As part of what I have been telling about, I am getting my major checkup here in Russia. I know, I know….Russia is a third world dump,~‽/s (~is that Sarc’ing the SARC?~) – “⸮”

But, hey I take great healthcare where I find it and in Russia, the healthcare is good and cheap…

Therefore, after I get done within the next few weeks all my tests. I will talk more about such terrible things as healthcare in Russia….there I go again being terribly sarcastic….I gotta stop doing that…

But…

After the tests yesterday, we went to eat at Burger King! Yippy, I love to have it, my way…

I guess I am just glad to be alive and most of my tests are looking good. I do have to go back and have MRI with contrast for my prostate. They found a couple of spots and will redo the test for free…what? For free? Did you say, “For Free?”

Yes, but remember all these tests are running me 50,000 rubles or right now $752. I know, I know, you think I am lying! I know I know, you can’t get your toenails trimmed for $752 in America…

This Monday Sunday I go back to be picked upon… (Then next week round three will happen.)

But the basics are…

Long term 3 month blood sugar is 4.7 mmol/l and or 85 mg/dl. Kinda low, but very very good for this diabetic….I work at my diabetes 24 hours a day, 365 days a year… It shows!

I do not have HIV… (Had four tests since coming to Russia. Russians are very good about testing for HIV and very aware of the issue…)
I have a node on my thyroid gland…
My cholesterol is low….(I keep to a diet!)
I do not have any blood markers showing cancer of any type…
In fact my numbers are better than a few years ago. 😉

Stage 1. Laboratory research: (This is done)

1 Complete blood count ✅
2 Biochemical blood test ✅
3 Lipid profile (high and low density cholesterol) ✅
4 Glycated hemoglobin ✅
5 Coagulogram + D-dimer ✅

Now I have to get ready for round two…

So far just two issues that I see: One a node on my Thyroid and we will have to retest for sugar in my urine. Something not right with the urine test…

Oh! Remember that diabetes can be controlled. Never gotten rid of, but controlled. Eat right, exercise, take you medicine and test your blood sugar: I mean test it all the time…

Says a lot about how poor our justice system really is…

PS: What amazes me is that if I was a Russian Citizen, all my healthcare would be free. That is the way it works for Svetochka. She only pays if she desires a certain doctor and or private healthcare clinic. I do not have that choice, I have to pay….granted it is dirt cheap and good quality, compared to my old USA standards…

This site is strictly driven by readers donations and it takes hundreds of dollars a year just to keep the basics going…

I will not spout about how I need money and will die and fall in in it, if I do not get that dollar!

But it helps and that is a good thing. In Moscow my finances are less exacting, compared to the Tiny Russian Village. Next year, I will be back in TRV and will need more help…

People have been very generous and even our car Sammy the Volga benefited from donations. Boza in his last years benefited greatly from many peoples generous donations for his eye medicine and such…

But, every dollar right now goes to keeping the domain online. Yes I still have the money donated for a 4X4 to use in the Tiny Russian Village. This is an important purchase that will happen one day….right now we are trying to get another village home (paper work) done and then come spring, I will have tons of work to do…

Winter is rough in Russia and it kinda shuts everything down for months…
