We almost got plowed out yesterday. But something happened (?) and the tractor turned around and left. We simply have a mess down below in the valley, but there has been a huge parking area made. I guess we do not rate good enough to get fully plowed… 🙁

Today,I will walk out to the bus stop and go to the Big Village. I will find a frozen pizza and some Diet Pepsi. Sometimes you have cravings and these are what I have been craving. Just the way life is. Kinda hard to find pizza in the Tiny Russian Village…
I will walk Boza several times, feed the Birdbrains, feed Boza and after a second cup of coffee, take off through the snow. Actually they plowed enough and Father Pavel had guys shovel a fair path to the other side of the river. The road on the other side is great and this walk to the Big Village will be easy. Though it is snowing right now outside, so before we get snowed in again. I better get going…

Looks like Svetochka will come to the Tiny Russian Village around the 25th of February. She has to get through her getting well time from her surgery and then she will come to play in the village. Boza and I miss her very much and we look forward to her coming. She cannot carry much weight for six months and she will be coming lightly loaded to the village. I hope that they have everything plowed good at that time, so that her and Boza can walk and walk and walk.They are two peas in a pod, those two… 😉

Father Pavel stopped by yesterday, just to say “Hi!” and find out if everything is okay? He was in a good mood and he had three guys with him to shovel snow. The church has been shoveled out from the three feet of snow and looks good up there. I need to get some pictures of the monastery…
Father Pavel is why we got plowed as much as we did. He tries to persuade people to keep access to the monastery, but it is hard, it snows a lot. Just as it is snowing right now and if we blink our eyes, the plowed roads will be snowed in again. It is endless and a vicious cycle out here in the Tiny Russian Village…

I am running my compiled Linux and it has shown to be extremely stable and able to do anything Windows does. The security of Linux as an OS is just very peaceful and allows you to enjoy the internet much more. I ended up using Arch Linux as a base and GTK window manager, with Manjaro as a desktop. It works good. I installed Arch Linux base form and compiled from there…. It is rock solid in performance, now I need to find what I will dual boot with, or even triple or more boot. I see some interesting Linux distro’s that have been developed since I use to dwell heavily in Linux. Linux is actually very fun and there are flavors now that allow non users to easily install. I use Arch as a base, because it has much more control for the user to explore. Arch needs more hands on through terminal usage and scares many newbies…

I always smile when I see the picture above. The world of isolation is actually opposite of what the image shows and that is the point of the image. I hate to see the hole that the West is digging for itself and at the same time, I am so glad that I escaped the chaotic world of the Western Empire…

Days of tending the fire and finally last night, the weather started to turn to the better. It has been bitterly cold and I have had to check on the fire every hour all day long. The wood stove is old and has its limits. We need a new one, but cost is prohibitive. I will again in the summer, try to rebuild it and make it more efficient this time. I have an idea to add many bricks to the whole thing and thus, give more mass to help heat the home. Last night I was able to sleep all night without worry and woke up at 1:30 a.m. with it just -6 outside. What a blessing…
Therefore, tomorrow it will be -4 and I will walk to the main highway and go to the Big Village. I have plenty of food and such, just have been cooped up and need a break from life. Besides, I am thinking of getting a cheap frozen pizza and cooking it in our oven. Sounds yummy…

Cold and very cold is a perception that you do not understand, until you experience them next to each other. I walked out this morning with Boza and it was warm. It is all mental I realize, but it was so pleasant and I was happy. I found that as we walked, I was overdressed. For the last three days I have had to be very careful when going out. The cold will catch you unaware and bite you hard. When your nose drips and if freezes on your nose, You know it is cold… 😉

I use to be called a “Commie Fag” and called every name in the book. Now I am called a “Nazi Scum Fag” and that just shows me the MSM at work in the western world. During this last election, the term Nazi has become the calling sound of the democratic party. Really kinda sad and very sick in many ways. The so called supporters of gays, transgenders and many other quirky groups, is and has become the exact thing and tune they spout constantly. I see serious lack of mental capacity mixed in a huge portion of the American populace, much less the places in Europe who are crazier than dancing pink elephants. There is some serious psychognosis in the minds of western people right now…

