The government is coming up with a plan to support Russia’s economy, over the coronavirus situation. It provides for the creation of a fund of 300 billion rubles ($4.1 billion in US dollars), tax breaks for businesses dealing with the virus issue and paid sick leave for quarantined individuals, for which some businesses will not be able to keep paying regular salary…
I talked this morning about Sveta going to have to self-quarantine and this will become the norm in Russia…
BEIJING (Sputnik) – Beijing calls for lifting Iran sanctions as the Islamic republic fiercely struggles to combat the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) outbreak, the Chinese Foreign Ministry said on Monday.
“China urges countries involved to immediately lift the relevant sanctions against Iran to avoid further damage to the Iranian economy and people’s lives,” the ministry’s spokesman Geng Shuang said.
Keeping sanctions in force at a time when the fight against the virus in Iran “has entered a crucial stage” would be antihuman, he added.
The diplomat warned that the restrictions would get in the way of the United Nations and other organisations providing assistance to virus-hit Iran.
“Beijing will continue providing assistance to Tehran based on the needs of the Iranian side and its own capabilities, and we also call on the international community to cooperate with Iran to ensure public health security at a regional and global level,” he stressed, noting that China had already sent humanitarian medical supplies and experts to help Iran.
According to the Iranian health ministry, 1,053 new cases of Covid-19 infection have been reported in the country in the past 24 hours.
Starting to think this isn’t about a virus but a western (mainly), yet world financial reset. This week will tell a lot. If they “quarantine” the USA, then halt financial market activity, and then start talking about a global depression, then we’ll see the media conversation switch to a world digital currency. We’re watching something planned/devised unfold and it has nothing to do with us peons, except we must endure what is dealt us as cards…
Sveta is tea and I am coffee…
Went to Globus for the last time for awhile:
I picked up items that will be needed for about four months of semi-isolation. Things like new batteries for the exercise bike, so that Svetochka and I can exercise and try to stay healthy. That kind of stuff…
The reason that this has happened is that this weekend, Sveta has been set up to work from home. Sveta works for the Gazprom Bank and she is a vital key to keeping the bank running. Sveta is the person responsible for the Gazprom’s servers…
The vital employees that are able to stay away from work and do their job from home are now all on Citrix Workspace and she will in a few days be isolated at home with me….poor Svetochka!
Therefore, it has hit home and the SWHTF soon… (Lets hope I am wrong!)
Russians are taking their children to the villages and dachas. Lots of the moms and children are gone right now….playgrounds are empty. This morning it was 99% men shopping and we looked at each other in silence and you could see the look of, “Is this real?”
I knew when Svetochka’s boss at Gazprom was pushing for her to get set up on Citrix, that life has changed and we have to change and adapt. Most likely forever…
Sveta is going to her uncle today and take multiple loads of groceries to him. Then tomorrow he has to go to the doctor and the next day she will try to convince her mom to stock food. Her mother believes that the government will save her, while I agree that Russia is vastly superior to what the US will do, I am not able to put all our apples in the same basket…
I also think that Sveta will try to go to see her grandkids one last time this weekend and then it will be home bound for us both. Sveta needs to take masks, sanitizer and stuff to her son’s, they have not even cared to do anything at all. Just blowing it off. The good thing about them is that they are living very isolated and not in the big city of Moscow…
I do not know what to say about my family in America:
I have tried the last few days to contact them and no one responds. Most likely they decided that I am worthless and changed all numbers and emails to keep me from contacting them. They made their choice and I made mine and my family is here in Russia now. It is Svetochka’s family that needs our help….you can only deal one thing at a time and Sveta reminded me of that last night…
Sveta is a smart girl…
Britain is a test ground for isolating the elderly:
“Death toll leaps and forces Johnson to act” is the headline in the Sunday Times. The paper says Prime Minister Boris Johnson is accelerating plans to buy up beds in private hospitals and potentially make the elderly and vulnerable self-isolate – possibly for months.
It reports the strict new measures could be brought into force this week – a fortnight earlier than medics and scientists had originally expected.
The front page of the Sunday Express also homes in on the implications for older citizens. “Over-70s face stay at home order” is the headline as it details what it describes as a “dramatic plan to save lives”.
The move comes, the paper says, as Britain is “rocked” by the increase in deaths. It suggests the new rules will also apply to anyone under 70 with pre-existing medical conditions.
I suspect that we will see this happen the world over and it will be expanded to younger than 70 people…
Get ready!
I am very disappointed:
In what I am seeing as mainly a western youth response to what is happening. It seems that online, we have developed a huge following of youth that, “OK Boomer!” to everything said to them and they feel that the death of the elderly is a good thing. They do not want to support us and do not care about us, for their wants and needs come first…
Talk about making a bed and having to lay in it?
