I am a tidbit grouchy this morning in the Tiny Russian Village:
Sammy the Volga has decided to show that she has a Clutch Throw Out Bearing going out. I suspected something a few weeks ago and after the last few days of testing and exploring what the chirping noise is when I engage the clutch, the throw out bearing is saying goodbye. Not a u-joint that I can replace, but something that I cannot do myself laying on the ground with no room to do it….and it will never make it to Moscow…
So now, I have to ease to the Big Village and go at a time that I do not like to go and get prices to replace the whole clutch. This is not something that you half-ass and do. When one part goes, replace the whole shebang…
So now, I have to adjust the budget, gather the prices, find a place (Svetochka helps at these times.) to do the job and be very patient. This is where the term (завтра) zavtra (tomorrow) comes into effect at its finest…
Cost will be okay for Volga parts are cheap. Finding someone to do it is a tidbit harder and it is okay also. Therefore, the issue is what damn tomorrow will I be able to get the job done and then how many tomorrows after they start will it take to be done?
It becomes a, call back in two days, we will have the pieces you need tomorrow, tomorrow and okay tomorrow, “Who will drive me back to the Tiny Russian Village?”, “Is vodka really an important part of putting in a clutch?”, then you know life is getting frustrating when you hear, “blizhaysheye budushcheye (ближайшее будущее)”, in the near future – tomorrow…
I like to say, “God smiled when he made Russians, for the word patience and tomorrow tomorrow tomorrow are one and the same!”
It is all good and makes me a stronger person… (?)

I have watched and studied patiently since before the beginning of this change in our lives. That is what this is, a change, in some eyes a terrible change and in some eyes a good change. I lean toward the good change myself…
Things will never go back to the “Good ole Days” and that is that….and I liked the old days very much. Maybe I am too old?
Yet, no matter how you want to see things and how you perceive what this is all about, the Western World has been slammed and in coverup mode 24/7….Some reason the instigators of this issue never dreamed that they would become the recipients of the brunt of the game playing. It really is simply; A west / east situation!
If you desire the truth? Then start looking and use an open mind. Stop the hate, closed mindset and open your eyes and mind. Search and I mean search. Use search engines other than Google. All you have to do is read between the lines, take the facts that are given by both sides and then chronologically put it all together. You will find a surprising situation, yet, it was inevitable that it had to happen…
East against the West; Oops we really goofed up…
Many things positive & pessimistic from King Corona:
It is how you look at life, not how you think others perceive your life, but how you perceive life….life is truly what you make of it. It is how you react, how you accept and how you deal with what is thrown at you. Anyone who is watching all that is happening will see that many people who have had to deal with the pits of life as they grew up and matured, are walking around and wandering what the hell happened to the other half of the world…
This again is part of that East / West, Good / Bad, You / Me, Them / Us split. It is nothing to do with King Corona….it is just how you have been raised and how you think life should be. That is where the flaw in the plan exploded outwards and attacked the source…
I was raised to not trust people, including family. People are only in it for themselves and they will turn on you in a heartbeat…

I watch Sveta and see her thriving in this environment. I find myself thriving in this same situation. I find as Sveta does, pressure of life has eased and society expectations are greatly removed from the equation of existence…
To me, the fact we are going to a AI and robotic styled society is a plus benefit. I find that a cashless society is most likely a good thing in the end. I find that social distancing is exactly what makes me happy…
I find much more positive than negative about what is happening. What is happening has nothing to do with King Corona….and everything to do with intergovernmental issues. Badly done and badly played by those who expounded this game, but they are not the sharpest tack in the box…. Are They? No they are not!
They are the most selfish/narcissistic of the tacks in the box for sure…
Things are changing and we will suffer as they change. King Corona is just giving you a taste of those changes. King Corona is not a king, yet he was made a king by media, politicians and ourselves for the most part as a huge king. Actually we have exploited King Corona, yet he is the type who likes to be exploited. So all is good for him…
Therefore, many of us will lose our jobs. For our jobs are redundant and expendable for the most part…
Good Example: kiosks
The automation and roboticization of consumer business, personal existence and military/governmental functions is inevitable. That McDonald’s computer order station, you know the one that makes it so you do not have to look at another human and order food? Yes, that was the start of our new world that our children and their children will be embracing. Soon you will be able to order food and pick it up and never see a human touching your food…
It is what it is….and I happen to like ordering food by a kiosk. I am not exactly a social butterfly and like very many people. Yet I also feel we either embrace what is happening and or lie down and roll over to die. Money-less societies, robotic workers, people lost in a virtual reality….you have to dig out your own nest and make it what you can. This ideology of a millennial group mindset, “You owe us everything!”, is a bad moment in the worlds existence. An intentional mindset that has exceeded what we expected to happen. We raised them and or actually tried not to raise them and so many youth are lost. Parents are responsible for the children and their morals and actions are a continuation of parental input from even before birth…
Life is very short actually and we are always on the downhill run to death…
Maybe it is what has to be?
King Corona Virus
If you contemplate the facts; I am old enough to have rolled from the 50’s to now. That encompasses 70 years of our history. I am old enough to realize that the changes have always been happening. The basic issue that I see is that it is not any single entities entirely at fault, yet we are being driven to pick sides and point fingers at everything around us. We are being overwhelmed by the Little Hitlers and Tiny Napoleons. Where it will end? Not in my lifetime…
But I do know that King Corona is a happy virus, he has been given notoriety beyond his abilities…
We are evolving for good or bad and sometimes you just have to roll the window down and enjoy the ride…
And Sveta has been waiting for a response to her application. yesterday she got that response and now she is making up her mind as to what she will do….if she takes the trial vaccine she cannot use the flue vaccine and she will have to change her movements for a while. She has to report on a consistent basis as to the results of the test. She also found out that 25% of those taking the vaccine will get a placebo…
I think that the placebo thingy is the biggest question she had, but I explained to her what and why a placebo part of the testing is very important. I support her in literally all things she does and this testing of the vaccine is no different. I am proud of my girl and it looks like she will go through with the testing…
Not this Tuesday from today, but next Tuesday after, Svetochka gets a medical check up and if that is all good, will start the testing of the King Corona Vaccine…