Unless the U.S. government’s lies about Crimea — the ‘Russia seized Crimea’ narratives — become acknowledged to be lies, war between the U.S. and Russia can only continue to become increasingly likely, because the world is sliding toward World War III based upon these lies, and will therefore inevitably continue that slide until these lies are publicly repudiated by the U.S. government, which is their sole source. The liar on this is clearly the U.S. and not Russia: the U.S. is the entire source for the alleged cause for war between the U.S. and Russia.
The preparations for war between the U.S. and Russia continue naturally apace until the United States publicly acknowledges that Russia had not ‘seized’ Crimea — acknowledges that the cause for all of these war-preparations by the U.S. and its NATO and other allies against Russia is fake, a U.S. lie, and that Russia is purely America’s victim in this entire matter and acting in a 100% defensive way against America’s aggressions in this matter.
Anyone who is closed-minded to the possibility that the U.S. is lying and that Russia is telling the truth about the relationship between the two countries, would therefore be simply wasting time to read here, because the solid documentation that will be provided here will prove that that’s not only a possibility; it is the fact, and those widespread false beliefs will, indeed, be disproven here. PRESENTATION OF THE CASE
Obama-Trump economic sanctions against Russia are based upon the lies that are to be exposed as lies, in the links here. So too are the NATO movements of U.S. troops and missiles right up to Russia’s very borders — ready to invade Russia — based especially upon the lie of ‘Russian aggression in Crimea’. All of the thrust for WW III is based upon U.S. President Barack Obama’s vicious lie against Russia: his saying that the transfer of Crimea from Ukraine to Russia was not (which it actually was) an example of the U.N.-and-U.S. universally recognized right of self-determination of peoples (such as the U.S. recognizes to apply both in Catalonia and in Scotland, but not in Crimea) but was instead an alleged ‘conquest’ of Crimea by Russia. (As that link there documents, Obama’s allegation that it was ‘Putin’s conquest’ of Crimea is false, and he knew it to be false; he was well informed that the people of Crimea overwhelmingly wanted their land to be restored to Russia, and to be protected by Russia, so as not to be invaded by the Ukrainian government’s troops and weapons, after a bloody U.S. coup by Obama had — less than a month earlier — overthrown the democratically elected President of Ukraine, for whom 75% of Crimeans had voted. Obama’s own agents were behind that coup; they were doing his bidding. The aggressor here is entirely the U.S., not Russia, despite Obama’s lies.)
In other words: the renewal of the Cold War (and an increasingly hot war by the U.S. against Russia’s ally Syria, and elsewhere) this time against Russia (no longer against the Soviet Union and its communism and its Warsaw Pact military alliance, none of which even existed after 1991) is based upon Barack Obama’s refusal to allow democracy for the people of Crimea. The build-up toward WW III is that simple — a vicious U.S. lie, directed against Russia.
And that’s not the only instance where the U.S. government blocks democracy in order to conquer Russia by grabbing Russian-allied nations (first Ukraine, and then, increasingly, Syria). Twice in one day, U.N. Secretary General Ban ki-Moon said that Obama’s demand that Syria’s current President, the Russia-friendly Bashar al-Assad, must be prevented from being even on the ballot in Syria’s next election for President, is unacceptable, and that (as Ban said) «The future of Assad must be determined by the Syrian people».
Why is the West allowed to dictate to Crimeans, and to Syrians, that they cannot choose their own government?
This is the new, anti-democratic, United States government. This is the reality.
Lawrence J. Korb, who was U.S. Assistant Secretary of Defense during 1981-1985, quit the Cold War against Russia when the Soviet Union and its communism and Warsaw Pact all ended in 1991, and he wrote on 26 February 2016, headlining «Don’t Fall for Obama’s $3 Billion Arms Buildup at Russia’s Door». He was on the correct side about this, against the Obama-initiated thrust toward WW III, but he understated the evilness, by saying:
There is no Russian resurgence. Washington is playing on your Cold War fears to get you to pay for something the U.S. does not need and can’t afford. In one of the key justifications for the new $600 billion defense spending request, the Department of Defense has fallen back on a tried-and-true Cold War boogeyman: the threat of Russian aggression against allies in Europe. While there is no ignoring the Russian annexation of Crimea in 2014 and the Russo-Georgian war in 2008, to interpret these events as some kind of Russian ‘resurgence’ is to grossly inflate the danger Russia poses to NATO and the United States.
Neither in Ukraine nor in Georgia was the U.S. guiltless — to the exact contrary: the U.S. had sparked both of those conflicts on Russia’s borders. And Russia is not grabbing territory on America’s borders; the U.S. is grabbing territory on Russia’s. (Is Russia trying to overturn and replace U.S.-allied governments on America’s borders — Mexico and Canada? Of course not. But the U.S. tries to do it to Russia — and then blames Russia for what are actually appropriate responses to such U.S. aggressions.) Korb went on to say:
Though Crimea has been a historic lynchpin of Russian grand strategy for centuries, its open use of military force and political manipulation there in the midst of the Ukrainian Revolution drew an immediate response in the form of sanctions from the West. Russia is paying a massive economic and diplomatic cost for its aggression against Ukraine.
He ignored there that it was no ‘Revolution’; it was instead a U.S. coup in Ukraine, which overthrew the democratically elected government there and installed an illegal one, which was composed of fascists, who went on to do fascist things.
These euphemisms — the lies calling a coup a ‘Revolution’, and pretending that the breakaway of Crimea from Ukraine wasn’t a direct consequence of that bloody and illegal U.S. coup on Russia’s border — are what the buildup toward WW III is built upon; and, so, it must end now, or else civilization will.
Furthermore, Korb’s implicit assumption there, that post-Soviet (post-Empire) Russia, is no different from the USSR, but all just the same «Russian grand strategy for centuries», is no conclusion that he supports with any evidence, but is instead his purely unsupported assumption, which would severely weaken his case if it were true. It happens to be a false assumption. A person doesn’t become influential in governing circles in The West without buying into certain historical and cultural falsehoods; and Korb would not be cited at all here if he had not been such an influential person.
Similarly, his reference there to Russia’s ‘aggression against Ukraine’ is also a falsehood, which fits into the narrative that ‘Russia seized Crimea’, but repeating such lies is the price of admission into, or retention in, such governing circles. Whether the inclusion of such falsehoods is consciously intended or not, it increases the chances that an article in The West will be published. It’s part of the cultural mythology (such as produces almost all wars).
And, similarly, the rest of America’s Establishment trumpet such dangerous lies to the world. That too must stop, but since the U.S. press are mere stenographers for the U.S. government, the only way that it will stop, is if the U.S. government’s lies stop first.
Donald Trump, now as America’s new President, continues Obama’s lies. He was different back on 1 August 2016 when Politico headlined «Trump: Taking back Crimea would trigger World War III», and they showed video of him campaigning in Columbus Ohio saying (at 57:50-59:00 in this video) that as President he would drop the Crimea matter, because «I mean, do you want to go back? Do you want to have World War Three to get it back?» So, he was elected on the basis of his conveying to voters that as President he would simply end Obama’s anti-Russia sanctions and NATO threats, not continue those punishments and invasion-dangers against Russians unless and until the Russian government forces Crimeans to become ruled again by Ukraine’s government (now even worse than before — Obama’s government). But once ensconced into office, Trump promptly changed his tune, in his actual follow-through, as the now-President: His agent at the U.N., America’s U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley, said at the U.N. on February 2nd:
I must condemn the aggressive actions of Russia… The United States stands with the people of Ukraine, who have suffered for nearly three years under Russian occupation and military intervention. Until Russia and the separatists it supports respect Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, this crisis will continue. … The United States continues to condemn and call for an immediate end to the Russian occupation of Crimea. Crimea is a part of Ukraine. Our Crimea-related sanctions will remain in place until Russia returns control over the peninsula to Ukraine.
In other words: Trump’s answer to «Do you want to have World War Three to get it back?» is: Yes. He actually does. (Unless he quickly renounces what she said.)
Trump’s commitment there to continue Obama’s vicious lies against Russia, instead of acknowledging that they were and are lies (which acknowledgment must be done if WW III is to be avoided), is extraordinarily dangerous. It is a commitment to WW III, because Russia is in the right here, and will never knuckle under to America’s attempts to coerce Russia to do something shameful, just because the U.S. government demands it.
A matter of fundamental principle is involved here, and the U.S. government is on the evil side of it — even under the new President, who had promised otherwise. That’s a fact, just as much as such a statement as that «Genocide is evil» is a statement of fact, not merely an assertion of ‘opinion’. The U.S. government is on the evil side of the most important matter imaginable — potentially, WW III. (That’s what it will be unless Trump reverses himself yet again, this time with finality, by publicly acknowledging that Obama’s allegations that Russia stole Crimea were lies. That Obama’s whole basis for ‘the new Cold War’ was actually bogus. That the real aggressor in the entire matter was America.)

