Sammy the Volga getting a new Engine…

coffee-yummyI had a comment that expressed that Americans probably give lots of donations? 1% of the total donations come from the Americas and that means from the bottom tip of South America to the tundra of North America in Canada. The other 99% comes from the rest of the world…

Europe as a whole is the biggest donator, with Germany in the lead. Russia as a country is right behind Germany and the UK is waltzing around there somewhere. My biggest reader section is the USA! Next is Germany and Britain follows right behind. Therefore, out of readers, the US with its thousands of daily return readers, ignores donations as a whole. Yes, we have had donations come from America, but they are few and far between, per reader…

Case in point; Sammy the Volga is getting a new engine. It has to be done and Sveta and I are scraping the money together to do it, today someone came through. From Russia, a donation has come to put in her new engine…….

Yes! From Russia! The money for Sammy the Volga’s new engine comes from within Russia…

As per policy, no names but a big big thank you!

Sammy will hopefully get a new engine this week or next week at the latest…

Another interesting tidbit; India is the largest Asian area donator. It is surprising and yes we have a solid readership based in India. The Chinese while as large a readership, have never donated anything, but we have had donations from tiny islands all over the world. It is very interesting to track such data. Just like tracking data from who comes to read and for what reason. But it comes in useful at times…

I do thank the world for donations and yes, I may have centered my readership on America, but it is the rest of the world that pays to keep Windows to Russia online and to pay for basic living in Russia…

I said I track data and this is the kind of data that tells me something!

It should tell you something also. Once again people need to think and realize that there is a whole world out there. The world is not stop at the borders of the USA and the world is really doing pretty good and we need to join that world…

Therefore, thank you to all who have donated and we will soon see Sammy’s new engine…

I hope if all goes correctly? But life goes in circles and sometimes things happen…

Every morning birdbrains…

Every morning the birdbrains are watching. They wait in the trees for me to open the birdbrain cafe. They are patient and sit quietly as I fill their buffet with food. In the cherry trees sit the sparrows and in the lilac trees sit the chickadees. This has become normal every morning. They wait until I leave and then as I watch from the door of the house, the war begins…

It was foggy this morning and all I could see were dozens of little dark spots watching as I filled the feeder. They got excited and started to rustle around and then I heard peeps. It sounded as if they were saying, “Your late, hurry up!”

Then when all was safe in their eyes. Down they swooped and it got noisy. The chickadees and sparrows mixed it up and they fought on the fence, on the feeder and on the ground. It soon became aerial attacks and during this whole battle, the food disappeared. Straight into their hungry little mouths…

I give them half a box of food once every morning and they know this. They know that soon it will be gone. I can not afford more and there is tons of seeds all over the fields. It just is a pleasure to feed the little birdbrains and fun to boot. I will at times sit and watch the little ones battle it out. The sparrows are greater in number, but the chickadees are slightly bigger and faster…

Soon the food is gone and they leave to go find somewhere else to play. They come back all day and check out the ground for scraps. There always is some and sometimes, I put out dried bread to let them have some treats…

The birdbrains are family now and they are fun to have around…

Time to get the big camera out! The trees are turning and at +2 this morning, frost is right next door!

Have a nice day…

Mourn those that died, but Talk about 9-11…

We got issues....
We got issues….

imagesNo one in America wants to talk the truth about 9-11 and all those people being murdered in the Twin Towers in New York…….Are you scared to talk about what happened?

No one wants to talk about the Pentagon being hit by a jet? Yes it is a big question mark actually!

No one wants to talk about the jet that hit the field and simply dissipated from sight!

No one except a few vilified people!

The rest of us people in and from America simply just accept that, “One man dood-it!

We killed so many in Iraq alone, that we are not even able to cheat a low kill number!

(http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/10/15/iraq-death-toll_n_4102855.html) Nearly half a million people have died from war-related causes in Iraq since the US-led invasion in 2003, according to an academic study published in the United States on Tuesday. – Shouldn’t we be mourning these people also? Since it was proven they did nothing and had nothing to do with the situation! We mourn our loss, but ignore the insanely amount we killed in Iraq…

We lap up the Hogwash as if it is tasty and a treat!