These children were raised by the elders and we nurtured this response over the years…
I do not see this happening in Russia. The children and grandparents are all working their way to the villages and dachas as you read this. There is still much respect for the elderly in Russia. – Thank God!
Yet being elderly, I understand that we are the most expendable…
It is something so simple, yet so bad that no even the most ardent supporter of sanctions should be able to look in the mirror at themselves right now….the world community has to work together to fight this….Yet!
The fact that the USA increases during this time, sanctions upon certain countries, such as Iran, Iraq, Russia, China, Syria, Venezuela and many more. That fact that the US uses her dollar to not help others, but hurt others around the world….Is telling in who is and what is this all about. The world will never trust America again after this is all over. The wind is changing and payback will be hell…
I feel sorry for the normal people in America, just trying to survive their own government…
Yes it can…
Sveta said:
This will be in the history books one day as children learn about it in school!
Yes, world wide history is being altered right now…
Is it good or is it bad?

PS: What is the agenda? – I ask that question of everything we have to deal with when it comes from people higher than us. Such as governments, rich people and mafia wannabes. They are the same you know… (No insult to real mafia intended.)
Trying to cross a border right now looks to be way too big in the issue department. Russia is shutting border after border down with countries and they have to. All the new cases of coronavirus basically are coming from people traveling to countries having the most issues with the virus….Italian traveling Russians, have blessed Russia with a pot full of virus issues, as they come home…
On Friday, St. Petersburg Governor Alexander Beglov told reporters that by that day five coronavirus cases had been registered in the city. Among the patients is a ten-year-old child. All the infected people had travelled abroad. They are being treated in hospital.
I actually have until June to be forced to leave Russia, but we wanted to have a change in the pattern to be able to travel, yes that sounds kinda stupid to think that far ahead right now…
So I got less stupid and will stay home with my sweetie, because my life follows Murphy’s Law…
MOSCOW, March 14. /TASS/. There has been a spike in coronavirus cases in Russia, from 45 to 59 over the past 24 hours, but all the 14 Russians infected with the novel coronavirus travelled to the European Union in the past two weeks, the coronavirus task force told reporters on Saturday. “In the past 24 hours, Russia has confirmed 14 coronavirus cases among the citizens of the Russian Federation. Among them are nine in Moscow, one in the Moscow Region, one in St. Petersburg, two in the Kemerovo Region an
Russia has been working hard to keep ahead of this coronavirus…
MOSCOW, March 15. /TASS/. Test systems for identification of the new coronavirus are available in each Russian region in sufficient quantities, press service of the Russian consumer rights and health control watchdog Rospotrebnadzor said. “Test systems for coronavirus identification are currently available in all constituencies of the Russian Federation. Everyone that traveled to countries where the disease is registered, everyone being in contact with those having the developed illness and everyone with
The MSM does not report news. It simply uses news as a coat stand to hang its propaganda upon.
The West = good. China = bad.
This rank hypocrisy, borne of a desperate liberal need to unnecessarily politicize everything, including the Covid-19 outbreak, has revealed an unflattering truth about ‘The Gray Lady,’ its sobriquet that once conveyed the impression the paper possessed of high virtue. No longer.
“China May Be Beating the Coronavirus But At a Painful Cost,” the NYT tweeted one day last week, flagging up its report that the Chinese lockdown and quarantine, which covered 60 million people, coincidentally the same as Italy’s entire population, “has come at great cost to people’s livelihoods and personal liberties.”
Then just 20 minutes later, up popped the same publication’s tweet on the European situation, announcing “Italy Locks Down Much of the Country’s North Over the Coronavirus.” So, did the Times condemn this as an attack on civil liberties by a nasty totalitarian regime?
Not quite. Because while at the time of the report, last Saturday, when only the north of Italy was affected (since expanded to include the entire country), there was a clear change of tone.
According to The Times: “By taking such tough measures, Italy, which is suffering the worst outbreak in Europe, sent a signal that restrictive clampdowns at odds with some of the core values of Western democracies may be necessary to contain and defeat the virus.”
So, lemme get this right. Restrictive clampdown in Italy? Necessary. Restrictive clampdown in China? A cure worse than the disease.
The MSM does not report news. It simply uses news as a coat stand to hang its propaganda upon.
This is why the west hates RT…

To fight the coronavirus, China placed nearly 60 million people under lockdown and instituted strict quarantine and travel restrictions for hundreds of millions of others. Its campaign has come at great cost to people’s livelihoods and personal liberties. https://t.co/Awj873ZKdB

Really interesting as I sit here in Russia and being an American and regardless of what you think about if Russia is free or not. Regardless of if you like Snowden or not. He is running around Russia free. I run around Russia, drive around Russia. Travel around Russia and find myself much freer than when I have been in the US.
