World As Boza See It!

Boza the Russian Dog…

Today I was walking the dog, his name is Boza! He is half German Shepard and half Wire Haired Terrier. He is less than half the size of a regular German Shepard!

Boza has a good outlook on life. His outlook is simple, Just have as much fun as you can everyday. He loves the Village trips, he loves my cooking, he loves to go for walks and he loves to just lay around and goof off. Most of all he loves the one person that I love more than anyone else, my Wife…

Now Boza is Russian, He understands many Russian words, (more than I do). He understands many English words (I know more English than he does). I think he is pretty smart. He is almost fluent in two languages. (I can not say the same)

I watch Boza, the world to him is full of wonderful things. He chases bugs. He chases birds. He wants to be friends with everyone, people dogs, cats, bugs, frogs, toads, and anything else that will be his friend. He does not have a mean bone in his body. The world is a play ground for Boza…

I wonder why we as humans have all but lost this zest for the World. I think that I could learn something from Boza, I need to stop and check out the beetle that is crawling in the grass. I might live longer!!!

I have a rough time in my life, I am a type A personality. (get it done and get it done now). I have had multiple heart attacks and multiple stents put in. I worked 365 days a year, at 16 to 20 hours a day, for many years. It almost killed me! I am slowing down on purpose and watching Boza! When he chases something in the grass, I chase it with him! 🙂

Maybe this Russian dog will teach me to live longer and have a fuller life.

Windows to Russia Update… (October 19th, 2011)

Looks like it is time to update on the happenings with Windows to Russia. Most happenings are behind the scene as the template has stayed stable for a long time now. The cosmetics of the template have changed slightly but the coding has stayed much the same for a awhile. It took a lot of learning by me to assemble a WordPress template from scratch and this is my final product. I call it Simplicity (based off the core of a template called manifest) and it is about as light of a template and still function properly with WordPress…

Ukraine still blocks the site and that seems to be permanent. Ukraine government just does not like Windows to Russia…

The Chinese are now officially number two on the countries that view Windows to Russia and I see that China could really take number one spot with in two months. The Chinese search engine Baidu has really increased Windows to Russia’s traffic…

I received two e-mails last night. (Actually received many more but these two I will talk about!) It is strange on how far apart in thinking that these e-mails were. The first one (as well as the second one) was in conjunction with my article: Preachers of Democracy Stutter in Russia Over American Repressions…

The first e-mail said basically you are correct and that they knew people leaving America because it was getting so bad. I myself know of people trying to do the same thing and have many friends struggling to survive now in America. I also know many that are doing great in America and have to say that it is not all bad. But it is far from good like it has been in the past…

The second e-mail was a rip roaring hum dingier! It told me about how worthless I am and that the world can just take the American middle finger up its ***! Normally at this time the delete button is activated and away go troubles down the drain… 🙂

But I saw a statement farther down in the letter. It said, “Democracy is Gods Politics! We are passing the word of God through Democracy! Those who oppose Democracy oppose Gods will! America is Gods country and we will rule the earth! We are the chosen ones and all others shall perish! We will succeed where other Empires have failed!” (Really kinda scary if you think about it.)

Hum… That really is a radical way to think. I see a lot of this type of responses all over the internet. There are so many comments on news sites and blogs all over the world that pass a similar message. But yet we only seem to worry about the radical Muslim message. Why is that? The letter I got and get all the time is from the USA and they are very brutal, radical, degrading and hateful…