Those three documentaries provide the fundamental, the most crucial, history behind Obama’s escalation toward war against Russia. However, one of the essential elements of that historical background is absent from those documentaries, and it’s filled in by this article, which covers the post-1991 history — the portion of the operation that Obama was working so hard to culminate. The basic excuse for this evil is — as the fake-compassionate (and fake-democratic, and fake anti-invasion) Obama phrased it — «There’s no formula in which this ends up being good for Russia. The annexation of Crimea is a cost, not a benefit, to Russia. The days in which conquest of land somehow was a formula for great nation status is over». He had imposed these costs upon Russia, and then he possessed the nerve there to blame Russia for doing what it needed to do, and was ethically required to do, to respond to Obama’s aggression against Russia (by way of Obama’s prior seizure of Ukraine).
If Donald Trump continues Obama’s course on this, instead of publicly acknowledges that it was founded upon the lies that Crimea’s becoming again a part of Russia constituted ‘conquest of land’, then we’re still heading toward World War III, and doing it on the basis of American lies.
The only way to put a stop to it — other than putting a stop to civilization if not to perhaps all animate life on Earth — is for the U.S. government to acknowledge Obama’s lies about Crimea and Russia, as having been Obama’s lies. It means separation from the prior Administration, on the most important issue of all; and this will require Trump to say publicly that Obama was lying about Ukraine and Crimea and Russia.
Trump thus faces a stark choice here. Either he will declare that Obama was lying about these matters, or else there will be war between the U.S. and Russia. It’s his choice.
He’s no longer just a lying and prevaricating candidate, like he was before. He is now the actual President. If he continues imposing the policy of his predecessor, it will be the end of us all. It’s his choice to make; none of his advisors can make it for him.