No one except a few, not scared to have their reputations tarnished for life…

I ask continually and look for answers to these thoughts…

  1. Did the CIA cover up the forehand knowledge?
  2. Who really had the reins at the White House the day it happened?
  3. What the hell happened to NORAD?
  4. Why was the finger pointed at Iraq?
  5. What really hit the Pentagon and left no debris?
  6. Who alerted many people working in the Towers, not to come to work that day?
  7. Flight 93 – disintegrated?
  8. How and why did the Twin Towers and other buildings collapse as they did?
  9. How did guys who could hardly fly a Cessna, perform better than trained men trying to simulate the situation?
  10. Why did China get to haul off the debris (steel) from New York?
  11. 9/11 Commission?
  12. Where did the energy required to collapse the buildings in free fall come from?
  13. Why did the Twin Towers collapse to a fine dust?

hmmSeriously people! There are a thousand questions to be asked and we need to all ask. We can still mourn those who died, but do we have to accept the story we have been given for the whole thing. Nothing adds up and that is not hogwash! The hogwash is what we have been fed…

People died, many people died on 9-11! (But many more died from our reaction against innocents!)

I think we deserve the truth and nothing but the truth!

I am tired of the Hogwash we are fed constantly…

You should read this, by someone who was there…

I remember 9/11 like it was yesterday. I was one year into my Wall Street career. I got up that morning just like every other morning and headed toward Union Square station to get on the subway down to 3 World Financial Center, the headquarters of Lehman Brothers. I had just purchased breakfast in the cafeteria when I saw one of the human resources folks from my floor yelling to evacuate. I was confused but I got my ass downstairs fast. When I got down there I joined the hundreds of others staring in awe skyward at the gaping hole in the North Tower of the World Trade Center. People speculated that a helicopter had hit the building, but I said no way. It looked like a bomb went off to me.

Working the fields and filling the wells… TVR

For two days the tractors have been roaring day and night. This morning I saw a John Deere 9620 with alternate track system, pulling an insane plow behind it. This monster has to have cost an arm and a leg to buy and it roars like a dragon as it plows the fields. I could not get pictures, but the images below are about what I saw…

I have talked about how huge John Deere is in Russia and they are growing yearly here in the evil Russian landscape… 😉

John DeereJohn Deere – I have many more articles if you care to search…

This years harvest is huge and they are getting ready for the farming gamble and getting next years harvest going. Our Tiny Russian Village overlooks some of the most fertile land I have ever seen. The Russians have almost reopened all the old Soviet fields and in fact are starting to open unused land and clearing areas the size of small states in the world. Agriculture has become Russia’s forte and investment has 100 fold increased. Farming is the root of a country and without it, you have no future. Russia has land, more land and a bunch more land. They are using it and it shows…

There just is not anything that Russia does not produce, grow and or create and make. I am just amazed at the fact that I have been here to watch this revolution of growth and entrepreneurship….Just like the old days in America…

Boza and I were a day behind in filling the wells. I was pretty sick yesterday! My blood sugar got messed up and it was my fault. Simple really, my fault! This morning though, I was at 5.3 mmol/L. that is good and I feel a whole bunch better…

So, I am writing this post as I fill the wells and soon will have to go and turn the big well off…

200x150I decided, due to serious driver issues for many older programs, to reinstall Windows 7. Mainly to do with Android driver issues and I am big into Android. That was the actual deciding factor and I went head and swapped it out.I really like Windows 8.1, but serious driver crap was getting in my way of progress. When you spend most of the time looking for drivers to make something to work, then productivity is lacking. I installed Windows 7 and within minutes after setting up my desktop. I had solved my android issues… That is what it is about…

I also after months of studying, disassembled my laptop and fixed my screen. Using a magnifying glass that Svetochka gave me, I found several bent pins in the connections and with a toothpick, I straightened everything back out. Took me and my big clumsy hands several hours, but I did not rush and succeeded. It was a good lesson for me in patience…

My laptop does not need an external monitor now and I am one happy Bear!