Next in my thinking’s today is about comments. I think that the information above will explain good enough why comments are non existent on Windows to Russia. I have had a wonderful time writing again because I have stopped being terrorized by comments. I have something to say and it is your choice if you want to read it or not. This is not a social gathering and if you really need to contact me then try the e-mail in contact. But I have to warn you that I will decipher the e-mail and decided if it is real or not. Most do not make it past the spam filter in the first place. I do apologize to someone who really desires to comment but that is less than a half percent of a percent. The rest of the comments were simply a troll or spam to leave a link. That is what most bloggers are about. They comment to leave a link and they really do not have any desire to care about what you write. Readers who do not have websites to try to link too, come and read and leave as quietly as they came. I have thousands upon thousands of those readers a day. Mostly the presence of paid trolls governed comments and that just is not worth the trouble. Plus I had a huge degrading Washington DC group of trolls that made life interesting. I have sliced these scum off at the roots. There are more readers than ever from Washington DC now that I have have done that…

A last word on comments. There are sites that have many good comments and usually those sites are ones that help people to fix something or to learn something. But a site like Windows to Russia just instill a curious combination of hate and jackass. The blend of Evil Russia and someone who likes Russia like me and then to compare Russia to America at the root of things! Just causes people (Americans) to get their panties in a twist… 🙂

Next is Coffee and News domains of Windows to Russia. They have grown a tremendous amount and both being news based it has really pleased me at their growth. On some days they are able to rival Windows to Russia in page views. That is no small feat for those sites…

As I said while we were on vacation in Turkey that Windows to Russia has reached the 3000 article mark. I remember the first 100 articles and that seemed like a huge accomplishment and at the time it was. I was very new at this blogging thing and still wondering why I was doing it. Then I receive an e-mail and it says something as simple as:

“Joo got it”   (Mexican accent here).

Then I smile and think of how many times my workers in America down South said that. That is when I know why I write this blog…

Thanks to all my readers… 🙂

Time to talk about Iran and that alledged Plot of Death…

Mainstream Media

If anything was to be considered phony then the alleged Iran plot to kill the Saudi ambassador to the US and blow up both the Saudi and Israeli embassies has to be the icing on phony mainstream media cake. But that does not stop the warmongers and drum beaters from using it, for all it is worth…

The only thing that I saw good out of this whole shenanigans was that the people did not believe the bull as much as in the past. Could it be that we are getting tired of lies? It seemed to me that it did not take long and the falsifications of the story by an Investigating Instigating FBI. Just had a ring of stupidity that even a three year old child would scowl at when you told him the story…

Then when I heard what Iran said, “The US had created the recent hype to overshadow the spread of the Occupy Wall Street protests in its cities!” I had to agree but will add that also the US is trying to test the waters and see if they can get away with attacking Iran…

I like this quote because it is very true:

“Those who are capable of tyranny are capable of perjury to sustain it.”
Lysander Spooner

What a world we live in! I thought back to all my history that I have read about and experienced. I realized that nothing has changed under the sun. We have been killing each other for centuries. We have been enslaving each other for all known time. We have lied, cheated, deceived and controlled as long as man has records. We are always in an endless loop and all that changes is the toys we have to kill and amuse ourselves with…

So one day those war drums will beat even stronger over Iran. For we all truly believe that Iran is evil. Just like we see Russia, Venezuela, North Korea, Libya and so so so so many more. Why do we see them as evil? Is it because all of us have been to these countries and seen first hand how terrible and evil they are. Or is it because we are told everyday of our lives that they are evil and should be eradicated or saved?

I for one am glad, that I moved to this evil country called Russia… 🙂

Joy to the World: Reports the Western Media and Government on Libya…

Keith Harmon Snow, a war correspondent and independent investigator, believes that killing Gaddafi would be an illegal targeted assassination and that there is obviously a hidden agenda behind Hilary Clinton’s apparently spontaneous visit…

“There is a lot of fighting in Libya at present and almost everything we’ve been told, everything we’ve seen, is false. We are getting just a complete propaganda story of what’s going on in Libya,” he said. “Why is she there? Clearly to make it look to the American public like we are in absolute control of Libya. Cover up the atrocities, put a white, clean, shiny, happy, lovely face on the death and destruction.”…

Well – This is a good interview and he really says it like it is. Nothing but the truth and cut to the quick…