I am cooking cutlets and sliced potatoes. A little salt, pepper and garlic powder makes for a perfect meal. I will transfer the skillet over to the wood stove after a bit and allow it to slow cook for several hours. Then come lunch time; Yummy…
Up at 3 a.m. and have already walked Boza twice. Kinda cold and kinda wicked out. It is nice seeing the sun, but with clear skies comes deadly cold. The clouds keep the world warmer here in our part of Russia and they call for clear skies for three days. It is 10 a.m. right now and the birdbrains outside have eaten and are shivering in the cherry and apple trees. I feel sorry for them, but I try to keep a food level going, for right now the little guys are not able to get to the ground to find food. I will make a trip this next Saturday to buy more millet to feed them. We have finally exceeded the height of the tallest grass with seed. I like my birdbrains and they are good company outside…
I just did Boza’s eyes and with that he sleeps for several hours. It seems to help and he still can see a few feet in front of him sometimes during the day. I look at any sight as a good thing. The sight we are saving, helps him get around in the village home. I keep everything in the same place inside and he can get around pretty good. When I forget though, he always runs into that chair or whatever that I left in the wrong place. But when he can see a little, I notice that he is able to stop in time and go around it. Outside is the same and he can see my light I carry. I use to shine it away from him, not to hurt his eyes, but I realized that he sees it very dim and thus straight at him is the best. It allows him to home in on me as we walk. My voice and the flashlight is vital for a nighttime walk. Daytime, if sunny, is hard on him. The sun blinds him completely. So a cloudy day, means he can see a little…