Now that I have Windows drivers issues solved, I will get my images I have taken and post a few pictures in the next few days. I have been taking pictures, but, “Oh Well!” Things happen, you fix them and get on with life…

Sammy the Volga is running as good as she can right now. I ran another compression check and number one cylinder is very low. Number three is almost as low. Two and four are okay! Number one fires about half the time, at its best and number three fires about all the time. It has settled out and is waiting my decision on what to do with the engine…I guess we need to get it done next week?

It runs so much better that it is a hard decision to make, because spending money that needs to be other places is hard to do, but soon the car engine will die completely and Sammy the Volga is family, we do not let family die unless we can not help it…

I have been to town twice since getting the car temporarily fixed, it sings a tune with a miss in the engine, she is happy, but sick and she knows it!

The Volga is a tough car…

Something sad:

Russians expect war with America. Or better against the West. China has sided with Russia and Iran has sided with Russia. There are many more countries and the truth is, Europe will be the battle field. If Europe could be smart, and that is if! They would drop the western games and slide on over to the East. They would embrace China, Iran and Russia!

For this time, the world needs to take the battle field to the USA! This is the only way that Americans will see the light. The fact is we have allowed the US government to mess the world up badly. Too many Neocons in too many important places. They are running rampant and the end game is coming…

The truth is:

The Russians will fight to the very last person. They have true feelings for their country. They are very and I mean very particular about who tries to abuse them. The abuse is flagrant and in the Russians faces, by the Western Empire…

Will you fight to the bitter end? Do you have what it takes! I know I do, but I am few and far between as per Americans. The problem is, that at my age, you either fight for what is right or do not fight at all. That is something to think about…

Russia is getting ready for war!

I mean they are getting the mindset and the physicality for real war and expect it to come to them. Many will die on both sides, but I will say again, “This time, no matter where war is started, if America starts a war with someone like Iran, China and or Russia, the war will end on American soil, with Washington DC turned to dust!”

If you had your act together, you would realize that China has been for the last 10 years, producing weapons at an alarming rate. Russia has been sharing technology and China has advanced tremendously in the weapons field. Russia has some amazing tech and even though America has very advanced tech, “The slaughter on both sides will be horrendous.” This is not a playground where kids get in a scuffle! This is reality on a huge scale and America will be burned deeply in this scuffle…

Many will live through it! It will be a different world when it is over. It should not happen…

It will not happen if people get off their asses and stop what the Western Empire is doing. If you can’t see what they are doing, then you have a bunch of studying to do…

The world is big enough for us all. No one or no country needs to control the world and the world is big enough to fight back…

I think this quote below sums up the difference in mindsets. I see Europe thinking about the past, but I see a bully pushing for the new dream war of delight on European soil. I think in the end, America will find itself alone and will either back down or go all out and try to take the world with it. That is sad…

“Most Americans view World War II nostalgically as the “good war,” in which the United States and its allies triumphed over German Nazism, Italian fascism, and Japanese militarism. The rest of the world remembers it as the bloodiest war in human history. By the time it was over, more than 60 million people lay dead, including 27 million Russians, between 10 million and 20 million Chinese, 6 million Jews, 5.5 million Germans, 3 million non-Jewish Poles, 2.5 million Japanese, and 1.5 million Yugoslavs. Austria, Great Britain, France, Italy, Hungary, Romania, and the United States each counted between 250,000 and 333,000 dead.” – Author: Oliver Stone

WOW! I have been busy…

Sorry lost track of time! I just realized that life overcame writing in the blog and that was that!