It is interesting but since the illegal assassination of an American for extremist views, ordered by Obama himself. I look at other Americans all over the world and wonder who is next. If you express the truth, your demise may be on order. It use to be good fantasy to talk about assassinations and such. But when you become a target because of your beliefs and such…

I am just saying what is going through many minds at the present over a cup of delicious coffee… 🙂

Interesting tidbit of information: US Secretary of State Hilary Clinton says Washington wants to see the former Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi captured or killed. (But – but – but – but – I thought we were never in this to just murder Qaddafi.) Have you ever noticed how the truth comes out but it is always much later after we lie for months and months? Then no one listens to the truth because some other new lie is in the headlines…

Wake up world and smell the coffee…

Preachers of Democracy Stutter in Russia Over American Repressions…

You have to smile at the photos. They look so much like pictures from Russia and China. Does the US realize how hypocritical they have been all these years?

The blog sphere is lit up like a 1,000,000 watt candle in Russia. The criers of democracy are stuttering and the told you so’s are saying, Well – “I told you so!”…

The blow to the mental state of democracy in the foreign world is amazing. The big question is, “Why does the beacon of democracy suppress and arrest protestors? What has become of our dream the USA?”

To a few in Russia the dream of democracy was just that. A dream that they had envisioned in their head. This dream mainly was centered on the fact that America was a place that no one got arrested for voicing their opinion and no one got told that they could not assemble when and where they want too… 🙂 That part makes me smile…

What do you think that the assemblies in Russia are always about. It has nothing to do with anything but a desire to assemble illegally or legally, anytime they feel like. Just like in America…

Now a barrage of told you so’s in Russia are popping up and telling the very small but big mouthed group of normal protesters that assemble against the law every month, such as the 31 group in Moscow. They always assemble on the 31st of the month to protest and show that Russia is not a democracy…

Well I have to tell you that these groups are stuttering now. They have been let down by the great almighty America and the dream of assembly with no repercussion is dead in the water…

The Eastern press is quietly, efficiently and methodically passing the word about an America that represses, depresses and silences her people, because America is trying to cover up how bad it really is. But now that this uprising in America (Called the America Autumn an equivalent to Arab Spring ) is growing and spreading to parts of Europe and such. The word is out that maybe, just maybe something is really wrong with democracy. Maybe it is time to question the validity of democracy and rethink strategies all over the world…

Myself I am shocked at what I am starting to see appear as videos and written word about the Wall-Street issue. I remember that I watched a video about a month ago. It was of a group of women that had been corralled. A officer of the law walked right up to them and over a barricade fence sprayed pepper spray into their eyes. It has gotten worse from that point and the arrests are becoming common place…

As an American I will say that repercussions could get  deadly and the minute that one of these officers uses his hand gun on a barricaded woman. Then you may see the estimated 194,000,000 weapons in the closets of Americans come out into the open. It is a fact that gun sales and ammo sales are at an all time high in America. People are getting prepared…

Watch the video. It was a very bad thing and sooner or later people are going to say enough is enough…

So with videos like this and many many more that are popping up. Along with the real pictures of what is happening and the shear numbers of people that have come out in force in America. Plus as the wave of protests have included Europe…

The democracy supporters in Russia have seen what many have tried to tell them. Demons live all over the world, even in their precious gold plated America…

I am saddened by what I am seeing and then I thought back to what Gerald Celente said: “When people lose everything and have nothing left to lose, they lose it!”