I have been working on my computer and compiling a new Linux distro for myself. Linux is a thing of beauty and this time my learning curve is much higher than in the past. I have given up on Windows, for it has become just too much of a burden to try to keep from phoning home to Microsoft and our governmental services that utilize those phone homes. It is better that you think I am crazy and nuts, keep it that way. It is better for you to live in that fantasy world. For if you think for yourself? You might not like what is happening around you…
I am using Bodhi Linux as a core and have gathered an ISO of a blend of programs. I will burn it to a DVD later today and be able to fall back upon it when trouble happens. I kind of like to experiment, thus I have an older laptop that runs XP and I leave it alone. That way I will always be able to get on line when I need to…

Going to go up to Vova’s today and see what food he needs. I stocked him some yesterday and today I will stock him some more. I am well stocked and was ready to be snowed in, but he relies upon his Niva 4×4 to get out. His Niva has had the starter (Bendix as Russians call it) quit and does not start. Thus he has been grounded and since he has had lots of friends stop by, who have been hunting, he likes to feed everyone, he is out of food. He is a pensioner and has a small amount to live on. So therefore, your donations are feeding Vova also. It is a good thing for the donations and we are able to eat, which is important in cold like this. I am able to walk out and get food, he is not! Oh he could do it, but he has once and he was out of commission for three days. Easier on me and I recover faster…
He does not like to have people see him not able to get by, but I live here and spend a lot of time with him. I know what state he is in. Nina has a daughter who comes out once a month and she brings a sled full of food and such. Vova has basically me. Vova is 4 or 5 years older than I am and respecting elders is what it is about… Well he is older…
Vova has eaten all his rabbits, except the breeding pair and I do not see or hear a chicken or rooster anymore. I stored a huge chunk of salo that he gave me and now will cut a chunk to return to him. If you are gathering, I am the sensible one and think ahead. Vova like many people live a day at a time…

-26 Celsius and a dancing doggy made me realize it was cold this morning again. There are several types of cold, some -20 and belows are almost gentle and not an issue. But when a breeze is blowing and the humidity is high enough, cold becomes a true reality and this morning, the moon was bright, the air was crisp, snow was drifting like little mice scurrying for cover and the humidity was high. It was bitter cold this morning…. I like to complain about something everyday, thus, I will complain about the cold today… 😉
Then I looked around me and found this; The home was +20 inside the main room, +5 in the next room and Boza was upside down sleeping on the couch, happy as can be. Life was good and life was happy. Though seriously, Boza went running down the hill to do his doggy business and passed me going home, before I had a chance to contemplate what was happening…. Boza smart…

I looked at some pictures of Russia and the people in the pictures had on furs. The comments were terrible. The site was being attacked by lowlifes, who have no idea anything about Russia and degrading the pictures, because of the people wearing fur coats and other fur items. Seriously, someone sitting in Britain and or the USA have no idea of real cold. Maybe in the northern parts, but real cold except in the mountains of the USA is not available. I know North Dakota is cold, but all you have to do is look north to Canada and see what they are up to…

I look at an image like this above and realize how we in the Tiny Russian Village are blessed with Bahama weather most of the time. Life is really just how you perceive it and as always, life can always be worst…
But, in my case, I would love to be living in this weather station…
This year I am in much better shape and made it first trip…

As last year, I woke the village up and people came out by the dozens to take pictures of me. I am some what of a local celebrity and this time I had to answer questions…. Questions that made me run away…
A group of five Russian woman came and asked me questions, such as, 1. Am I married?, 2. Am I lonely in Kommuna? 3. Do I need help carrying my stuff? 4. Do I eat good?
I was polite and as Svetochka says, “That is an issue with you!” Politeness is misinterpreted…
Seriously, they were nice ladies and they took the news good (for they know that I am married, but…..) that I was married and very much in love with a perfect Sweet Pea of a Russian woman. They seem to have had some English lessons…
I then found out that a younger girl from America was living in the village. I gathered she was teaching English, but she refused to come out to see me. They tried to get her to come and talk to me (Translator of course said the horse!) According to the Russian ladies, she is scared of everything, everyone and is very shy! I did not care to meet her anyway. I do not take much sympathy for students who come to Russia unprepared. She is on some program with school or something, this is the normal reactions from many of our students that come to Russia. Simply scared, they come, do their job with as little mingling as possible and go home to America, with very little knowledge about Russia…. I would meet her, but my reputation as a tough & different type of a American, proceeds me and would most likely send her hiding again…