Nothing major, just internet was down one day and the car was down the next day. It has been thunderstorms and rain like cats and dogs! Then yesterday, I limped Sammy the Volga to the Big Village and Andrea a friend, helped put Sammy back on the road healthy again…

The picture above is of our old ignition distributor in the car and several weeks ago, I had bought a new one. I had a premonition about future issues and I try to keep certain parts available for fixing our car. I could not figure out what was wrong, it was a strange issue and seemed to be floating between ignition and or carburetor…

I adjusted and adjusted and adjusted…

Then it got worse and worse and worse…

With some footwork by Svetochka on the telephone, I backfired and stumbled Sammy to the Big Village and after much arm waving and pointing at various things. Andrea finally decided to pull the distributor and see what was what. We both looked at each other in surprise, when he turned the distributor over and there was this big hole on the engine side of it. It had been broken out from the inside. Something wanted to get out badly and obviously it did…

But the car still ran! Maybe not the best, but it still ran…

Now it did not end there. We decided that we needed to adjust the valves, check compression, adjust the clutch and several other things. There is a drive on lift in the Big Village that everyone uses to work on their car. Yes free, unsafe and no lawsuits regardless, if you kill yourself while doing your own work… 😉 (Part of why I love Russia!)

Now this is where my stashed rubles from donations come in. I have money collected the past year that had no specifications of its use. Yesterday, it was tapped to fix Sammy the Volga. We found clutch issues, also, and of course I knew about that, but just worked around it. Called adjust driving skills to the state of the car…

After all day at the Big Village, we had twenty guys from all over the village come to help or input their opinion about what we were doing wrong and what they were doing wrong and what girls were mean and who had beer and who had vodka and who is going to do what with his own car next and which car is better and after lots of part runs and small talk and lunch and this and that. The car (our car) was able to go down the road again, without stumbling and backfiring and shifted good to boot…

10 various auto parts, what seemed like ten hours and 5000 total rubles later, including the parts. Sammy went home as I sighed relief….Nice ride home!

It was fun, but I was wore out. These guys are half my age basically and they have energy to burn. I crashed and burned last night at around 7 p.m. and thus, I am up at 2 a.m. this morning! While I am sure that these guys were all still up and running as I was getting up!

* * * * * * * * * *

Sad news is:

Sammy needs an engine! She is running on basically two cylinders out of four! No lie, cylinders 1 and 3 are almost no compression. I have it lined up and will scrounge funds from “Peter to pay Paul” and next month, if all goes right. I will leave Sammy in the Big Village for a week and have a engine from another Volga put in her…

Our Sammy has the tried and true, good for (I can attest to this) millions of kilometers model 402 engine. Tough as nails and runs forever, except forever has come around….Sammy will get an engine that could not have been bought with her when new (model 406.) It is an engine from a much newer Volga…

Big difference in technology, between the engines. The engine that Sammy has (ZMZ-402) is very original all the way back to Volga 21 (1950’s) and the other (ZMZ-406) is only made since 2005! So, much more modern for the old girl…

The bad part is:

It will cost 45,000 rubles! But that is engine and everything…. Rebuilding the engine would have would run twice and or trice that and in the process we get a whole bunch more engine and usable power. But! When you get use to driving on two and a half cylinders, LOL, a Yugo seems fast…

Thoughts over a cup of wonderful coffee in TRV…

I finally solved my cellphone issue!

imagesI broke another cellphone, that is a common thing for me. I carry them with me with whatever I do and they get smashed. I am simply very rough on any cellphone and they do not last with me. I guess it is a personal issue and no matter how hard I try to protect them, they end up dead…

Always…

Well I have an old smartphone and after letting it sit on the charger for two days, it finally took a charge. I charged it fully and then went online to see about an updated OS for it. I found what I needed and spent yesterday revamping the whole phone. I stripped out what I do not need and turned it into strictly a phone and I don’t care about the fact it is very old android for an operating system. It has a great camera, good reception and the phone part just works. Hard to beat Android Gingerbread for reliability…

Therefore, I have a good working phone again…

Boza and I got into another fight with the two trash dogs that run the countryside. They will probably stay away after this round. Boza and I whipped them bad and it is a good thing Svetochka was not here, she would have been terrified at the noise and stuff. This all happened at 5 a.m…

I am struggling with Windows 8.1 and driver issues. This is a serious problem with Windows 8.1 and many of the issues are not happening with Windows 8. Windows 7 does not have the issues. I am contemplating going back to Windows 7 as I write this and really do not want to. I like Windows 8.1 and am very happy with it, other than driver issues and most of those issues are with Android devices. Just seems that I am not able to keep Android device drivers from being corrupted all the time. I am big into Android and it makes me a grouchy bear… 😉

We have so many tomatoes and for someone who can hardly eat tomatoes, this is nuts! I get a canker sore in my mouth when I eat tomatoes. The acidic level is too much for me. I can cook them and eat them, thus, I have been drying tomatoes like crazy. Lots of tomato soup this winter!