Is he right? Many will argue that Americans still have it better than everyone else in the world. I agree but I think that just makes it worse. People look at only their place on the planet. Americans may be better off than Somalians but if they feel like they are worse off and being cheated then they will actually explode with more vehemence in the end…

Russians are interesting and this Wall-Street escapade has caught their attention. I have tried to ignore it and enjoy life on this side of the world. But it looks like it is coming to a theater soon near you and you better get ready… 🙁

Crossing the Russian Border by Airline and the new/old Migration Card…

I cross the Russian border a lot. But I usually use a car or a train to cross the border of Russia. But this time going to Turkey we flew and when we returned, I discovered some changes to crossing the border. Remember these changes do not apply to car, train and ship crossing. Just when flying by international airliner…

When you cross the Russian border. Russia has you fill out a migration card. Actually it is not a card but a piece of very poor quality paper like newsprint paper. But this paper must be kept the whole time you are in Russia and please do not destroy or loose it…

Now your guess is as good as mine about what Russia does with these migration cards. In the 5 years that I have been here the only time that I have ever needed it was to register myself in Russia per the law and return it when I cross the border to leave. In fact they hardly glance at them when I cross the border and they get wadded up and stuffed in a side coat pocket every time by the border guard. In fact I am not sure if they are not even thrown away at the end of the guards shift… 🙂

But you must fill one out to enter Russia and you must have it in original form when you leave the country and that is that and that is final…

But now to the blessing of modern technology and Russian ingenuity. When we cross the border by international airplane. We do not have to fill out a card anymore. They scan your passport, enter the visa information and wally wally bing bang, a little printer spits out an migration card and all you have to do is sign it. Wow I thought that is great and so much better. I hated filling out that card on a moving transportation type vehicle. The road pothole, track wobble or air-pocket always appears as I am trying to print my information. Then I stopped and thought of something…

Russia is going to all the trouble of installing expensive printers. They have designed software to utilize the old migration form in a printer. They cause the border passport control to type all your information in. But they succeed in making me happy because I do not have to fill out a migration card…

I hate to tell Russia this but what would make this expat happy is to get rid of the worthless migration card forever. Then stop the bull with registration and try to modernize by minimizing the trash. Then take all that money spent on brand new fancy printers to print out an official migration card on cheap paper and give it too the homeless people in Russia who can barely feed themselves…

I have a saying that I use often, “Can’t see the forest for the trees!” It seems that governments in this world are stuck into that type of vision no matter where you go. Somethings just do not make sense…

But I do thank Russia for making my life easier when crossing the border…

Who Will be Russian President – Ya says Putin…

THE KREMLIN, MOSCOW. With President-Elect Dmit...
Medvedev and Putin

Russia is not seeking the status of superpower, but it will defend its interests “to the utmost”, Prime Minister Vladimir Putin said.

He warned against a disparaging attitude “to anyone, including small states”.

“A disparaging attitude to, say, Andorra, or any other small country would be unacceptable to us. I have been practicing martial arts all my life and I have a certain philosophy with regard to my partner: no matter what he is, you must treat him respectfully,” Putin said in an interview with three federal television channels on Monday, October 17.

“As for our critics abroad, and I mean critics who speak about our imperial ambitions, what can I say? We see what is happening, for example, in Europe: integration there has reached such a level that was unimaginable even in the Soviet Union,” Putin said in an interview with three federal television channels on Monday, October 17.

He noted that “the number of mandatory decisions of the European Parliament has exceeded the number of mandatory decisions that were adopted by the Supreme Soviet of the USSR for Soviet republics”.

“They can do anything there and it’s okay. But we have imperial ambitions. To all these critics, and they are certainly unfair critics, I can say the following: You know what? Mind our own business – fight growing inflation and soaring state debt, excess weight after all. Get down to work,” the prime minister said.

He stressed that there are no plans to recreate the Soviet Union. “Russia has no interest in that today. It is not interested to assume excessive risks and bear excessive loads for the countries that for some reasons are trailing behind us in certain fields,” Putin said.

At the same time, he made it clear that Russia would be ready to carry its share of the burden and responsibility for expanding the common economic space.

If elected president in 2012, Vladimir Putin will continue along the road President Dmitry Medvedev has been traveling for the last four years.