The ladies helped me to the edge of the village and stood and waved goodbye. Yes, I ran! Running from women is this Big Bears first impulse and has saved me many times in my life! 😉
I told Svetochka about it all and she laughs, but realizes that there are many Russian women, who cannot find a man at all. In Russia there are many more women than men, especially in the tiny Villages…
One old man (old enough to make me feel young) in the store said to me, “You Kommuna” – “vy Kommuna?” I said, “Yes!” – “Da!” and he nodded in agreement, as he looked at my pile of goodies, I was buying…. From that, the word spread fast and again I was in the spot light. I agree with Svetochka, Just go to the Big Village. Life is easier there for me…. I blend in there…
It is fun to go, but am extremely hard trip. Through the woods, across a river and many many kilometers. But this year, I am in much better shape and did it fairly easy. But I will say that my feet hurt today and I slept good last night…
People in these villages are very nice and very helpful. That is what I see in Russia. People that care, smile and would give the shirt off their back if you needed it…
Interview with Flemish priest in Syria: “Putin and Assad saved my life”
Interviewer: You are very critical of the media coverage on Syria. What is bothering you?
“The idea that a popular uprising took place against President Assad is completely false. I’ve been in Qara since 2010 and I have seen with my own eyes how agitators from outside Syria organized protests against the government and recruited young people. That was filmed and aired by Al Jazeera to give the impression that a rebellion was taking place. Murders were committed by foreign terrorists, against the Sunni and Christian communities, in an effort to sow religious and ethnic discord among the Syrian people. While in my experience, the Syrian people were actually very united.
Before the war, this was a harmonious country: a secular state in which different religious communities lived side by side peacefully. There was hardly any poverty, education was free, and health care was good. It was only not possible to freely express your political views. But most people did not care about that.”
Interviewer: Sister Agnès-Mariam, the Lebanese-French prioress of your Mar Yakub (“Saint Jacob”) monastery, is accused of siding with the regime. She has friends at the highest level.
Father Daniel: “Sister Agnès-Mariam helps the population: she has recently opened a soup kitchen in Aleppo, where 25,000 meals are prepared five times a week. Look, it is miraculous that we are still alive. We owe that to the army of Assad’s government and to Vladimir Putin, because he decided to intervene when the rebels threatened to take power.

U bent zeer kritisch op de verslaggeving uit Syrië. Wat zit u dwars?
,,Er klopt niets van het idee dat er een volksopstand plaats zou hebben tegen president Assad. Ik ben sinds 2010 in Qara en heb met eigen ogen gezien hoe agitatoren van buiten Syrië de protesten tegen de regering organiseerden en jongeren rekruteerden. Die beelden werden door Al Jazeera uitgezonden om de indruk te wekken dat hier een rebellie gaande was. Er werden door buitenlandse terroristen moorden gepleegd, in de soennitische en in de christelijke gemeenschappen, in een poging om onder de Syrische bevolking religieuze en etnische tweespalt te zaaien. Terwijl in mijn ervaring het Syrische volk juist heel eensgezind was.
Voor de oorlog was dit een harmonieus land: een seculiere staat waarin verschillende geloofsgemeenschappen vreedzaam naast elkaar leefden. Er was nauwelijks armoede, het onderwijs was gratis, de gezondheidszorg goed. Het was alleen niet mogelijk om vrijelijk je politieke mening te uiten. Maar dat kon de meeste mensen niks schelen.”
Zuster Agnès-Mariam, de Libanees-Franse moeder overste van uw Mar Yakub (‘heilige Jacob’) klooster, wordt ervan beschuldigd te heulen met het regime. Zij heeft vrienden tot op het hoogste niveau.

P.S. – The Flemish Father Daniël Maes (78) lives in Syria in the sixth-century-old Mar Yakub monastery in the city of Qara, 90 kilometers north of the capital Damascus. Father Daniel has been a witness to the “civil war” and according to him, Western reports on the conflict in Syria are very misleading. In short: “the Americans and their allies want to completely ruin the country.”