In that last few weeks there have been a couple of cases of what Russians take for granted and people in the USA would not comprehend. 1. Sveta has a friend who has cancer & 2. Russians will not pay for anything to do with the Corona Vaccine…
1. Bone cancer is bad news: But life is not always a bowl of cherries, for those pits get in the way at times. In my world that I grew up in, cancer, like a heart attack can be financially devastating. I have had both six heart attacks and a brain tumor. I know how bad things get when you are not blessed with low deductibles and decent healthcare. Even with so called healthcare, it can get very very bad financially at times…
To make this simple; Sveta’s friend will be cared for at home (that means all care), get the best chemo therapy that is available (best in the world available) and she will not pay a single cent or in this case a single ruble to go through all this treatment…
It is amazing to me being from America, that doctors, nurses and specialists come to you if you desire to be treated. Even I as an outsider can have a doctor come to treat me. I would pay for it, because I am not a Russia, but they would not hesitate to save my life first and foremost. The cost would be very minor for “my” care in Russia. I have talked about this many times on this blog….
It is as with everywhere. Russians many times do not comprehend what it is like not having healthcare. So they grumble at times about their healthcare. Yet, here is a struggling Russian example. A mother of three kids, husband is dead and her kids are taken care of, she gets disability to pay the bills and she gets the finest healthcare available in her home…
I will pray for Sveta’s friend and hope that a miracle happens. The doctors are positive about it all and really that is all you can go on at this point. At least she does not have to sell the children and mortgage the home to get it done. That is a huge pressure relief off anyone’s back….and that translates into better recovery…
2. Another interesting issue recently. Russians will not pay for the Corona Vaccine. It would not even be considered for a Russian citizen to pay for it. they will not be forced to take it. But it will be offered as is the flue vaccine free of cost forever. Yes, for me as an outsider, I will have to pay and it will be a very small amount of money. There is never any thoughts of ripping the people off for profits in the Russian healthcare….maybe the localized vendor selling his wares is a rip off, but not for things country wide as in a vaccine and other healthcare issues. Interesting thought: It is Russian Tax money that pays for this vaccine and thus Russians have already paid, yet they are no expected to pay again and again for such things. That is how it is suppose to work….your tax money for you when it is needed!
Just some thoughts this morning as I wake up. I will watch as Sveta makes her decision on the trial vaccine and realize that if she does, it is better that I am here in the Tiny Russian Village. That leaves her free to deal with her issues and basically only her issues.This has been hard on her. She has had to deal with the family and make sure they all have food and the care they need. Her mom and her uncle are both late 80’s and she has been very attentive to their needs, as well as her own son and his family…
When her trial of the vaccine is done, I will be going home to be with her in Moscow? Maybe I should say, we will try to have me get home!
I was, seriously and besides I need my coffee. It is not very likely that I will not drink just two cups of coffee today. Okay, (fact is) it is certain I will drink three cups of coffee today…
We never get facts:
We always get probabilities, odds, chance, possibilities…
Whatever way you spin it, it’s trash talking….by the media and by the politicians. Trash talking as an individual about the neighbor is wrong in all ways, but when a whole country/government does it as a normality of speaking. Then we have fallen into the pit of disparage…
“most likely…”: more likely than not : probably It will most likely rain tomorrow. But then again it may not rain…