“If the voters, citizens, our people accept the configuration of power we have proposed, I, for example, will not make any radical changes in what has been done by Dmitry Anatolyevich Medvedev as president of our country,” Putin said in an interview with three federal television channels on Monday, October 17.

“We will have to see how all this works, but frankly speaking I see nothing revolutionary there either,” he added.

“As president Medvedev acted according to his own understanding of what is good and what is bad, and according to the situation in the country,” Putin said.

“We have identical positions on strategic questions. But we are not one person. We are different people and at some point Dmitry Anatolyevich decided to take steps towards humanizing certain aspects of our life. This is his right as head of state,” the prime minister said.

“We will look together at how this works. I think these are steps to develop our political system,” Putin said.

Dmitry Medvedev will be able to implement his ideas announced during his presidency when he becomes head of government in 2012, Prime Minister Vladimir Putin said.

He stressed that during his term of office President Dmitry Medvedev has transferred the solution of critical national development issues from office discussions to practical steps. These fundamental things are stated in the national development program up to 2020 and include development of democratic institutions, diversification, and economic modernization.

“It is very important to have tools for carrying on this work,” Putin added.

“If Dmitry Anatolyevich [Medvedev] leads the United Russia [election] list, if people vote for this list and if a capable parliament is elected, then, relying on this parliament, he will be able to form a capable government in order to implement the program he has put on the practical agenda,” Putin said.

Taxi Taxi Taxi Whispers the Gypsy…

It is always good to get home and it was no exception this time for us. Boza was so excited to see us that he couldn’t stop wiggling his tail for an hour. It wagged so much that I thought it was going to fall off. Everything was good at home and we still had a place to live. That is always a good sign… 🙂

I have a soft spot for Russia in my heart and I really think that Moscow will be my home for me for the rest of my life. While I see Sveta and I moving to another country in the far future. We will only be living in a new place as secondary home to our flat in Moscow. A place to spend the Winters if we need to escape the deep cold of Russia…

I myself am still trying to recover from the trip. One of the many things that have changed for me in life since my heart attacks, is travel by long distance flights is hard on me. It use to be a piece of cake. Now the cake falls on me! But loving to travel is in my blood and a little discomfort is just okay with me… 🙂

I have to talk about the gypsy taxi situation in Russia with my thinking’s over a cup of coffee today…

If you are up to date on Russia, then you know that an attempt has been made to governmental controlled taxi service in Russia. It is a long story but to make it short – the story has failed…

As you exit the airline terminal with your bags in Moscow you use to be slaughtered with a thousand yelling gypsy taxi drivers demanding that you use them to whisk you away to your dream place in Moscow. Well, they are all still there! Except they do not yell and demand. They whisper and follow you. They even beg you to use them. There also was many new signs in English that said beware of taxi drivers who are not certified. They might rip you off and could be dangerous…:)

I was able to watch the Russian bureaucracy at work over the taxi situation. I sat and waited for Sveta to do some phone calls and such. I was watching a official taxi kiosk at work, as I sat. The woman who was behind the counter either rudely shooed away the people (foreigners) or ignored the people who tried to inquire about a taxi ride. She was very unpleasant and very Russian. Did not speak any language but Russian so “Tuck luff Charley.”

I felt sorry for the foreigners that were being rebuffed by the governmental approved taxi service, that had signs everywhere warning you about them damn gypsies trying to steal your money and then ending up being driven right into the arms of the very scoundrel that system was trying to scandalize…

We always call our taxi and use no one else. We have been using the same taxi service for years. I saw no difference in what you ensued trying to get a taxi and I actually saw more confusion entailed because of the disservice of the official system. But really what do you expect from a government driven program that is to stop corruption, when the government is the real source of the corruption?