Seriously, there has to be a hundred tomatoes on the vine right now and some are just plain huge. Oh, I love eating tomatoes…

Well we have succeeded…

Coffee-iconThe USA has officially succeeded in pissing off China and Russia both. Our president has been set to a level of respect less than just about any country around in the world now. Everyday we walk a straight line to war and war is just about all that is left, that we seem to be able to do and that is questionable!

Change the end results by trying to cover it all up and by laughing it off, but a snafu is a snafu and it just so happened that Putin had no issues, as did the others that appeared at the G20! China may have had some internal conflicts going on, but the animosity showed and showed clearly….Those animosities are what cause the end result to become violent…

I also say, “An arrogant man is a weak man.” This can be changed a little bit, “An arrogant country is a weak country.”

Obama is lucky, the loathe that came out in the situation, could have been exponential and no one could have stopped it. When a president of a country that has terrorized the world to the extent America has (take it or leave it, but step across the border and live a few years, walk with the peasants, you will see,) trouble is never far behind in a retaliatory way. This is a very bad thing and if it keeps up! The American president will become unable to travel the world freely, by means of non-safety…

Everyday in the real world and if you live in America, or the USA as some people vehemently correct you when you say, “America,” has worked itself into a situation of disrespect, caused by flagrant violations in international situations and by (In simple terms!) being a bully against the world. Strong arm tactics only carry the message so far. If you have to use coherence to get what you want? Then you have failed somewhere down the line of progression to the end goal…

* * * * * * * * * *

The sides are forming and the fence riders are starting to come down from the fence. The more pressure that is pushed for reasons of insanity, as the USA has been doing lately and the more countries realize that they are next, in the Geopolitical games of the world. China stepped down and it now shows. China has firmly planted itself with Russia and Iran. Soon and sooner than you think, the division line between east and west will be drawn on a map. That line will become the war sector if allowed to be. The west is indebted to the east and has no way to pay it back, short of default and or war….Either way sucks and will shake the world to a new start. I see both default and war as the end result…

* * * * * * * * * *

I wish that we would just admit we are broke and file the world equivalent of bankruptcy. Start over, clean the slate, suck it up and swallow or pride. When you cause your own issues and don not want to pay your debt owed, then we have a saying…

“Pay the piper!” ….There is a proverb, “He who pays the piper calls the tune!” This simply means that anyone who provides money for any reason, has the right to express what, how and when it can be spent, used, and no why is necessary!

Or we could look at it this way, as we contemplate what we are doing…

Pied Piper

Time to “Pay The Piper” people… One way or the other! People lose their homes all the time and their car is repossessed all the time, when they do not pay their bills. Some pay their bills by borrowing and hoping for a reprieve, as their money tree grows in the backyard!

Have a nice day!

Shower houseShower house is getting there. I am using old wood and the wood that Father Pavel gave me for a donation. It is not pretty, but it is strong and functional. It also matches everything else around the Tiny Russian Village Home!

The blue thing on top is the shower tank. It has a heating element and I will find a flexible shower hose. The device has a turn valve and can be turned off and on at the shower tank. The place will have a bench to sit on to shower at and a wide bench to hold clothes and stuff. I also will build several shelves to hold shampoo and such. I have a set of outside stairs that I am building to be able to climb to the top and fill the tank safely. It is still a work in progress and will be done soon…

straw boss bozaOh and this next picture is my straw boss…

He stays far enough away to not have to work, but close enough to make sure I work! It is good to have a boss and Boza is, The Boss!

