bought)
1 small can mushroom stems and pieces
1 pint sour cream
2 tablespoons dehydrated onions
1/4 cup cooking wine or not if you so desire but stroganoff has this as a real ingredient for flavor.
1 cup water
Directions:
First cook the meat in a skillet at medium heat. I prefer this to get the blood cooked out before adding to the rest of the ingredients. You can cook this a day ahead of time is you desire…
Then once you have the meat cooked add the meat, gravy mix, dehydrated onion, wine and water in crock pot on low temperature for 6-8 hours. Please make sure that you put the lid on the crock pot…
After around 6-8 hours remove lid, increase temp to high, add mushrooms, cook some more until liquid thickens. About another hour. Yes you may want to add some more gravy mix to thicken it if you desire…
Then stir in sour cream and serve immediately over rice, noodles, grechka, slice of bread or what ever…

After 13 years of laying the groundwork and two years of being built, the Nord Stream pipeline will flow its first Russian gas to an estimated 26 million households in the EU on this Tuesday. The Nord Stream pipeline, which passes under the Baltic Sea from Vyborg city in the Leningrad region of Russia, to Greifswald in Germany, will be unique in many ways. It is the longest undersea pipeline in the world – more than 1,200 miles – and will operate under the highest pressure permissible to modern times…
The pipeline capacity will have reached 1 million cubic meters per hour at 4 pm Moscow time, which calculates to an annual supply capacity of 8.5 million cubic meters. This should grow to 27.5 million cubic meters of gas a year and after the second line is launched in the autumn of 2012, deliveries will double to total of 55 billion cubic meters per year…
This was all necessary because Gazprom has forecast that the usage of gas in Europe would rise to 200 million cubic meters a year by 2030…
This pipeline opening today has caused a stifled squeak and squeal from two transit countries (Ukraine and Belarus) and they see transit money in the billions and billions of dollars being skirted around their countries now that Nord Stream is a fact. These countries were given the opportunity to correct their attitudes years ago and they chose to follow a path of self destruction…
This was a huge operation for Russia and Putin was a driving factor in this pipeline. He overcame many obstacles and now has helped secure energy stability in Europe. The days of Ukraine and Belarus holding Russia/Europe hostage with gas blockage are ending and that is just right…
But the final coup de grâce is the South Stream Project that will finish the need for troublesome transit countries.
The so-called baby boxes installed throughout Russia, like in Europe and Japan, are for mothers to anonymously leave the unwanted newborns, health officials said Monday…
The action is intended to provide sanitary conditions of unwanted children, instead of having “babies left in trash dumpsters,” officials said…