So the system in its attempts to modernize and curb corruption. Has gone from a gaggle of gypsies that attack you loudly (as geese do)! To a quiet attack of gypsies (as a fox does) and a system has been incorporated now, that is even more corrupt and messed up than it was before they tried to remedy it…

Words of wisdom: When you get out of the terminal from your flight. Just remember the words, “spasibo – Net” it means “thank you – No” and that will stop most in there tracks. But slip up with one word of English and you will find that all within ear shot will start to try to speak English to catch your attention. Our should I say they will now whisper English… 🙂

I just love Russia so much and the gypsy taxi is one reason why…

PS: The airport has been resigned with signs in English. I found it very easy to get around now. In fact all of Moscow is becoming resigned with English/Russian signage everywhere. Now that is modernization…

Coffee Thinking’s: Crossing a Border East or West…

The last time Sveta and I crossed a Western Border was a few years back. That was in Europe and I also count Israel as a Western Border. Crossing into a Western country is like crossing into a container with a zip lock seal. That seal will not open until you jump through a whole bunch of hoops, like a dog at the circus…

I remember the first time that I was asked, “What is your purpose here?” That was at the Zurich International airport. I was asked that after going through a scan machine, a explosive sniffer, dogs checking me out, three metal detectors and passport checked 8 times, starting before we got off the plane. I remember looking at this individual and thinking, “Are you stupid or what?” But I expressed a statement that was toned down. I said, “Actually I am on vacation and I am suppose to be having fun! But so far I have failed on the fun part!” He just tried to ignore me and waved me through at that point. All of the above was just a stop over to the next flight. We almost missed that fight because of their stupidity. Could you imagine if we were trying to step across the border out of the international? It was just plain terrible and started a vacation out wrong…

Zurich was such a wonderful experience crossing a border that Sveta and I will never go there again… 🙂

This was several years ago and things have gotten worse. The TSA in America has reduced the American people to nothing more than cattle to follow directions. I do truly believe that I would be arrested if I crossed the USA border now this day. I will not accept anyone frisking me for any reason except if you will arrest me and toss me in jail. If I lived in America right now – I would make one last crossing of the US border and endure that criminal activity, that is being subjected to the people and then I would never go back. (I just crossed an international border in Turkey and was treated with dignity and respect.) The subjection to the government molestation would have a meaning for its ending. I have told you time and time again, I am much freer outside of America than inside of America….

Now lets cross a Eastern border. The last time we crossed an Eastern border was yesterday…

What a breath of fresh air that was compared to the Western world and their idiosyncrasies. It was very simple…

  1. Before we entered the airport we went through a metal detector. Yes, before we were allowed in to the building…
  2. No one asked for passport or anything…
  3. Check in for baggage and tickets was normal and smooth. Passport has to be presented to get tickets…
  4. While holding passport – walk to the Passport Control. Took about 5 minutes and they thanked me for coming to Turkey. I was asked would I come back and replied Yes. I received a huge smile and a thank you again at that point…
  5. Once into the terminal (International zone) our passports were not needed again and were put away. All we need at this point is our boarding pass. Sveta and I ate breakfast and watched the thousands of Russians and Germans buying duty free liquor and I took pictures of the airport. People took pictures everywhere and no one acted like we were conceiving plans of destruction. That led Sveta and I to discuss how calm and peaceful this airport was. No stress and pressure from the system treating you like a criminal…
  6. Flight time! We went through another metal detector at the gate. Simple basic metal detector and no one tried to check our carry on for liquids and actually for anything at all. (I carry liquid spray nitro and no one condemned me for a bottle of liquid!) It was smooth and professional. The security personnel were helpful, smiling and extremely courteous. (People in wheelchairs were helped through by security personnel! {Not made to stand up ever.})
  7. Home to Russia…

I use Turkey as the example for this article. I could easily use Russia for the same article. But due to everyone thinks that I am partial to Russia and her ways. I will put Turkey in the spot light. If you travel the East you will find a whole different world of travel. Fear does not rule on this side of the world…