I think I will take a break from the shower house today. I have to install a distributor in the Volga and if I do, that will most likely take all my energy and thinking power for the day…

It is a yucky rainy type of day, but no rain really! So the wood is damp and really no fun to work with. I have a million things to do, including working on the inside of the home. It is time to start rebuilding the wood burning brick stove. Lots to do and not enough time or money to get them all done…

But the term “Fun” is what comes to mind!

Tiny Russian Village has a ghost…

Four times, well actually five times including last winter with Svetochka…

coffee-yummyI have seen a person that just simply disappears in thin air. Sveta has seem this person, or at least as well as they could be seen from a kilometer away. I have seen this entity up close and it is an old man, very old and he walks slowly and looks around. He stays near the dam area of our lake and today was the nearest that I have been able to get to him…

It was 5 a.m. and just getting light out. The eastern sky was glowing and I could see very well. I was standing at the top of the hill and noticed a man walking up the road. He had on what looked to be dark wool pants, dark wool coat and a strange white hat. A hat that looked like a military hat. He would walk a little bit and then stop bend over look at something on the road and then straighten up and look around. At that point he would walk a little farther…

Always on the road…

Normally I would go another way. Many times I do not want to meet anyone and go around these people. Therefore, when I recognized this person, from several other times seeing him in the distance, I walked toward him. He never acknowledged me and we became closer and closer. Boza stop and sniffed the air when he was about 10 meters from him. I was still 50 meters away. Boza, started to growl and the hair hackled on his neck and back. The guy paid Boza no mind…

I then blinked and realized I needed to keep my eyes on him. So, I walked and tried to not even blink. It was time to meet this guy. After twenty meters or so, I found myself with watery eyes and was fighting the urge to blink. (Until you try to keep from blinking, you never realize how often you do blink!) I stepped to where Boza was and we were about 10 meters away. Through blurry eyes, I saw a very very old man…

I blinked my eyes to clear them, he was gone….Boza then calmed down and we walked to where he last stood. No prints in the soft wet sand of the road! No sign of him and no inkling of where he went, was or had been, or even could be. Boza was happy and went running down the road looking for kitties, as he loves to do. Boza can not see well at all, but he knew something was there and then something was gone…

Boza played in the lower dam area and stirred up a kitty, I stood and studied the area for signs of who and what had been there. I could find nothing and realized, that he was never there. Or at least there in a physical sense….The Tiny Russian Village has many spirits from the old days and I have had my share of meeting them. In one form or another…

This one seems to be only located on a certain section of the road. Several villagers know of said spirits and that was a subject that I talked to the Bishop about when he came a month or so ago. They have a list of rumored sightings in the village for all the years it has been here and he knows it is true, or wants to understand it better…

I looked at my prints I had left in the sand behind me. They were clear and defined! No questions that I had been walking in soft wet sand. I looked at the road where he had walked up, the same sand, same wetness and found not a single footstep until we got to where the roads net. Then I found two sets of shoe prints and I knew who they were from and in fact, I just met a few minutes ago, as I am writing this article, one of the ladies who made the prints. She had walked her daughter to the bus stop several kilometers away and was coming home. She was happily eating plums from her part time villager brothers home. She makes little humming sounds of happiness as she munches on these plums. I can always hear her as she walks to her home… 😉

So Boza and I walked to the main road near the fish building and turned around. We retraced our steps, on purpose and I looked again for what I could have missed. We reached a point that the sand is very soft and hard to walk in. Not a print, except what I had left and they were deeply imprinted in the sand. This person who disappeared had walked through this same spot. I watched him do it…

Four times and I hope many more…

I want to get close enough to study him. He intrigues me and I feel a need to try to contact him. Could you imagine the knowledge he may be able to pass on, if he is even able to. From his clothing, he looks to be from early 1900’s…

No I am not crazy and Boza will tell you that we saw something….and I like what I saw….Next time I am saying, “privet (привет)” – which is short for privetstvuyu (приветствие,) which is a greeting of friendliness and try to get his attention!

I hope he knows Russian?