Snowden would be in prison in the US. I have been in jail in the US all for expressing my personal opinion about subjects that I was told to shut up about. I left when it was obvious that freedom was a farce in America…
The Freedom House article shows Russia as not free! Yet if Assange had made it to Russia instead of the UK, he would be living at least out of prison, as Snowden is doing. I ask myself would Manning be a girl right now? I feel that he was pushed as the only way out of permanent solitary confinement to either change or else…
Doesn’t matter either way. What matters is that Russia is free, yes somethings are as with everywhere, like wearing damn seat belts as you drive and turn them damn headlights on for safety stupidity irritate me. But I am free enough to say what I want when I want and I find that increasingly harder to do in the US.
It seems that western think tanks, media and whatnot’s have become so corrupted with propaganda and love of money that truth is just a dirty word anymore.
The map above is telling!
Basically west is green and purple is east and yellow is to be decided…
Oh, to piss you off a bit more; Guns do not make you free. Well unless you are willing to use them, before they take them from you. But regardless, that gun does not mean freedom. For many and I mean many Russians have hunting weapons. Hunting is big in Russia. Wild Boar, deer, ducks, geese whatever. I spend much of my life in a Russian village and believe me they have weapons. Maybe just shotguns and double bore rifles, but they are weapons.
Yet we say they are not free as we use guns as a standard of freedom for ourselves…
Also; I am freer than you are in the western world. I know, I have lived here in Russia since 2006. I found peace and harmony and very much a stable society!
Snowden has been here since 2013 and while I wonder about his validity on many things. He is free to travel and live a peaceful life in Russia. It is just right that he can. My opinion of Snowden is my opinion and he deserves a life if what he did is truth and we do know that there is much truth in what Assange and Snowden and Manning have said and done.
Just look at their freedoms as they all have a different path to deal with the US backlash…
Assange – No Freedom prison UK (Likely to die in prison!)
Snowden – Free to roam Russia… Girlfriend lives with him. He writes and works in Russia. Hmm!
Manning – Prison USA, Became a girl, Prison, tried to kill itself and now once again let free to start the process over again. (Permanently damage goods in its case!)
Got up at 4 a.m. and sipped a cup of coffee here in Russia. Svetochka is at her moms and I have the makings of a trip to leave Russia in my mind. Kyrgyzstan looks like the best bet. Fly into Bishkek international airport stay a few hours and come back to Russia. I would prefer to stay a few days, but with the coronavirus issue….best to play it safe. maybe just go alone, for if quarantined on the way back at the Russian border, it is just me and not Sveta who suffers…
It would be fun for Sveta and I both to go and spend a few days looking around, yet things change too fast right now. Even though Kyrgyzstan has not had a case yet of the virus. That they know of….looks like next week I play the cards I have been dealt…
These are the tidbits of life that make life interesting!
I thought the US was oil independent due to all the fricking & fracking with oil going on?
“Based on the price of oil, I’ve also instructed the Secretary of Energy to purchase at a very good price large quantities of crude oil for storage in the U.S. strategic reserve,” Trump said as he addressed the nation from the Rose Garden on Friday. ~~
“We’re going to fill it right up to the top, saving the American taxpayer billions and billions of dollars, helping our oil industry [and furthering] that wonderful goal — which we’ve achieved, which nobody thought was possible — of energy independence.” ~~
Why the sudden slamming on the brakes and going full reverse?
Because it is going to get much worse before it gets better and even the USA has to face reality at some point. You will find that the oil reserves will be filled with foreign oil and not our fracking junk lubricant…
Fracked oil is worthless unless mixed with the real stuff and they know this…
I am going to walk in a bit. Stop at a few stores and gather anything that I feel would be useful for prolonged home style quarantine. I know that Globus will be a ghost town this morning. Russians have already stocked and like I said weeks ago, “I hope you are stocking also?”
China has reversed the virus issue and Europe has become the new hot point…
I suspect that America will be right there trying to be number one also real soon…
China is pissed, Iran is vivid and until very recent the US tried its best to point fingers and cause turmoil with these countries. I have never seen the lies that fly, like the lies that are flying now. One thing that the US can be proud of is having the most obedient and well paid media on earth and they are using it to the best advantage that they can…
It will not be enough and just when you thought that you can only sink to the gutter, you find yourself going into the storm drain and ending up in the sewer…
I hope that Putin does stay as president for life. Russians deserve it and need it. Turmoil is the worst thing and American style politics are chaos in a hand basket. The Russian constitutional changes are very necessary, the Russian constitution was based on western constitutional standards and these have been found out to be detrimental to any and all societies….unless you go way back in the USA and grab the original constitution and abide by it, you will find that the US does not resemble what our founding fathers envisioned. Is that good or bad? Up to you my friend…
Cookie cutter rules and laws do not work the world over!