No one at anytime thought or implied that they should frisk me and stick there hands down my pants to see if I have weapons of mass destruction in my underwear. No one interrogated me and tried to decipher if I was a middle age, balding, heavy set, white man with evil intentions. No one even looked at Sveta as a evil Russian demon. They just love Russians in Turkey and Sveta just waltzes across the border like it is a vassal of Russia…

I was able to think about the border crossing on the flight home from Turkey to Russia. I realized that if people in the West would just stop flying then they would start treating people with respect again. But alas I realize that people in the West are afraid of their own shadow and actually support the fact that they are treated like criminals in a society that use to be able to proclaim “Rule of Law!”

I have had readers in the past try to cut me down over the lack of the rule of law in Russia and I always wondered what planet they live on? But as always they will still think that rule of law is prevalent in America and non existent in the rest of the world. That just is not true and I really feel sorry for people who have never stepped outside of the Western zip lock bag of protection…

So Sveta and I returned from another vacation unscathed by the evils of humanity. Malaysia is one of our next destinations. I have old friends and connection to Malaysia. It extends from my days in food service with universities in America…

Speaking of friends in other countries. Sveta and I made many new friends in Turkey and one in particular was a wonderful guy. He works hard to support his family and he touched our hearts in a great way. We have his phone number and Facebook plus e-mail. We will stay in touch with him. For you see, we will be back to Turkey and it always helps to have a friend waiting where you are going. We help people that we know if they want to come to Russia…

You should travel the world! It is the cheapest bang for the buck, in fun and excitement… 🙂

That is if you can cross your border first without being molested…

Kyle and Sveta

PS: By the way! We landed at Moscow and it was so smooth crossing the border. That is another article, because Russia is changing the way she does things. Now I did not say change for the better but I did say change and you need to know about changes that are happening with Russia border control if you are coming here. So maybe tomorrow we will have an article on new border procedures for Russia… Kyle

Western China-Europe transit highway…

“Western Europe-Western China” highway is of great importance not only for Kazakhstan, but in the global scale as well”, First Deputy Governor of Zhambyl oblast Karim Kokrekbayev has said in an interview to a Kazinform correspondent.

As is known, within this project Kazakhstan plans to build and reconstruct about 2, 500 km of roads. The corridor’s length makes up 8,445 km, 2,787 out of which run through the Kazakhstan’s territory. And how much kilometers are passing through Zhambyl oblast?

The highway will pass seven districts of Zhambyl oblast. They are Zhualy, Zhambyl, Baizak, Turar Ryskulov, Merken, Shu, Kordai. The corridor’s axle will be on the current Almaty-Tashkent-Termez road diverging the territory of Kyrgyzstan and will be of 495,3 km length. The Islamic Development Bank and Asian Development Bank are financing the construction.

The project provides for bypass of all big and medium settlements. Residential estates, fuel filling stations, and other constructions located at the right-of-way will be pulled down, and the owners will be paid compensation of real estate value. About 1,183 ha out of about 1,911 ha of the land allocated for permanent use for the road construction were compensated, bought out and got from the national land fund.

http://www.inform.kz/eng/article/2229691

Also –

Part of the Western China-Western Europe transport corridor will run across Bashkortostan, Russian Transportation Minister Igor Levitin said.

“Bashkortostan has proposed that this section of the road run through the territory of the republic and we have agreed to this proposal. Our estimations show that this route will be optimal in terms of recouping investments made in the road,” he said.

The toll highway will run from Bashkortostan’s border with Tatarstan to its border with the Orenburg Region.

“The republic will be in charge of such issues as the design of the road, allocation of land and provision of favorable terms for the construction,” Bashkortostan President Rustem Khamitov said, pledging support for the project.

As reported earlier, the total cost of building about 2,200 kilometers of the highway in Russia will be about RUB 700bn (approx. USD 22.59bn).

The participants of the international project include the EU, Ukraine, Russia, Kazakhstan and China.