There are no cases of facts anymore. It is never a provable fact that Russia did it, China did it, Iran did it, Syria did it, Suzy Q did it….speculation is not a fact (Speculation, is an opinion without firm evidence.) and not admissible in a court of law…
Next time your favorite politician and or your most hated politician spouts as he or she is speculating about something….listen to the words being used. Their words are specific to allowing them to say how bad something is and or how good something is, yet never actually say, “It is a fact!” They know if they say that and caught, they will suffer and thus they try their best to skirt around the facts to begin with. Facts are facts: not how you present them and or not present them…

And it is always similar to something we never proved in the first place and yet we say things like, “The attack is similar to what Iran, Russia and China did in 2016 elections!” Yet, I have never seen proof they did anything, yet, we just acted like they did it and now are doing it again…
Similar: having a resemblance in appearance, character, or quantity, without being identical.
That means it is not a fact, it is just likely, probably, could be, maybe, kinda like something we lied about years ago….you believed us, “Right?”
The point is:
If we had the facts and proof? Then we would not have to “likely” lie to cover our “likely” lies…

PS: Lets not even go to when we use a picture to prove something, taken by a satellite and it is so grainy that you could not tell if the vehicle is a 59 Chevy or a tank. Yet Google can capture an image of a woman sunbathing topless and all details are available. What is up with that? Maybe we need to use Google images to make our evidence case? Or maybe we should ask, “Why?”
My Huawei Mate 30 came with Google installed (by someone). I immediately put the phone back to original and set it up as Huawei wanted it. I had bought it used, actually hardly used, but still a good deal because of that. I have been Google free for awhile now and it has been easy to do…
I use Huawei Mail app and find it works perfect, I use “Here We Go” Maps and it works perfect, Viber to talk with Svetochka works perfect, Duck Duck Go as search works perfect, Huawei Gallery perfect, Geo Tracker to map my walks perfect, in fact I have found as good if not better apps to replace any and everything Google…
The Google I do use is by browser….Gmail works just fine in my Duck Duck Go browser, YouTube works great in the same browser and other than that, I do not use Google, except an occasional search to expand my desire to see how bad Google twists the data and after using Duck Duck Go search, Google definitely targets your search to meet their needs and agendas, not yours…
People who just act like being without Google is the end of the world:
I ask, “Why?” and I get stared at like I have devil horns growing out of my head. The same way I get stared at when I ask, “Why?” about the iPhone….I also ask, “Why?” about Android and many other things if you know me well enough. I think Android is great, but when Huawei gets “HarmonyOS” in full swing….I will switch to that and expand my knowledge…
So having lived exclusively with no Google apps on my phone, I can say that the alternatives are at least as good, if not better than Google Apps. I would go as far to say that without Google Apps, your battery life is unbelievable and I am able to go days without charging the phone…

The Huawei Mate 30:
Is without a doubt in my mind the best phone I have ever had. Probably the main thing about it is the signal strength. I live in a very remote area of Russia. I watch other people with their phones and they walk around and stand in the middle of someone’s yard as they try to access e-mail and such. Using an iPhone here in the Tiny Russian Village is really Russian Roulette. My Huawei gets 3 mbs speed as it sits on the shelf in the village home as a modem. I can walk deep into the woods and never loose internet and or signal to make a phone call…
I had to get use to city people walking out here to the Village Monastery and finding them standing near my fence and turning in circles and holding their iPhone in the air to try to get a signal. They were simply lost as to where they were at and I would find them in the backyard trying to get a signal….One woman walk right into the fence as she held her phone as high in the air as she can and trying to talk to someone. “Why?”…
I track my data usage and the phone does not phone home all the time. I leave data on, GPS on constantly and allow e-mail and Viber to constantly notify me. It simply does not try to do any phone home and tell the world what I am doing all the time…
The phone does not allow apps to do anything I do not allow myself. It runs clean and my Huawei Mate 30 is the Chinese version. Global versions do not follow the same rules it seems. Global versions of Android ROM’s are made to work with different criteria and such…
I am thankful that we have smartphones that are being disconnected from Google. I may be in the minority, yet, it is another one of those freedoms and it is my choice. A Google phone is never Google free, even if you delete apps. Yet a phone that is made Google free from the beginning is like a fresh breath of air…
Google sends me e-mails everyday:
E-mails that ask me to sign in, add pictures, where am I, lots of e-mails. They try to tell me how wonderful my past images are doing, how much I am missed and whatnot’s constantly….I even get, these kinda, You Know Someone is using your account in Moscow, Russia…

Sometimes I look up and there are ten monkey birds throwing all the water out and let me move one inch and they fly away. Like they know I just want to take a video and or picture of them….well this birdbrain thought I was not watching. I stood in the house and watched. Then I was able to get a short video of the little one as he frolics in his personal bath…
